Friendly staff. Good service. Rooms were very clean, comfy beds and lovely bed linen.

Had to order next day's breakfast the night before. Would rather decide in the morning. Rooms a little basic put ok for the price.

The room was nice and clean, the landlord with the beard was nice and super polite (explaining us everything of Hunstanton), the food was very good and fresh. Nice quality of wine.

Lovely large room with sea view. Warm and very comfortable. Beds really cosy. Large bathroom with shower and bath. Nice welcome pack of coffee and biscuits with bottled water.

I booked a last minute room for my son and I plus our little dog, for half term. We only stayed for one night. It started off well, staff were really nice and helpful. What we did like about the property was the location and the fact they were very welcoming towards dogs. The beds were clean and comfortable, and the bathroom was clean. The heating was good. The staff were really nice but overall I’m afraid we left very disappointed with our stay which is such a shame.

Upon arrival, we were told by staff that none of the electrics were working (or something to that effect, it wasn’t exactly explained) so there would be no chance of eating dinner there that night (we were only staying for one night and this was very disappointing because it made it difficult with our dog). We found Chives the only place to be open in the whole town and what a lovely little restaurant, the food was delicious! The bar area at the Wash & Tope is quite nice but upstairs, and the room, needs a lot of updating. Room smelt of old chip fat and we had an ugly view of walls. The tv didn’t work and there were wires hanging all over the place. Wi-Fi is awful. We were told when booking in that breakfast would be a cooked breakfast by 9am, and nothing else was mentioned about breakfast again. So we were up at 7.30 and went straight downstairs but it was all locked up and no staff to be seen! We waited around, and went downstairs a few times to see if breakfast was available but was still locked up and no staff to be seen so we decided to just leave as it didn’t look like we would be getting breakfast either, which we were really disappointed with. We had to drive all the way home to get breakfast as nowhere in Hunstanton was open, it was like a ghost town! This was all such a shame as we were looking forward to a nice short stay but it was ruined by the food situation sadly, and my son was really hungry by the time we got home. The room was £70 in total, £60 plus £10 for our dog, which I think is a lot of money for one night for the type of room we were given. I’m not going to write you off completely though Wash & Tope, as I would stay again to give it a second chance and because of the location and how you welcome dogs. We hope to get a better experience next time.

We had read reviews of people being cold and bathroom problems so were cautious. We were welcomed by a new manager at 3pm who had taken over the pub a month ago. She and the staff were very polite and kind. The room was very warm and shower was good! The pub is decorated well and cool photos of the railways that was where the car park is now. Was a clean room.

The mattress was clean but on the hard side.
