We enjoyed our time at La Preneuse. Maryline made us feel very welcome and made sure we had everything we needed. She also cooked for us a couple of times delicious local dishes. The place is clean and the terrasse relaxing. There is a decent sized supermarket and some restaurants nearby that can be reached on foot. Beach also very close although not huge. I’d recommend to hire a car to explore this part of the island. There is a car rental place also not far which was ok for a couple of days. Yet you can find taxis and bus on the main road. Overall a nice experience.

Perfectly located, spacious and well equipped apartment on the first floor was all we needed. But there are also lovely and helpful hosts, so our 10 day stay was fantastic.

Ce fut un plaisir de passer quelques jours dans l'appartement du bungalow Badamier , avec l'aide des charmants propriétaires , aussi discrets que serviables : cuisine sur demande , sortie bateau pour rencontrer les dauphins ou aller à la pêche, et dans un quartier authentique, à 100 m de la plage ( le sable est doux, l'eau parfaite, pas de vagues ou de courants). Cela donne une bonne vision de la gentillesse des Mauriciens et cela nous sort des grands hotels de luxe avec une plus grande authenticité. Nous recommandons vivement , pour la qualité du contact et l'excellent rapport qualité / prix . Florian

Booking and communication was easy and very prompt and nothing was too much trouble - thanks Joakim! Badamier is a perfect location in La Preneuse. Minutes from a quiet part of the beach and 5-10 mins walk to some fabulous restaurants and the main supermarket so you could survive happily without a car but just using local taxis for day trips. Hosts Jacques and Maryline were just lovely - welcoming and helpful but totally discreet and the laundry service was perfect with our clothes coming back beautifully pressed. There is lots of living space inside and out although the kitchen is small (but well equipped) if you are thinking of cooking every night. The terrace is lovely but watch the mozzies if you are sitting out after dark. Air con in bedrooms was also very welcome. If you are looking for contemporary luxury with all the mod cons this is probably not for you but if you want a slice of real Mauritian life, with lovely hosts and in an ideal spot this is hard to beat. We took away very happy memories and would return in a heartbeat.

Bodde här 10 nätter , rent och snyggt , finns allt man behöver i hushållet. Läget är kanon med bara 30 sekunder till stranden . Familjen som hyr ut är underbara , vi blev bjudna på en julmiddag som va underbar. Boendet rekommenderas varmt . /Fredrik med familj

This was one of the nicest three weeks vacation in a long time, we are already the second time in Mauritius, but since La Preneus is the best because it is central. One is fast in Casela National Park, Pampelmouse and Le Morne one of the most beautiful beaches. Maryline and Jacques were very nice and attentive. They even cooked for us a couple of times, so the food is just fantastic. This was not the last time, we will be back. Greetings from Erhard, Moni, Fritz & Manuela

We spent a wonderfully relaxing 5 days at Bungalow Badamier over the New Year - it is perfect for those in search of a quiet, relaxing holiday. We rented our own car so we'd be able to explore the island during the stay, and had no problem finding the bungalow thanks to the precise instructions provided at booking! No problem with the parking by the house. The location is fantastic - it is a short walk down to a beautiful calm beach and there were never any crowds. The area seems quite residential and family oriented, with several restaurants within walking distance as well as a very handy, and well stocked supermarket. We had several very pleasant sundowners and dinners on the veranda, watching the small geckos have their own dinner! It's a short drive to the beaches of Le Morne or Tamarin, as well as very close to the entrance of the Black River Gorges park. (Which is very handy for an early morning hike! Highly recommended!) The bungalow itself is very comfortable, clean and well appointed. Maryline and Jacques were very kind and attentive hosts, and even invited us to have a celebratory drink with them on New Year's Eve. If you're looking for a comfortable, easy, relaxing and beautifully located self-catering holiday... this is the place!

abbiamo soggiornato in questa casa dal 1gennaio 2015 al 7 gennaio 2015. Ci siamo trovati benissimo, la signora molto gentile e ospitale. Non mancava nulla di tutto quello che c'è indicato nelle caratteristiche. In una sola parola PERFETTO. Speriamo di ritornarci presto. Marianna

Maryline nous a accueilli avec une grande gentillesse et était à notre disposition durant tout notre séjour . La location est très agréable , très propre , fleurie à chaque ménage ! Rien ne manque , le petit déjeuner sur la terrasse avec les sifflements des oiseaux vous donnent le ton pour la journée ! Les plages sont toutes proches et vous laisseront des souvenirs inoubliables . Nous avons passé un très bon séjour au Badamier et recommandons vivement ce bungalow.

Nous avons passé un super séjour au bungalow Badamier. Jacques et Maryline ont été aux petits soins pour nous. Le bungalow était très propre, la literie confortable, et en plus, la plage très proche. A recommander.

