Very nice and relaxing stay. A little dated, but it suited our needs perfectly.

My extended family from various states met for a week in the Black Hills and we enjoyed our stay at Moose Haven. The owners were kind and helpful when we needed them. Loved being in the middle of the woods and the cabin accommodated our large family well. Thanks for being the place where so many wonderful family memories were made.

Loved the house - just didn't realize that while it's only 15 miles from downtown - it's a good 45 minute drive because it's in the Black Hills.

The description of this property is quite accurate - there is a lot of space on three different levels for extended family to gather. We liked that everyone could have their own private spaces, yet have adequate living, dining, and outdoor areas to meet and spend time together. There are many amenities, like kitchen dishes, spices, coffee, laundry facilities, sheets and towels, Be aware that the living, dining and kitchen areas are on the second floor, so everyone who is staying here will need to be able to navigate at least a couple flights of stairs. Also, it is so a long, winding, steep, and gravel road to get there, so older or super compact cars may struggle with this. However, the location, once you get on and off the hills it is on, is central to Rapid City proper, Hill City, Custer, and places north like Spearfish. Communication from the property management company was good, and they were generally accommodating. I recommend this place.

This property has lots of sleeping space and is great for large groups. I wish we had more time at the house but we were on vacation touring the area. The drive to the house is beautiful with lots of wildlife to view.

A little dusty on the decorations and the furniture has seen better days.

House was well setup for multiple families. The upstairs was slightly warmer than the rest of the house but they provided a fan for each room if needed. Beds were comfortable and house was well stocked. Property manager was kind enough to allow us in 1hr early as well. We had no concerns during our stay and really appreciated the minimal cleaning prior to checkout with a long drive ahead. Definitely recommend this property.

This was an amazing cabin in a great location with easy access to all the big name Black Hills must see locations. The cabin was clean and had plenty of space for our group of 14. The staff were courteous and helpful.

A bit more gravel to get to the house than expected, but the cabin was great. Great summer spot. Any snow might put a damper on getting to the property!

Amazing. Perfect. Great time!!!!

We had an incredible stay at Moose Haven!!! Tons of room for 3 families, we each had our own floor. Everything was great and as described. We loved the tucked away location. The house had everything we needed. My only comment/request for next time would be to clear out some room in the closets and kitchen so guests have more storage space for luggage and food. Overall, we were super pleased and will definitely be back.

Plenty of beds, we had 14 and there were extra beds. The kitchen was well equipped, the beds and living room furniture were excellent. The house is well used, the deck is aging, and it takes ten minutes of winding roads to get to the main road, so I thought the price was a little high because of these factors. Except for the rate, it’s a good property!

I had never used VRBO before. The process was very easy Julie was so easy to communicate with and was so very helpful. We enjoyed ourselves and made so many l good memories. The house was big enough to have our own space when needed, yet small enough to bring us all together. Thank you

Our group of 5 couple’s throughly enjoyed this cabin while visiting for the Sturgis Rally. Great location, centrally located to all the tourist attractions. Gravel road was a little hairy on a motorcycle but we were pros by the end of the week! Property manager was excellent in communicating with us.

We had family from all over the country meet and stay here. Everyone loved the location and the size and house amenities. We spent most of the time enjoying the deck! So peaceful. If I needed anything, my questions were promptly answered! We will be back! Oh yeah and do the ATV tour as well! Fun! Thanks for a great vacay!

Great central location, spacious house. Everything you need for a weekend away.

This was a great place to stay. We not enjoyed the seclusion of the place but also the central location. We were able to go in any direction in a short time to get to our destinations of interest. We really liked the free-range cattle on the drive up the mountain to Moose Haven. The kitchen appliances and cookware were very serviceable. The house was extremely comfortable for the eleven people that we had in our group. There was more than enough linens for our group and the washer and dryer came in handy. It was a great week in the Hills. We will be back.

My family and I had a great experience with the Moose Haven Lodge. Plenty of space for the 10 adults and 3 kids. Pretty close to all the major attractions we wanted to see. We loved seeing all the different wild life on the drive. I would definitely recommend this company and this lodge. We look forward to our next visit.

Plenty of room The lower level was very damp. There was an odor of mildew on the lower level. The air conditioning did not cool the third floor. Fortunately evenings were cool and fans could pull in cool air. The cabin is in a beautiful setting. Close to many interesting places in the Black Hills. We loved our stay at Moose Haven, would recommend it to other travelers.

This house was great and we had a wonderful celebration in Black Hills. We rented the wi-fi from Julie as we had college students taking a summer course on-line. It was a struggle and they were forced to go to other locations to get on line to study for the course. Great location although a 15 minute drive to major highway.
