Really enjoyed a wine country getaway here. Will definitely stay again.

Such a beautiful property if you are looking to escape and rejuvenate. Close to towns for wine tasting but we really just wanted to relax and take in the beauty!!

What a beautiful spot, right by the Santa Ynez River, set on a huge horse/cattle ranch, but completely private. The house was charmingly decorated in Western style and has a fantastic deck where you can sit listening to the river glide by or enjoy a glass of wine by the outdoor fireplace. We had a wonderful time and would definitely return!

Lovely lodge with great room for a special time with friends celebrating three birthdays. Close to local wine country. Full kitchen with everything we needed.

Our family stayed at the Rio Ynez ranch for little over two weeks in December. Andy was super easy to communicate with and made sure everything was great upon our arrival. This house is easy to settle into and feel right at home. The flow of the floor plan is easy to move around in with plenty of space. Although there was a separate cabin available to us we were only 3 people and did not need to use it. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utinsels and dishware and we cooked many meals in it. Our fur babies absolutely loved the expansive outside area to run and play. We felt confortable allowing our dogs to explore on their own under the safety offered by our watchful eyes. We loved staying here while enjoying the greater Santa Ynez valley. Although we were there during the rainy season, we fully enjoyed having afternoon drinks and snacks on the outside deck, very peaceful and relaxing. As a bonus the property is large enough that we were able to get in long walks without leaving the ranch. It was very peaceful walking down by the river, since it was the wet season the river was flowing nicely. I am sure that we will return sometime in the future.

An old cozy cottage in a beautiful private setting, secluded from the horse ranch. We had a lovely family Thanksgiving there! The views and surround are gorgeous, and the outdoor fireplace and deck seating area were a highlight. We enjoyed hiking around the neighborhood and hiking the local hiking trails, and visiting the beautiful little towns nearby with great restaurants. The beds were really comfortable, and the place worked well for privacy for the 3 couples. I was worried about cooking Thanksgiving dinner in the really old gas oven and range.. but it worked beautifully! There are lots of cooking utensils and pots and pans there and plenty of dishes, cups and cutlery ! The house is rustic.

The whole family went to Santa Inez for a wine tasting getaway and loved the location, privacy, and views. Would highly recommend.

The location is amazing. We spent a large amount of our time and meals on the porch enjoying the fireplace and views. We watched lots of birds and wildlife. The beds were comfortable and we loved all the Pendleton wool blankets. Andrew the owner was very helpful and responsive to our every need. We will be back!

I cannot express enough how much my stay exceeded every one of my expectations. The moment I arrived, it was immediately clear that this place was something truly special—a hidden country secret. The property is stunning. The sweeping views from the house are like something out of a postcard, and the river that runs through the property adds an almost magical touch to the whole experience. Privacy is often hard to come by, but not here. It's the perfect setting for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life. The house itself is both stylish and comfortable, combining modern amenities with rustic charm in the most delightful way. And then there's the owner—responsive, friendly, and clearly committed to ensuring a wonderful guest experience. I almost hesitate to share just how incredible this spot is because I want to keep it all to myself! If you're looking for an idyllic getaway, do yourself a favor and book this place. Just don't tell too many people; I want to make sure it's available for my next escape!

We had a great stay at the property. Very quiet and serene and yet extremely central to everything since it is right by the traffic circle. Kitchen was well stocked, the home was clean, and the scenery was beautiful. This is a rustic stay on a horse ranch, so there were some insects out an about when outside, which is to be expected. I think the only minor inconvenience was a bit of an ant problem inside the home which took some extra diligence prevent in the kitchen.

Property was just like in the pictures. Totally beautiful environment. Comfortable and spacious. Incredibly well appointed for a rental including cooking utensils, pots and pans and a grill. Wish we could have stayed longer. You will want to stay up and watch the stars forever!

We stayed here with our extended family and 2 small children. The property is beautiful and the kids loved walking around, playing on the swing, and seeing the horses. The lodge + the cabin gave us a little extra privacy as well. The rental is incredibly quiet and peaceful, secluded but a short drive to playgrounds and Solvang. Overall we really enjoyed our stay!

This vrbo is exactly what we were looking for. Though it’s only 4 minutes from against Vineyards and 7 minutes from S.Y. Kitchen (we definitely recommend), it’s quiet, serene, and beautiful. We spent each evening out on the deck barbecuing, snacking, and laughing. It’s exactly what our family needed. You will not regret booking this place!

It is in a beautiful location right near the Santa Ynez River but finding the home (the lodge and cottage) is not that easy. The addresses on the street are out of order and if you turn left instead of right at a crucial "landmark" you may NOT be able to find the home given the lack of cell service in the vicinity. The owner or manager needs to provide clear precise directions and well in advance of your arrival. When we arrived there was limited soap in the cottage and there is absolutely no Wi-Fi coverage or cell service in the cottage. Make sure you don't forget anything at this home as the owner/manager is not at all helpful if you do. Of course that is clear in the description ("we are not responsible for anything left at this property"), but nonetheless it is disappointing to hear the manager/owner tell you "I can't help you" and not even offer any hope or assistance.