We had the great pleasure of staying 8 nights at Bungalow Badamier, La Preneuse. It was the perfect place for relaxing and ideal as a base for touring the wonderful island of Mauritius. Maryline and Jacques were the most wonderful hosts and were on hand to provide local information and advice. They also arranged, at very reasonable cost, a taxi to take us into Port Louis for a day. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, well appointed and very spacious for 4 adults. There was a minor issue with water pressure/temperature in the shower but it was not a major concern for us.

Also diese Unterkunft kann ich nur wärmsten Herzens empfehlen. So sauber und gepflegt habe ich selten eine Unterkunft erlebt. Selbst kaum ein Hotel kommt da nicht mit. Die Vermieter wohnenim Erdgeschoss und sind immer mit Rat und Tat dabei wenn sie gefragt werden. Wieklich ein paar Gehminuten vom Strand und auch von Einkaufsmöglichkeiten entfernt. TOP Wasser ist fliessend... dank dem roten Knopf 😊 Ich habe hier meinen 50. Geburtstag gefeiert und Vermieter wie auch Vermittler haben es mir an nichts fehlen lassen. Meinen herzlichsten Dank nochmal. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder !!!

This was my first time to Mauritius - and for sure it's not my last! It was simply one of the best stays I've ever had! The woman Maryline and her husband Jacques really made me feel welcome at all time! Everything was clean! Maryline came every second day for cleaning and to check if everything was ok. Everything was much more than I could have asked for! She washed and ironed my clothes - This was like a 5+ star hotel! One day I asked her if there was a place where I could taste some real mauritian food. And what she did was that she decided to cook something herself for me. Really delicious food! After eating she offered me a drink downstairs with her husband, daughter and son-in-law. It was so nice talking to the people and getting them to know! So warm and guest-free! As I would love to see some of the local stuff in Mauritius, I asked where I could do this. And immediately her daughter and son-in-law invited me out for a cosy drive to a local market at Quatre Bonnes! I even got to go out with Jaques one morning on his fishing boat. We went to see the Dolphins and fishing afterwards. Finally I got to snorkle a bit at a nice place he found; Black River Aquarium Park. If I had to book all this through a travel agency it would have been quite expensive - But he took me out for free!! I really felt welcome! I also went Skydiving on the east coast! It was mindblowing! Unfortunately I got a bit sick, as I had the crazy instructor, but it was all worth it! When I got back I told Maryline about the experience. I didn't ask for anything but I think she might have felt sorry for me being sick, so she made a nice lunch for me! Not to forget the best thing of the location - The beach! It really just was a 2 mins walk away. And the best thing is that it is not a public beach, so you don't get that much people at the part of the beach where Maryline and Jacque's house is! I am really out of words so nice the stay was! When I am going back I will definitely stay at the same place!

Nous avons passé la deuxième semaine de notre séjour à Maurice au bungalow Badamier. Tout a été parfait du début à la fin : Maryline nous a accueilli chaleureusement avec une boisson fraîche, une corbeille de fruits délicieux et le sourire. Elle a été au petits soins toutes la semaine (ménage fait tous les 2 jours, linge lavé et repassé, des fleurs fraîches dans les vases...). Notre petite Manon (2 ans ) s'est vraiment sentie chez elle, comme nous d'ailleurs... Nous espérons que notre prochain séjour au bungalow Badamier reviendra très vite.

Agefangen beim freundlichen Empfang, über die günstige Lage, die großzügige, saubere und gut ausgestattete Wohnung, den perfekten Service, Marilyns liebevolle Art und die Hilfsbereitschaft der gesamten Familie Shewdeeen bis zur Wehmut, die uns seit unserem Abschied begleitet, hat es uns an nichts gefehlt. Dass diese Insel ein Paradies ist, kann man sicher auf viele Arten erleben, aber wohl nirgends geschieht dies so eindrücklich und nachaltig wie hier. P'tite l'amour...Eine große Empfehlung!!!

We were met with fresh flowers and fruit. Maryline provided good instructions for the location and the workings of the apartment. The bungalow was clean, spacious, with nice linens and one of the best equipped kitchens that we have encountered. The doors and windows open to the tropical breezes and the smells of the flowers and the many plants. The pictures and the descriptions are accurate. The white sand beach is just one block away and a full service grocery store is just a short walk. Next to the grocery store is a great take out counter and a pleasant coffee shop with free WiFi. We ate all our meals on the veranda and I spent many comfortable hours there reading. When Jacques had a free morning with no fishing charter, we chartered with him on his fishing boat, not for fishing, but for a great sightseeing cruise in the lagoon while viewing the dramatic topography of Mauritius. We highly recommend this bungalow for a relaxing stay in Mauritius.

We spent 10 days at Bungalow Badamier and each time we got back from a long journey, we were pleased to "get home" - a home away from home. Badamier is a very pleasant and comfortable cottage. We liked it that each of us could find our favourite spot to relax - read book, do sudoku or watch TV. Maryline went out of her way to make our stay very pleasant. She kept the unit very clean and it was nice to discover a fresh rose in the bedroom and fresh fruit on the kitchen table. We look forward to our next stay at Bungalow Badamier.
