Perfect location to relax as a family. Weather wasn't cooperating but had a fantastic time heading to Bodega Head to see the ocean swells of 40 feet in downpour. Had "World's best clam chowder", played golf in the window of no rain, and completed a 1,000pcs puzzle. House had throw-back DVD player which our adult kids enjoyed. Would like to go back again in Summer to enjoy the season and maybe some Kayak!

Our 3rd time at Birds Watch and our stay never disappoints. So glad we had 3 wonderful nights!

We enjoyed the view all day long, watching shorebirds feast and fly, seals explore and bald eagles perch after catching their prey. The accommodations were cozy and comfortable. Everything was clean and the directions were clear. We look forward to returning again!

Everything we’d hoped for. Perfect location with amazing views across the bay. Just a note that many of the local eateries were closed or on restricted opening times. It may have been because it was October and so late in the season. We discovered Drakes on our last morning and wished we’d done so sooner as offered a wider range of dishes than most of the local takeaways/restaurants.

Location is perfect. Kayaking right by the home was fun. Walk to stores and restaurants and beach yet total privacy. We wanted for nothing. Loved loved the cleanliness. Be back next year.

This property has a gorgeous view with the ability to see a ton of wildlife!! It was easy to find and parking was a breeze. Well-stocked gourmet kitchen will make any stay enjoyable. I could have spent all day just looking out over the bay.

We enjoyed our stay tremendously! The house was lovely, with lots of windows that offered fantastic views. Everything about the house was as expected and we had no issues. The listing warned about a propane smell, and it was pretty strong for the first 24 hours until we got used to it. We were there in late September and many places were closed during the week (like the coffee shop right across the street) - we had a difficult time finding a place for coffee so we went into the town of Bodega. The local grocery store was very limited in what they carried.

My husband is mobility challenged and we also need separate bedrooms, so I chose Bird Watch because it looked perfect for us with a bed and bath on each level. It was everything we hoped for to celebrate my husband's 94th birthday! Check in with the keypad by the door allowed access to be contact free. We chose to eat dinners out, although the high-end kitchen appliances and abundant utensils made whipping up French toast or scrambled eggs a breeze. We spent most of our days serenely looking out the large windows at the myriad birds on the Bay or reading in the main living area, but there are hiking or kayaking opportunities close by for the more able bodied. A resident sea lion serenaded us daily from the dock at the Ranger station. Several restaurants within short driving distances, and an ice cream shop up the street, kept our tummies happy also. If you're into streaming, Netflix and Amazon Prime are a remote away (with a little patience for the delays). Erika, the owner, was quick to respond to messages away if we needed anything. Birdwatch is a treat for all the senses, and we've already booked again for my husband's 95th.

This was a great weekend! House was perfect with amazing views. Close to places to eat, trails and on the waterfront. We enjoyed most meals on the deck outside.

Extremely well equipped and furnished. Everything needed for a comfortable stay. We prepared most of our meals and appreciated the kitchen appliances, abundance of pots, pans, utensils, dishes, spices and basic staples. The hot tub was enjoyed by all. Nice quiet location off main highway.

Great location we have rented house several times will continue to rent it. House is very clean organized and well supplied

the Bodega Bay property was nearly identical to the photo montage and better. the appliances were great, kitchen had everything equipped beautifully. The hot tub was fun and our weather was 70-72 with cool evenings. the location cannot be better- close to necessities but private and secluded. we will be back.

My husband and 2 teenagers stayed for the weekend. The hot tub, high end kitchen, and view of the bay paralleled with access to Fisheterian and winery made this a great spot. The 1 bed was a little tight for 2 grown kids but they managed it well. We brought our kayaks and did some paddling, it was a nice little getaway!

My dad and I had a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The views were lovely whether we were in the house or enjoying time on the outdoor deck. What a peaceful oasis! We will stay again.

The house is right on the water. The views are amazing. We loved the sounds of the lapping water and calling birds. The kitchen will please the most discerning of chefs. The house was spotless, things are labeled and instructions and directions are accurate and easy to find. There is great hiking within walking distance of the house. More great hikes a short drive away.

