We booked two of the same rooms for our family of 4 (2 teens & parents) thru Expedia but we were given two different sized rooms at check in. The smaller one was too small for 2 people and as a result my husband indicated he would not stay there again if given that room. The larger room was comfortable for 2. Both were clean and well maintained.
Also experienced some issues at check in with their “online” checkin process. After completing everything in their online system two times (due to 2 rooms) they couldn’t get it to update and finally ended up having to write it all down manually. Their electronic checkin process needs improvement!
Additionally, parking is not very convenient due to being a garage that is a bit of a hike with suitcases. Otherwise location was nice and in a great area of town. Lots of restaurants & shopping nearby.

It was a last minute choice. The room was clean and bright under the roof. The staff was already on the go when we arrived and not totally happy to see us…

Excellent accommodation in Old Nuremberg. Wonderful location surrounded by shops, cafes and bars. Staff were friendly, room was clean, tidy and spacious. Would recommend.

The hotel has a serious staffing problem - reception closed at 1pm the day of our arrival and 2pm when we departed. This was a problem; we needed a place to leave our luggage until our train at 6pm and quite reasonably expected to do so at our hotel, but we were denied. Otherwise, Gideon is a first-rate hotel, which makes the service failure really glaring and troublesome.

Great hotel. Came In late at night after hours and had easy instructions on how to get our key from the safe. Great rooms, clean . Only problem was we weren’t able to stay another night .

Brilliant location - walkable to main Xmas markets, train station, the Castle and lots of shopping/food, staff were lovely, room was a good size and overlooked one of the lovely streets with Christmas decos. Really happy with this hotel and would stay here again for sure.

This property is convenient and walking distance to Christmas markets, local shopping, the castle and many cathedrals. The room was pleasant but there was no internet access. The windows open to the square, making it nice to sit, sip and watch the activity in the square. Keep in mind, there is no refrigerator in the room.

This was a last minute reservation and we’re so happy we found this place! Great location with lots of dining and shopping options, near the Christmas market, parking was nearby, decent and clean room and staff was friendly! Would definitely stay again!

The location is good, a bit noisy at night from the people in the Main Street. We had a corner room and the wifi doesn’t work well. We had to stand in the door way. The pillows were too flat and the heater doesn’t work. The room was too cold in the winter. There’s no coffee maker or tea pot to make a hot cup of tea in a cold room.

We loved this property. It is only a 6 minute walk from the train station. It is only a couple of minutes away from the Christmas markets. The imperial castle is not very far away. There are lots of dining and shopping options around this hotel. The traditional Franconia restaurants are further up hill. The staff were great and looked after our bags until we could check in. The room was quite spacious, quiet and clean. We would stay again

Interesting hotel that appears to be a repurposed older building. You actually have to walk through an alley and a hallway to an elevator that takes you to reception. Nothing wrong with that, it comes with the territory when you're in the heart of the city. Location was great for nightlife/food/etc. Not so hot for parking, but there were a couple of parking garages within 2-3 blocks of the hotel. Breakfast was in the "attic" and was quite delicious, with smiling, helpful staff. We had a room overlooking a main thoroughfare, so there was a little noise outside, just something to keep in mind if you're a light sleeper. Only there for one night but enjoyed wandering the city just a few blocks from the hotel.

I would have liked somewhere comfortable to sit in the room, perhaps a window bench…. Bathroom is very small, would benefit from some more shelving and some hooks for hanging hand towels.
Breakfast was good, staff on one morning could have been friendlier and actually engaged with guests. Other staff were lovely, helpful, warm and welcoming.
I was disappointed that the roof top deck bar was not open in the afternoon and evening.

Location is amazing, in the heart of Nuremberg old town, easy walking access to all main sites in old town. Breakfast is amazing as well, hotel is all renewed with comfortable bed and A/C.

Check in was a bit frustrating cause we were asked to scan the QR code to fill out our personal information online but the process wasn't smooth. We had to try several times and finally did it with a traditional way - paper form.
The lady at breakfast was SUPER NICE!! She welcomed us with greetings and English. Always make sure if we have everything we need. Always smiling when she is working! A big thumb to her!!

Great hotel across the the train station and right in the pedestrian zone. It was quiet and so cinvenient. Our room was not very large but worked just fine. Renovated and clean. The only thing missing was a frig. Great stay!

This was a 4 min walk from the christkindl market and right downtown. Make sure to ask about parking before you go there as they have a reduced rate in a nearby parking garage.
Room was clean, comfortable and private. Entry to hotel is secured by Rfid cards. We felt safe. Very pleasant employees and the boutique hotel is just really neat. The breakfast for a fee is worth it ! Enjoy your stay

If arriving late, they send you an email with which lock box your key will be in with the code to get in it. Once in your room, they have the WiFi code on paper. Arrived at midnight & it worked perfectly, esp for a short stay. Individually controlled air con was great end of sept even though it was cool outside! Saw a courtyard that housed some guests bikes. Perfect location in old town & quiet/good sleep.

Nice simple clean hotel. Airco also the best since it was superhot outside. A bed and bathroom like i said simple but most important it was clean!
