The building itself is gorgeous and there's a beautiful garden in front. The room was nice, and the breakfast was great and taken very well care of. The host gave us lots of suggestions on where to go. Also the location is really good. It's quiet, but close enough to the centre to walk.

For me personally, I like to sleep in a darkened room, and the room has beige/yellow curtains, so there's light coming in when the sun rises. Even with a sleeping mask I noticed. But I know I'm being quite specific here. Also, be aware that for breakfast you need to choose a time slot between I think 7:20 and 8:40, so sleeping in isn't really an option if you want breakfast. I guess most people are travelers like us that want to leave early anyways, but if you're not, it's good to know.

Ballifeary Guest House gives me the feeling that it is very warm, and the decoration and furnishings of the house are quite attentive. The owner, Fraser, is very kind and friendly, and we had delicious breakfasts made by him on both days of our stay. The surroundings of the house are also very quiet. After we go out to visit various scenic spots in the daytime, we can get a good rest at night. grateful!

We loved the warm welcome from Fraser and all the local information he provided. The rooms were clean and provided us with everything we needed. the guesthouse was lovely. The breakfast was superb.

it was a very high quality place…well maintained with nice furniture and rooms. The breakfasts were delicious with lots of options and courses. our host was always friendly and available to help. He was extremely helpful in providing advice on walks in the area. it was one of the very few places we have stayed post Covid which cleans the room daily. We recommend it highly.

Fraser, the host, was friendly and a mine of useful information. The location was lovely and quiet. The room was spotless and very comfortable with a fabulous bathroom. Breakfast was delicious with a great choice of cooked food and the service by Fraser was exceptional. A superb stay all round.

As a single traveler with big luggage the bedroom was too small. Otherwise, someone with only a carry-on luggage or backpack would be ok.

This Guest House well exceeded our expectations. We only stayed one night and didn't have breakfast so can not comment on the food. Our room was stylish, clean and comfortable. We will return when next in Inverness!

it’s a beautiful place, the pillows and duvet are like heaven and the shower pressure is amazing. the host also is extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

Our host was exceptional - he was so accommodating and showed genuine interest in us and every guest he encountered - so very refreshing and pleasant

The host was very very friendly. Checking in way too early was no problem at all and he took plenty of time to get acquainted with us and gave us plenty of tips of what to do, where to go, where to eat and what not. Everything was very clean and very tidy, with loads of attention to detail; even the when refilling the small soap bottles they would be placed at the exact same spot where we left them. The breakfast had lots of options, and was always available. We had breakfast 2 out of 3 mornings and it was really good. Some day I’ll get back to Inverness; then I’ll make sure to book a room here again.

If I have to name anything that could be improved it would be placing more darkening curtains, however not everyone would like that.
