Comfortable property in the southeast of Amsterdam, east walk to public transportation and restaurants. Wessel and his family were very friendly and helpful. Beds and pillows were comfy!

We had a lovely time staying at Wessel's place! The rooms were very spacious and comfortable and Wessel was very kind and helpful. He walked us through everything we needed to know and provided many necessities in their bathrooms and kitchen. Their are very steep stairs in the home and Wessel's family kindly brought up all of our large bags for us. Our only complaint is that the twin beds slid around quite a bit, but were comfortable nonetheless! We would certainly stay again.

Beautiful views from the apartment. Easy access to public transportation to enjoy all Amsterdam has to offer. The neighborhood is quiet and family oriented. Local grocery stores are well stocked and the produce is great. The stairs are as steep as advertised, but Wessel graciously brought up the heaviest bag.

I had booked this property with two of my friends as we wanted a two bedroom and two bathroom. The home was very cozy, clean and welcoming. We were also close by to a grocery store, restaurants, shopping and various transportation. Our host was very friendly and checked in on us throughout to ensure our needs were met. The location worked well for us and there were grocery stores and restaurants nearby. Transportation to the sites we chose to see was great. The stairs are steep. They were manageable for us, and the host gladly helped carry our luggage upstairs, but I don’t remember if this was mentioned in the listing.

We rented both bedrooms, each with a bathroom. The rooms were spacious, the beds comfortable, the kitchen area clean and well stocked. The hosts are very attentive & quick to respond to our questions or needs. We were very close to a grocery store, wine shop, cheese shop, numerous restaurants and a tram stop.

Our recent stay on the top floor of a home on the Transvaalkade was perfect. The host, Wessel, has set up a perfect, light-filled apartment with a glorious view over the canal which worked exceptionally well for my husband and I and our adult daughter. The two separate bathrooms, small but well laid out, were very convenient. The kitchen was well equipped and we were very grateful to have facilities to wash and dry our clothes. The beds were comfortable. The neighbourhood was delightful, we especially enjoyed the cafe on the other side of the canal for our evening drinks and also the large range of supermarkets nearby for us to purchase our supplies. Public transport worked brilliantly for all of our day trips including to the Kroller Moller near Apeldoorn, Haarlem and, of course, regular trips into Amsterdam Central, just a few minutes tram ride away. Wessel was kind and helpful and we greatly appreciated that he stayed up late to greet us and talk us through the apartment when we arrived. We hope to return in the near future, this time with our boys.

Fantastic location right on a picturesque canal, with easy access to many restaurants and transportation. The owner was easy to communicate with and welcoming; the flat itself is airy and comfortable, with two bathrooms, and a kitchen that's small but serviceable. We had no issues, and enjoyed our stay.

My daughter is attending college in Amsterdam and we were there as a family to set up her dorm and do some sightseeing. Wessel is very attentive and a great help when we had questions. We loved the house and the neighborhood. Close to so many shops and good restaurants. We would definitely recommend this property to friends and family.

The apartment was in an incredible location near Oosterpark and the rooms each had their own bathroom. My friend and I loved staying here and the hosts were very attentive and kind to our needs! Highly would recommend!

Arrived late in the afternoon, the host and her family lives on the first floor and she met us and took us on a tour of the 3rd floor apartment. She walked us through the security system, the appliances and provided a binder of directions, transit info, restaurants and places to visit. Wonderful, accommodating and great location for outside the the central part of Amsterdam.

while out of the heart of the city, just a quick tram ride away, and the stop is right around the corner. Cute neighborhood, wish we had more time to explore it further.

Wessel & family were wonderful hosts! They even brought our two larger suitcases up & down the stairs for us! We spent 4 nights at their property. It was a great location for using public transit. We were able to easily get to all the places we wished to visit. We highly recommend their property.

We did not want to stay in central Amsterdam but close enough that we would not have to spend too much time on the tram and this location did not disappoint! We appreciated the kitchen and laundry, both had what we needed. Lovely owner which makes staying more comfortable. Thank you

we loved the apartment and the neighborhood. I've visited Amsterdam before but had not been to the oost neighborhood. perfect for my wife (first time visit) and me. great restaurants and groceries, easy access to the city, and a friendly local vibe. the entire vacation was great.

First visit Amsterdam and we fell in love with the city immediately! This property is in a great neighborhood with many choices of restaurants(The Cottage), easy-to-access transportation, and fewer people than central Amsterdam. The apartment has great views, safe, and comfortable, and is very well equipped. Several markets within a block or two. the hosts, Wessel & Helene were very accommodating! Looking forward to a return trip soon.

This flat was as lovely as the pictures showed, and the hosts kindly brought up our luggage, as the stairs are very very narrow (typical for Amsterdam). In the morning the only sounds from outside were bird song and ducks squabbling! We were well provided for in the kitchen, the coffee especially was delicious. Easy tram to the Dam.

In a great location with a view of a very quiet canal with occasional ducks swimming by, this flat is a gem. With two bedrooms each with its own attached bath, a well stocked galley kitchen, and ample space for relaxing, it was close to grocery (and other) shopping and to public transport. The hosts, Wessel and Hélène, were gracious and very kind and helpful. I would gladly stay there again on a future visit.
