Beautiful looking hotel with great swimming pool. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Unfortunately lots of drawbacks though. Firstly the rooms have one of those weird windows between the bedroom and bathroom with a full view of the toilet so you have to have the blinds closed all the time. Once they're closed the bathroom is completely dark since the lighting is pretty but inadequate. The shower pressure is very low and there is only ever cold or lukewarm water. Breakfast isn't very good - no nice bread or pastries, the only fruit is a couple of plates of melon (which is such a shame given the amazing tropical fruit available at every stall along the road!). Coffee at breakfast is horrible too. The common areas including the breakfast restaurant are open without air conditioning. It was extremely hot and uncomfortable to sit there for long. Some fans would have made a big difference but I guess didn't fit in with the aesthetics of the hotel. The hotel isn't on the beach but it's a short walk away and there are numerous restaurants very close by. Overall our start was ok but it's a case of form over function!

The design of this hotel is like something from Grand Designs, high ceilings and walls all pointing towards the lovely pool and beach area to watch the great sunsets. However, rooms are a little tired and dated, all the metal balcony railing were corroded, and there was a musty smell in our room.

Very nice hotel with a very chill atmosphere. They will do everything to make your stay pleasant. We stayed here several times along the years. We got an upgrade and stayed in an amazing suite with beach view. It was very convenient with our small kids - and the room was so beautiful. We would definitely stay here again.

Nice hotel, most of the staff nice and friendly. Our biggest remark is that there was almost no water pressure and hot water, so taking a relaxing bath or shower was not ideal

AWA was an amazing experience! From the demanding beauty of the lobby to the sheik styling of the rooms and property. Perfect for families, couples, or anyone staying on koh chang. I highly recommend Awa resort.

AWA was an amazing experience! From the demanding beauty of the lobby to the sheik styling of the rooms and property. Perfect for families, couples, or anyone staying on koh chang. I highly recommend Awa resort.

My stay at the AWA was wonderful. We had a room overlooking the beach with beautiful view. Hotel has a great pool and beach space. Spa is top notch, best Thai massage overlooking the ocean. We were surprised by a nice NYE party, as not all hotels in the island offer one. We were overall very pleased with our stay.

Overall the property is really nice. Staff is friendly, helpful and polite. The room is spacious. We booked beachfront room and the view is very beautiful with the sunset. There was some dust and hair left in bathroom or on the table from previous guest. And the shower was annoying to control the shower and the warm shower. There was also smell from time to time from the drain. Breakfast is good with variety of options to choose. Still a good place to stay at as it’s also to easy to travel around.

The place was probably 4 star in its day, but that day has long since past. Breakfast buffet was good, but additionally charged food/buffet was average at best. The "Private Beach" is not a beachm, its a wall where the waves crash against it and there is a man made attempt of a beach, so if you are looking for a beach holiday/break, as were we, then this is not for you. Cleaning was also hit and miss in that one day our toilet suddenly started overflowing and the cleaner came in amd mopped it, but then used the leaked water to mop through the whole room without so much as a hint of detergent.

Great service and friendly staff. Nice rooms and resort. Kids room and kids pool. Overall we had a pleasant stay. A bit expensive in hotel restaurant. We would consider this hotel if we returned.

Don't believe what you see in the websites of this hotel. There are some pot holes at the hall on the floor that i was stay, the room door couldn't lock properly and golf cart didnt has light it was dangerous when pickup us at the parking area! If i can give the star for this hotel i will give only 2 stars and never come back again.
