Great location to walk into centre, clean & comfortable. Everything you need for your stay. Bed v comfortable. Lovely bubbles to great you, tea & coffee.

The only minus was went to use the washing machine & it had a towel & throw in it, normally wouldn't have been a problem (just an oversight) but it also had little white beads in it? So didn't want to use it.

Location is great...stones throw from town, the river and the Abbey. Tidy, spacious, modern flat, and really peaceful despite the railway being close by. Highly recommend this flat if you are looking for a weekend trip to Shrewsbury. We just wanted somewhere to stay while visiting my mum and dad as their house isn't big enough for two families. Having grown up in Shrewsbury, it did feel kind of weird driving into the Gay Meadow grounds. The flat came with bottle of Prosecco and some Tassimo pods. we didn't need them, but it was a nice touch. All linen and towels were provided along with a well equipped kitchen.

A few things need rectifying in the flat, they didn't affect our stay but would if we were there longer: The tumble dryer is broken. There are notes telling you this in the flat. That means that there are almost no drying facilities at all. The provided airer just about managed our 4 bath towels. It's tiny. Given the flat is adequate for a family of 4, it needs better drying facilities; a working tumble dryer and a much bigger airer. There is nowhere to hang towels. We used the airer as we had no washing, but after the first day, we didn't once all have dry towels to use after our showers. The airer was in the hall in front of a radiator, so the towel nearest the radiator dried. A few hooks on the backs of the bedroom and bathroom doors would really help here. The bathroom glass door isn't fit for purpose. The bathroom floor was soaked after every shower no matter how much care we took. A curtain rail and curtain need to be fitted. Using a spare towel to semi dry the bathroom floor revealed that the floor stain is coming up, or the floor hasn't been mopped in a while. The towel we used on the floor was discoloured, as were our socks. We had to use a spare towel as there was no mop provided. With so much hard flooring in the flat, to me a mop is a must. There is a Swiffer and a hoover, but these only pick up dust and debris. There is nowhere to put toiletries in the bath room. A shelf is needed. The instructions in the flat request that you turn off the fridge freezer upon departure. That clearly hadn't been done in ages as the freezer was quite icy. I left a bath towel under the door. Nothing to be done about this one, but note the listing mentions its a third floor flat and there is no lift. This was expected as we'd read the listing, but I bet some folk miss that detail.
