it was an excellent size for 4 of us. the location was perfect, lots of bars around and the natural light and abundance of windows was great too on a hot day!

nothing to not like.

Shower knobs were broken and difficult to operate. Carpeting throughout was tattered and dirty. Holes in walls. Bath towels and mat were tattered and old. NO INTERNET CONNECTION. Furniture felt dirty, cigarette burns in the couch. No sheets or bedding for the pullout couch bed. Few kitchen amenities or utensils. Dead plants in pots. Warning to travelers with luggage that this flat is on the third floor with small, winding steps making it very difficult to get luggage into the flat. Overall, the entire flat needs to be updated and cleaned more thoroughly.

convenient location to where we were during the day

The property was very run down and had more of a hostel vibe. I booked two apartments for work Apartment No 1 Although representative of the picture on the site it does not prepare you for the true horrors the lie beneath. The living arear was relatively clean although the dishwasher was broken and the table moved mre than a rocking horse on acid. The main bedroom with on suite was disgusting the bedding clean (dared to not look at the mattress) the sofa bed in the room looked like all manner of bodily fluids all over it with a dirt film over the top (think of a nightclub carpet!) the on suite had broken fixing on the seat, the shower glass was missing and replaced with a very mould shower curtain, the shower head was loose, the window handle was broken and the radiator was hanging off the wall. The main bathroom was in a similar state. the second bedroom was passable Apartment No 2 This was out of the 2 by far the worst, living room had radiator hanging of the wall multiple windows missing handles, the sofa beds looked to have blood and other fluids stains as well as food and mound down the sides, the main bathroom had a mouldy shower curtain and some weird green staining on the shower head and shower head had no bracket

The Appart is gorgeous with a perfect location an incredible view a lot of comfort and space

The bathroom is a bit old

Excellent location, good setup for large families, easy instructions, ok kitchen setup, good value...it would be an 8 except for plumbing issues which are a real deal breaker.

One of the bathrooms started smelling really badly of sewage after one day. We had to keep the door closed and even then we had to sleep for the last nights in the living room because the smell was unbearable even after following instructions to reset the water traps. Drains were clogged when we came into the flat. Water pump activates and makes loud noise making it impossible to use faucet at night.

Communication with June was spot on from the moment we booked until after checkout. Apartment was very spacious and beds/sofa beds were very comfortable. Apartment tired in places but nothing that affected the comfort of our stay. Would definitely recommend the penthouse apartment if travelling for a weekend away with a group of friends.

This apartment is absolutely not acceptable or safe, especially if staying with children. Heart of Shoreditch are rude and very uncooperative and did not adequately help us. They don’t reply to messages. The windows and blinds have no safety mechanisms. Bedroom door can't be closed, if it is closed you'd be locked in. Carpet grippers are fully exposed. Holes in walls. Sofa is covered in stains which look like bodily fluids. The shower only runs for 3 seconds at a time before switching off and the head leaks a significant amount of water. Wicker chair in sitting room has staples sticking out, very unsafe. 40% lights don't work. 100% of pillows are full of lumps. Only one key provided and 3 flights of stairs to climb, no lift.

The location is great and although the property was quite run down inside it was comfortable, large and provided us with most of what we needed.

The rules stipulated are very very strict. We were so worried at the threat of losing £500 we actually hunted down cleaning products and cleaned the apartment after our stay (over and above what you would expect to do when leaving a room). The decor was poor, curtains hanging off the rails, paint marks on the walls, tv didn’t work in one of the rooms and there was a huge gaping hole behind a picture frame!!

The size was great. The location was great. Good price.

Unnecessary strict rules when booking. The facilities didn’t work; neither shower in our one apartment worked for the whole stay, the dishwasher didn’t work and the lights were out in the one apartment when we arrived. This was rectified but the shower and dishwasher was not.

there was quiet a lot of damage to the property which we had to photograph on arrival to ensure our deposit was not impacted.(broken toilet seat, hole in wall in living room, table in kitchen broken ) the en-suite shower had no door/shower curtain so water was flowing out into bathroom/under door to bedroom so we could not use this shower. the wifi was not accessible on the first evening. the property has been serviced before we arrived but the cleaning was minimal .

The apartment is bigger than it looks on the pictures! beds are comfy and clean. Very fast answers by June, host.

Very few things to cook (saucepan, no coffee maker) and many troubles with the shower: no water or no hot water when other apartments used their own showers...

the smell of mold is quite apparent in the apartment, especially in one bathroom. the rooms need an upgrade which can easily be fixed with some paint, curtains, rugs and new shower curtains for example. one showerhead you had to hold in your hand as it wasn’t fixed to the wall which wasn’t ideal.

Code for the front door and keys in a lockbox inside, the details of which were emailed to us very quickly. There was a slight mixup with which keys were in which box but this was sorted out within 10 mins and were were given a late checkout to compensate

Great location, only a 1 minute walk from the overground station. Reasonable soundproofing considering the location, only the odd siren got through. Nice and spacious, great views across Shoreditch.

Window was broken in one room, and couldn't be closed which meant it was cold in there. Water pressure was low for shower. Didn't get the code in time to get in, and host didn't answer their phone, so had to wait half an hour with a screaming baby to be let in. Needs to be a sign or something on the door, or some mention of where the place is, because we had trouble finding it.

Central location, massive space, good quirky design

No one there to check you in, really annoying automated system which sent a message to us saying please check out before we even checked in, Could not connect to WiFi, was not impressed with the third party website used to confirm details and take deposit- more comfortable doing everything on booking.com Had I known before hand I would not have booked

The apartment is spacious and comfortable. Great location with lots of bars and eateries nearby including an excellent Turkish restaurant.

The apartment is on the third floor so be prepared for a climb.