Great place for family get together! Peaceful with wild life all around. Saw a deer in the morning mist while having my coffee!

Tucked away and secluded - but only 10 minutes from Solvang.

This is the second time we have stayed at Andrews place. Even with wineries calling, it’s hard to leave. We sleep great, the silence is incredible and the beds are comfortable. Coffee on the deck while listening to the birds is how every day should start. We end up getting our wine and to go food, then coming back to the house to enjoy it. Thank you Andrew!

Our stay was fantastic! The property was a great size for our group and had everything we needed. The kitchen was the most well stocked we’ve all ever encountered at a rental property, with everything we needed to make our meals (pots, pans, utensils - you name it). The lodge and cabin had really nice authentic touches of the ranch and were both cozy and comfortable. The property was easy to find with the host’s directions and nicely convenient to Los Olivos, where we spent most of our time. We were especially in love with how clear the night skies were and how many stars we could see. Would highly recommend for a weekend getaway or a longer stay to reconnect with nature and family or friends.

We had a fantastic time at the Ranch. We had 7 people and two small dogs which were easily accommodated by the Lodge and the Cabin. We cooked an excellent mill on the stove and the grill. We made excellent use of the indoor and outdoor fireplaces. We saw a Coyote and a family deer, without leaving the warmth of our rooms. The location is perfect ... it feels completely isolated, rural and remote but you can be at a winery in 5 minutes, a Casino in 8 minutes, in downtown Solvang in 12 minutes, in Buellton or Los Olives in less than 20. I'd be happy to stay here anytime I came to the central coast wine country!

This property is located on a working horse ranch as the listing indicates. It is a beautiful and very peaceful location. We loved the rustic furnishings and comfy beds . Would definitely stay here again!

Great space, loved the step back into the ranch style life again.

We stayed here with our grown kids and their partners, plus two dogs -- and can't imagine a nicer three days. The Lodge and Cabin are isolated, looking out onto a meadow that fronts on the Santa Ynez River, where we swam each afternoon to cool down. Sitting on the porch late at night with tea or wine was the highlight at the end of each day. The kitchen has all the supplies that a foodie might want, so we cooked when we weren't dining at some of the Sta Ynez Valley's incredible restaurants. You're in the heart of great eating, wine tasting, and country life. There are long walks from the Lodge, lots of birdwatching opportunities, and general relaxing. Highly recommended.

Great location and ambiance. We were there during an extreme heat wave so unfortunately didn’t get to enjoy the outdoors as much as we’d like, but loved the big porch once the sun went down. We did encounter an issue with air conditioning in the casita but the owner was responsive and able to source a swamp cooler the next day. We appreciated our stay and the whole property was beautiful.

As advertised. Very quiet and peaceful. Beautiful property with easy access to Santa a Ynez, Solvang, Los Olivia and several wineries. Drive down to ranch is a little treacherous, but worth the effort

What a beautiful ranch property. We had our yearly friend reunion here this year. We spent most our time on the deck, with the weather being so nice, but also wandered down to the river a few times and made it into town to taste some wines, and up the hill for a lunch at Cold Spring Tavern. As others have said, the photos don’t do this place justice. The outdoor fireplace was a lovely spot to sip some wine and the gorgeous living room provided a nice adjacent indoor social space. I was able to sleep in the cabin and what an amazing night sleep. Would highly recommend.

My friends and I stayed at the Rio Ynez ranch this past weekend. We could not stop raving about this property! It was the cutest house and each room was great in its own way! We loved feeling a bit isolated, but still near downtown Santa Ynez for convenience. One thing to note is that it is a bit hard to find the property without the host’s instructions, so if you hire a driver to take you around the wineries, make sure you send them those instructions before you go! There was wifi at the property, but I didn’t have cell service, so I was concerned he wouldn’t find us. Everything worked out, but I would have been less stressed when the driver was 15 minutes late if I had thought ahead more. Would absolutely return to this lovely house, it was 10/10!

This home is nestled in a beautiful valley overlooking a meadow and stream. Idyllic! A rustic vibe and great outdoor fireplace made it a perfect get away spot for our group of friends.

Unbelievable to have complete rural privacy in a stunning natural setting while still being within very short driving distance of terrific restaurants, wineries, hikes, etc.!

Rio Ynez is a truly magical property! The lodge emanates rustic charm and the location can’t be beat — close to town but it feels like you are removed from it all. We ended up staying in and cooked more than we thought we would because the setting is that spectacular. We enjoyed our coffee on the covered porch every morning and loved sitting by the fireplace on the deck each night. The kitchen has everything you need to make a nice meal and we were so pleased with the proximity of El Rancho Market. Another perk was the comfy bedding and mattress. We had a wonderful stay and can’t wait to come back! Thanks Andy!

We had a group of 8 friends who stayed for the weekend. This house (and the guesthouse) is tucked away in a quiet little meadow. It was just as it had stated, clean, comfortable and beautiful. We could not have been more pleased and I look forward to going back!
