What a unique place! Breakfast was fantastic, the decor is gorgeous, the little extras were very thoughtful and kind. We found it because we needed a room to sleep 3, which dramatically reduced the options for us, but what a gem we uncovered because of it! We had a great time playing trivia games and listening to your excellent vinyl collection in the lounge in the evening. Definitely would stay again if we’re ever back in town!

Beautiful historic home with friendly staff and complimentary breakfast ( you have to try the homemade yogurt!). Its central location was good for day trips into Wolfville, Anapolis Valley, Digby, Halifax and Hall’s Harbour.

We booked the Best King Room which had a private sunroom with a kitchenette. Every detail was thought of when designing this room as well as the common areas of the house. Our short stay was perfect. We wouldn’t change a thing (but maybe to stay longer if we visit again).

A nice boutique hotel, lots of attention paid to details. Had to catch a flight the next morning so unfortunately couldn’t try out the breakfast. Would definitely recommend

My husband and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the charming August House, and I can confidently say it was one of most enjoyable accommodation experiences I have ever had. This family/friend -run gem truly stands out for its warm hospitality, cozy atmosphere, and attention to detail. The rooms are beautifully decorated, blending modern comfort with a touch of rustic charm. Everything was impeccably clean, and the bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed the peaceful ambiance, which made it easy to unwind and relax after a long road trip. The staff are warm and incredibly friendly. Breakfast was a highlight of our stay. We were treated to a delicious variety of items including fresh coffee, yogurt, granola, bread from the local bakery and more.. it was also a wonderful opportunity to meet fellow guests and share interesting stories. The August House is a special spot located in the Annapolis Valley (Windsor, NS). A highly recommended stay!

Extremely clean, which I loved. The rooms were lovely and the fact that they were so clean made me feel very comfortable. We rented the suite (double rooms) to accommodate my two teenage children and it was perfect. Lots of room for everyone! I’ll recommend the August House to my friends and colleagues.

I nice quiet accommodation. Large spacious rooms. The breakfast looked amazing but we didn’t eat any. Service is only from 8:30-10 even on weekends. No staff on site for the most part… but they were a quick text away. We would definitely stay again.

The house was well appointed, spacious, newly renovated. Lots of nooks and crannies outside your room to relax and entertain. Definitely going back.

Loved the property and had a great stay. Only grievance was the included continental breakfast with our reservation which was not available this morning.

We had a wonderful time. The owners were extremely helpful and very friendly. They send suggestions of places to visit that we followed up on and they met our needs for exploring the area. We felt right at home and were very comfortable in this beautiful house. We would strongly recommend The August House to all our friends and family.

The August House is a gem! Beautifully redone centennial building with perfect modern touches. Several common livingrooms, record player, long dining table for eating or work, large common dining room with homemade quick breakfast. Extra large parking lot beside the house, easy entrance access, front steps were decorated for fall, our room was cozy and perfect for our needs. I loved that there was a small kitchen area with fridge, coffee maker, dishes for our use. Intamite touches upon arrival made us feel special (personalized note and delicious shortbread cookies). Any questions we had were answered right away. I will be staying here every time I come to the area (we were visiting Wolfville). It is worth every penny ❤️

The staff was excellent allowing early check-in and helping with the storage of excess luggage. The breakfast was excellent.

This room was so simply elegant and comfortable we loved the check in process and hosts quickly responded with dinner suggestions.

Can’t wait to come back! The space was beautiful, tasty little breakfast in the morning. We loved it.
