Prima bedden. Lekker uitgebreid ontbijt. De ligging was voor ons perfect. Prachtig uitzicht vanuit de kamer. De locatie is mooi authentiek. Parkeren tegenover het hotel.
De weg was versperd, waardoor we een half uur hebben moeten zoeken om er te komen. Op twee plaatsen vlakbij het hotel is de toegang afgesloten.
De bar was dicht toen we aankwamen om 21.45u terwijl op de website staat vermeld dat deze open is tot 23.00u.
De minibar op de kamer was leeg. De gastheer stuurde ons linea recta naar boven met niks. Volgens hem waren de laatste gasten uit het restaurant aan het vertrekken, hij had blijkbaar geen zin meer in nieuwe gasten.
De kamer was heel saai ingericht, niks aan de muur of wat dan ook. Niet in lijn met de foto's op de website.
Het terras buiten hebben we helaas geen gebruik van kunnen maken, omdat de loungebar al dicht was maar ook vanwege slecht weer. Met beter weer is het vast leuker en als je eerder aankomt.

De ruime kamer in de rustige omgeving van de Leie.
Dat onze kamer aan de andere kant van de weg was in Latem House. Dat wisten we niet. Op zich niet erg dat je voor je ontbijt moet oversteken, maar het was handig geweest als dat erbij gestaan had. Voor sommige mensen maakt dat misschien wel uit...

Nice older Auberge which converted to modern times with added entertainment areas to host also weddings, funerals and other family or corporate events. So it’s efficient and scalable also for bigger events.
The draw back is for the manager to scale staffing to match the needs of guests. Restaurant service during our Sunday dinner was great, but Monday kitchen and waiters were struggling. Not great !

The restaurant was very disappointing. Even though they were on the menu they didn't have the two items we wanted saying that there had been a menu change. The service was off hand. It was expensive. It wasn't worth it. Much better was a local restaurant in Deurle we were recommended by the reception staff

The location of the property was very nice and quiet, for those who love nature. The room was exactly like the one on pictures, no surprises, we got what we booked. Breakfast was also very good. It was a short stay this time, but we will come back for sure.

got there at 8:45pm, no more room service (at 9pm!) and no possibility to eat in the restaurant. after negotiating we had the choice between two types of croquettes. room was clean but the bed sheets were like plastic and low quality

Very nice place for a reasonable price. big parking place.
My room was located on the second floor of the building. the first floor was given over to meetings or company work. The noisy company did not let me sleep. But it wasn't until 9 am, and it wasn't a big problem. I got up late. at the close of breakfast and I almost didn’t get all I wondered .

Room comfortable, breakfast (expensive) and dinner excellent. Location superb for a lovely walk through the pretty village. Some excellent restaurants close by.
The old `auberge de pecheur` feeling now sadly lost (I stayed here over 30 years ago) to a business seminars and corporate meetings atmosphere.