We were here for a long weekend getaway just me and my husband. We enjoyed watching all the birds in the Bay. We loved waking up to low tide and slowly watching high tide come in throughout the day. We enjoyed coffee every morning in the hot tub. We came in early spring and the weather was still a bit chilly so we were only able to be outsidein the morning when the winds werent as cold or strong. The kitchen was perfect! We loved the industrial cook top. Everything was clean and all amenities worked great. Our one and only complaint was the smell of the propane when the heat was not on. It was unbearable. We aired out the downstairs bedroom by opening the dooe for a few minutes. Once the heat could kick on the smell would go away. We would definitely stay here again and hope they have fixed that issue by then.

Celebrated our 48th anniversary here. This was the perfect place to relax and enjoy Bodega Bay and surrounding area. House was very clean and comfortable with everything you need. Kitchen is pro all the way. King bed very comfortable. The view is unmatched! You can see the whole bay, a bit of ocean, the harbors and an amazing variety of birds. From the moment you wake the birds provide you a memserizing display of never ending activity. That's woth the price of admission right there! A few sea lions wandered by also. So fun watching the fishing boats come and go. The house is so close to everything seafood there was not time even in 7 days to sample every place and thing we wanted to eat. Local oysters, crab right off the boats, local fish, everything fresh and tasty! Only gripe is there is not enough light in any bathroom for a lady to properly apply makeup. Very dark. Highly recommended and we will be back!

We cannot say enough about how wonderfully both the owner and the local property manager handled things during our stay during the recent “atmospheric cyclone” in Northern California. The first night, 1:29 am, to be exact, all power went out in the entire Bodega Bay area due to fallen trees and branches. The owner and manager gave us directions immediately about emergency supplies and we really appreciated the wall-outlet flashlights that lit up immediately when the power failed, We were able to light the gas stove with matches, so we had tea while we enjoyed the storm. The propane fireplace worked, as well, so we were warm and cozy. The next morning, Erika called to see how we were doing and asked the local rep to bring new flashlights and a butane lighter for the stove, The power was out for 22 hours, but we enjoyed every minute. The rest of the week was rainy, and Erika texted us each day to see how we were doing. Beds were comfy, the kitchen perfectly provisioned and the views both peaceful and spectacular, We shall return for retreats as often as possible,

Our time here was absolutely wonderful!!! It was exactly what we needed! The house is beautiful, and was perfect for my husband and me to meet up with our daughter and son in law for the first time since COVID hit! This is truly a slice of heaven! We will definitely be coming back!!

We really enjoyed our stay in this special home. The views are wonderful. I've stayed in houses at the ocean and there is something special about staying on Bodega Bay. Many different birds swimming in front of you, the tides going in and out, magical sunsets especially with partly cloudy skies. It's so quiet. There are no sounds of loud crashing waves or any other sounds but birds and a distant fog horn at times. It's unique location is away from Highway 1 so there are no noise from cars passing. The house is so comfortable, roomy and cozy. Beautifully decorated with a warm color. The 2 fireplace heaters heats up the house very well upstairs and down. My parents stayed downstairs - they could go up and down the stairs with no problem with the railing and nice rug covering on the steps. Comfortable beds and there are window coverings on every window upstairs and down. The kitchen has everything one would need for gourmet cooking. If you stay, take a look at the front door from inside at night, the light reflects beautiful shadows on the door from the surrounding plants. It's so unique. Thank you for bringing great memories and making our stay so special with this rental!

My wife and I rented this home for a visit with another couple. The views were as advertised, and the house was perfect. It was very comfortable and had everything we needed. And the location was great--lots amazing hiking and sightseeing nearby, and good food too. We would definitely come back again.

My husband and I loved staying at Birdwatch for a relaxing post-Thanksgiving holiday! The house is super clean and everything from the beds to couches to the reclining bay view chairs are really comfortable. The kitchen is fabulous and well stocked, and the showers are lovely with great water pressure. The views from the deck (and windows!) are extraordinary and having access to the bay beach, just a staircase below, is a plus with all the little crabs scuttling under the rocks and birds foraging in low tide. The home is located on a quiet road, in walking distance to coffee and restaurants. There is a hotel across the street but while in the home and relaxing on the deck, it's really quiet, private and secluded. We definitely hope to stay here again!

The home is beautiful. The views are exquisite. Our problem was with the toilets. Too short. They need to be taller for safety reasons. Also, the staircase has small steps down to the Master Bedroom, so if you have any issues with mobility, the downstairs is not for you.
