The property is in wonderful condition and a beautiful location and provides the whole family with the view of nature that we don't often get to see if the mountains and different animals such as turkeys and squirrels and raccoons and is in the perfect location to the attractions in the State Park we had a wonderful time

First I'll start with a little bit about us. I am 43 year old mother and we were coming to Helen for a trip for my mother's 70th birthday. So it was myself my mother my 37-year-old sister her 3-year-old daughter and my 17 year old daughter. So a group of five women and being challenged before we rented a Ford Explorer that was all wheel drive because I'm familiar with the gravel roads. With that being said I will start with the pros of the property. Check-in was very easy and the property manager communicated very well with the code to get in. The cabin is absolutely gorgeous with Gorgeous Mountain Top views and tons of entertaining Games books and ping pong table foosball table and air hockey that was amazing for my 3-year-old niece. The hot tub worked wonders for all of us and was definitely a massive bonus. The place was clean for the most part and had all the dishes and towels and things needed without having to go out and buy a bunch of extra stuff. Now the massive con of this property is it is at the absolute peak of the mountain with a very Steep and dangerous Gravel Road that twists and turns and several hidden spots to where we were almost in a head-on collision with someone coming up the mountain when we were going down. It was very scary and definitely not a safe road at all even if you are a good driver. This made it very unpleasant as most of us didn't even want to leave the cabin to risk driving down after dark. Overall still a great place to stay

This cabin exceeded our expectation and the host were very prompt with responses. We will definitely stay here again when we come.

We truly enjoyed everything about this beautiful cabin. Also, the property owner was very helpful. 5 stars for him too

We loved this place! Hopefully, we can come back in the winter. My 12 yearbold LOVED it there he said more than Pensacola which is major! We were very comfortable and will recommend highly.

Cabin was perfect for our girl's weekend. Nice and quiet, plenty of room for everyone. Beds were super comfortable, plenty of hot water and good water pressure. Very clean, had everything we needed and the hot tub was great. Close to Helen and unicoi adventures.

This is such a gem of a cabin and property and I cannot say enough good things about it! The cabin was exactly has pictured, clean and well-stocked with all the essentials in the kitchen. The beds were comfortable and the view from the kitchen window was perfection. The hot tub worked and was screened in and all the games in the game room worked too. The owners were responsive and so helpful. Would 10/10 stay here again in a heartbeat!

Bear Lodge was the perfect place for our short family vacation! Located at the end of the road at the top of the mountain, you couldn't ask for a better environment if you are looking to be away from the "busyness" of everyday life. Plenty to do at the cabin as well as a great location to get to all of the amenities that Helen has to offer (only a 10 minute trip). Highly recommend!
