Summary:
It is a space with an exceptional design, created to give you a unique experience. It has a premium location in the historic center, in front of the Gastronomic Center; close to the most representative sites, museums, party venues, bars and restaurants. It accommodates 1 to 2 people. You can relax on its spectacular private terrace. It has the amenities to rest or work efficiently; it has everything to be your home in Oaxaca!
The Space:
“Azúl” is inspired by the colors you find in the landscapes of Oaxaca: Its sky is unique, with a blue of different shades that gives you a feeling of peace and tranquility.
The apartment is located inside a building with a colonial facade, previously it was home to an Oaxacan family and their artisanal chocolate factory. After much effort, I remodeled it to turn it into an apartment building with a unique style, using basic colors and materials such as colored polished cement, stone and high-quality wood, preserving the original floors of the building.
I designed every detail with the goal of providing you with extraordinary experiences and sensations, from the moment you enter the building due to several elements:
1. For its premium location, on one of the main streets of the historic center where you will find restaurants, bars and places of interest, in front of the “Centro Gastronómico” (Gastronomic Center). One block from the main pedestrian street “Andador Turístico” where the best restaurants, museums and churches are located. Two blocks from the “Ex Convento de Santo Domingo” and the “Jardín Etnobotánico”. You will find party venues, convenience stores, markets with organic products, laundries, craft stores and the bike path a few steps away.
2. The apartment has a unique style, with multifunctional furniture designed exclusively for “Azúl” to maximize space, made of high quality wood, tiles designed by Oaxacan artists and special decorative details.
3. “Azúl” has 1 bedroom, 1 king size bed, 1 full bathroom with a double-height skylight, private terrace with a view of the mountains to enjoy the beautiful skies of Oaxaca, its sunsets and a panoramic view of the city.
4. It is equipped with everything you need to enjoy your stay whether it is for a couple of days or a couple of months, you will find a desk with a chair to work on, multifunctional closets, a full kitchen equipped with a gas stove, refrigerator and high-end kitchen utensils. It is ideal for a couple.
5. With high-speed WiFi you can work efficiently remotely, take video calls or quickly browse the Internet.
6. “Azúl” has a private terrace and also has access to the building's terrace, with one of the best terraces in the historic center. You will have a 270-degree view to enjoy the mountains that surround the Oaxacan valley, the historic center and the surrounding neighborhoods.
7. The building has, on the second floor, a shared laundry area, equipped with a washing machine to which you will have access.
8. It has a hydropneumatic system to ensure adequate pressure in the shower and water filters to remove minerals from the water.
9. You will have my assistance and that of my team to help you plan your trip, as well as to support you throughout your stay.
Guest Access:
You will have access to “Azúl” without time restrictions as it has a separate entrance.
The Neighborhood:
The premium location of "Azúl" allows you to enjoy this beautiful city and its tourist attractions on foot. The apartment is located in the heart of the historic center; right in front of the "Centro Gastronómico" (Gastronomic Center)
A few steps away from the apartment, you will find a small and charming plaza called "Cruz de Piedra" and the arches that were part of the city's aqueduct. On the street, where the apartment is located, you will find restaurants, bars, churches, craft shops, museums.
One block away is the "Jardín Carbajal" and the Café "Punto Paz", a place to rent bicycles, a place to do mezcal tastings and a tour agency to go hiking in the nearby forests.
The apartment is located one block from the "Andador Turístico", the main pedestrian street in the center of Oaxaca.
Two blocks away is the "Ex Convento de Santo Domingo" and the "Jardín Etnobotánico".
You will also find markets with organic products, laundries, convenience stores and galleries nearby.
The best party venues are just a few steps away.
You do not need a car to get around the center, but if you come by car, there are private parking lots nearby where you can leave your car or on the street.

You can get around on foot. The cycle path is just a few steps away, so you can rent a bike.
