Before you book the Lincoln House, there are some things you should know: 1. It is NOT two blocks from the beach. If you walk in a straight line from the house to the coast, it's at least five blocks, and that brings you to a cliff that overlooks the beach. But there is no way down to the beach. You'll have to walk several more blocks for beach access. 2. There is no "fireplace." There is an electric wall heater that has a somewhat entertaining display that resembles a fireplace. It's just a pretty electric heater. Don't expect to huddle up to a cozy fire because there is no fire. 3. The deck that is so prominently featured in the pictures of the house was cordoned off with yellow caution tape when we arrived. It was unusable to us for the entire length of our stay. Frankly, the landing just outside the front door should probably have been cordoned off as well. The joist connectors that support the deck and landing are rusted through in many places--to the extent that the posts that are supposed to be supporting the deck do not actually contact the deck joists. There is also wood rot in many places on the landing, including just outside the front door. 4. When we arrived, we were greeted by the stench of an overflowing garbage can located at the base of the stairs that lead to the front door. It took two days to get the garbage collected. 5. We had a party of eight. The house was adequate for that size of a party.

The property was almost as listed - the deck was being repaired so could't be used, but I was contacted the week prior to my stay to let me know. The listing called it a Deck*BBQ*Fireplace rental although there was no BBQ - we were doing a big family thing and brought all the food and fixings for hamburgers, hot dogs, roasted corn on the cob and s'mores and then couldn't use them. Grandkids were disappointed. It was very close to the beach tho so we could walk there easily. We also had a view of the ocean from the living room. Would definitely recommend the property but strongly encourage a new title for the listing.

Clean, comfortable, well supplied residence. I had difficulty getting the access code, I think due to the host not having my correct email address. Overall we had a wonderful stay and have good memories of our family get together.

It was great for our family

The house is larger on the inside than it for appears but it’s such a great house! We loved the double king rooms so the adults had enough space. The only drawback was the online info said there was a bbq and we weren’t able to find one. Honestly if that was our only drawback- life is good at the beach.

We really enjoyed our stay! The house is very well appointed with lots of amenities, and very very clean. The outside stairs up to the property and upstairs deck could use some refurbishing. There was also a step inside to down stairs that needed repair. Other than that, everything was great, and we would definitely stay here again!

I enjoyed staying at this location with my friends and family. The decor was great and we loved the game closet. There was plenty of room for 3 adults, two teens and 3 littles. It was easier to drive to the beach with all the kids stuff than walk. The only concerns I have are the stairs in the house are very easy to slip on (almost all of us did) and there are rails loose and askew from the deck which is scary with small children.

Very accommodating for 8 people, short walk to the beach and food, and very comfy beds.
