It was everything we wanted and expected

My family and I enjoyed our stay at this location. It was very comfy and clean. We all felt that we would like to come back again. The view was beautiful.

It is a million dollar view of the river! My grandchildren loved canoeing, and throwing rocks on the shoreline. The jacuzzi is big, and ofcourse had a breathtaking scenic view!!

We had a family gathering at this Vrbo of 7 adults and 5 toddlers. The pictures and property are exactly as shown in the photos. The main deck was wonderful. We gathered all 12 of us there for every meal...a little cozy, but manageable. The weather was perfect and we really enjoyed sitting out on the deck, looking out on the river, and enjoying our time together. There is plenty to do with canoe, kayak, hot tub, fire pit, and just wading in the river. The house was clean with a cottage feel. As mentioned by someone else in comments, it is actually 2 houses with only one bedroom in the main cottage. All the rest in the second (away from the river) cottage. This worked out OK because the grandparents got the master bedroom in the main cottage overlooking the river, which was very nice. The back cottage where most of the bedrooms are is comfortable and clean but more for sleeping. It worked well for us as we could put the kids down for a nap and gather on the main deck. If you have trouble with stairs and hills, this might not be the place for you...lots of stairs and a hillside. We saw pontoon boats and jet skis on the river, but it was crowded, nice for canoeing. We all had a very nice stay and accommodations were comfortable. Recommend.

My family and I had a wonderful time! The view was to die for. The house was very clean and had everything anyone could want. It was well stocked. It had ample space to either spend time together or be on your own if you preferred. I decor was lovely, the beds, comfy and there was plenty of hot water and fluffy towels. It was a great place to spend the holiday weekend!

The house is unusual but very nice. My family was really split into 2 different areas . Luckily my children are adults so not a problem for us but if you have young children probably not the best arrangement. The river is beautiful and the community was nice.

We enjoyed our stay and found this property to be quite comfortable. The view of the river from the main house and the many decks was incredible. The hot tub was great, and the house had everything we needed. Check out was especially easy and the host very accommodating.

Perfect house for our needs. It is actually two separate houses which worked well for us since we had 3 young adults that appreciated their own space! The view is beautiful and the deck and out door area is wonderful. It was really cold during our stay but during the summer the deck would be even more wonderful! We rent a lot of homes and we REALLY appreciated that the checkout list of things to do was short and easy. Nothing worse than paying thousands for a home and having to spend the entire last day doing excessive cleaning when you paid for a cleaning service. This home was as easy as they come and it was great! Thank you Lisa!!

Clean, well kept, stocked with all the necessities. Great location and excellent communication with the owner. The outside space is wonderful and relaxing and we really enjoyed watching all the hummingbirds. We would definitely stay here again.

This was a wonderful little retreat away for an extra long weekend. House is right on the river and the canoe was great, we went paddling every day. Lots of outdoor space to hang out and eat. We had beautiful weather and spent the days and nights on the multileveled deck, in the river, the hot tub and used the fire pit too. Host was very responsive to questions. I highly recommend if you are looking for a place to relax and spend time with family or friends.

We had a great stay at the River House in WV. The neighbors were nice, the view was beautiful, and the covered porches, fire pit, and hot tub made for some great family fun.

The upper deck alone is a perfect reason to stay...the deck flows right into the upstairs home with great access for cooking and eating outdoors. Equipped with a gas fire pit, lighting and fans, and beautiful views, it is a wonderful place to enjoy family. The ramp was accessible and the dock was an easy place to tie up. Very safe area - we had no problems leaving our boat in the water. The small mouth bass and catfish fishing were great. Enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit, beds were all comfortable and clean, and kitchens were very very well stocked. We loved our visit.

We enjoyed the view of the river and relaxed in the hot tub. The main room was a bit small but had a great view and was nice for relaxing. The layout of the house separates bedrooms and living spaces from the main bedroom/living room. the dining table was down stairs in a separate kitchen. My kids didn’t want to stay in the separate area so one slept with me and the other slept on the couch.If you had a larger group there is ample space for sleeping, but not to really hang out all together unless it’s outside.The outdoor space is great if there is good weather.

This place was perfect for a getaway with friends. It was right on the water, and we got a lot of use out of the multiple porches, hot tub, and grill. The neighbors were also super friendly.

Everything was just as described and the pictures are accurate. We stayed during the winter so many of the outdoor activities were limited, but the hot tub was still great! Two kitchens are great for a large group and makes cooking meals very easy. Beds were comfortable and clean!Lisa was very accommodating and quick to reply. Would recommend this stay to any planning a family vacation or friend get together.

The host is very responsive to needs and concerns. The house itself is very nice, but know that the bedrooms are contained in three separate structures. There is one very nice room with views in the upper portion of the house, and the rest are in a lower portion that does not have any views and few windows. All bedrooms are clean, just those in the lower portion definitely don’t have the same atmosphere as the upper house. There are two kitchens, one in each structure, so plenty of room. The house is at the end of a large trailer park, but the destination itself is right on the river, and looking over the river is lovely. You forget the neighborhood once you are in the house. Highly recommend canoeing across the river to Maryland and running/walking on the beautiful trail over there!

This house is exactly as described! There is a lower section with multiple bedrooms and a kitchen, then you access the upper location and decks by going outside, which includes an additional kitchen and 2 lofts. The views are absolutely incredible. The WiFi is lightning fast and the TV’s all have great options for viewing through apps. Thoroughly enjoyed and would definitely recommend!

The house itself was exactly as described in the listing. It's almost a full apartment attached to the larger house with its own kitchen and set-up. The hot tub and the view were a delight. We had a bit of trouble finding the house in the dark (it's surrounded by trailers), but the neighbors pointed us in the right direction and we were set from there. Would definitely recommend!
