We had a great time staying here. The beds were comfy and living accommodation suited a group of friends perfectly. Would also be great for families and couples.

Fantastic correspondence with host. We really enjoyed our stay. Outside shower was great for us and our 4 legged friend! The T shaped table in the kitchen was excellent for the 3 generations of our family of 11! The house was really spread out which gave us all plenty of space. The lounge was great for us all go get together.

We had a great time and the property was perfect for a mixed group of 11 + dog. Great support from the owner throughout too.

I have nothing negative to say. 5 en suite bedrooms + extra downstairs loo, comfy beds, fully-equipped kitchen. Everything you need is here, including a library of almost 1000 books (our 11 year old counted). There’s a climb uphill to the house from the harbour but that applies to most St Ives properties. I’m fitter!! Loved it.

This home was fabulous! We had a group of 12 people staying of all ages and found the rooms/ beds to be absolutely accommodating and comfortable. And having 6 baths was a plus! Beautiful decor and attention to detail including all amenities needed to house a large family. Also very accessible to the town, shops, tours and the beach. Our stay was most memorable and Channing house made it extra special!

Channings is a perfect holiday home providing everything and more. We had a lovely family holiday and didn't want to leave. We will definitely be staying again. The views from the house are breathtaking.

We are a shanty group that stayed for an event in St Ives. We were made welcome even before we ventured to St Ives with great communication with the host and arriving at the venue we were blown away. We hope to book for next year and every year after that we were so impressed with Channings.

We have just enjoyed a wonderful week in the property as a group of 10 family members, kids and adults. The property has everything you need, being really well equipped, and is spacious enough for a large group. The location is great with the added bonus of 3 parking spaces. Our host, Susan, was brilliant, promptly replying to any queries we had. I would definitely recommend this property.

Outstanding. Better than Promised.
Lovely house that beat its very promising listing and photos: more room, space and quality and hospitality than words and pictures in the listing portrayed. Coupled with the magic of Porthminster and St Ives coastline and backed up with fantastic weather we had just a wonderful holiday.

This is a fantastic home for several families to enjoy with great spaces for different ages as well as ample space if everyone wants to come together. A wet week in February
Eleven of us, three generations, had great fun at Channings. It was a wet and stormy week, but we enjoyed short outings, coming back to a warm and comfortable house with plenty of room for all.
The views are outstanding, even from all five bedrooms. The arty touches are fun and interesting, with a great choice of books and games.
I would recommend this house to any family group, at any time of the year.

Facilities we’re easy to operate & worked well- especially the ice dispenser in the American style giant Fridge freezer. Beds were comfortable. Prior to arrival, communication was easy & swift to arrange for access. Plus Susan was very helpful in arranging for bedding to be included for additional sofa bed. Great location, just a short walk from town; with the sandy Porthminster beach the nearest.

Great property for large group - we had two families with 7 children and it suited us perfectly. Within ten minutes by foot of main town and nearest beach. Property was very accessible by car with parking, no battling with St Ives traffic and narrow streets. Amazing views from all rooms.

Family vacation July 2019.
We are a family of 7 that needed at least 4 bedrooms. Channings worked out to be perfect, each bedroom worked well for us as 3 couples and a child, each with en-suite bathroom. The kitchen is large and well equipped. The two large family rooms plus the kitchen allowed us to be together or have our own space.
St Ives has lots of hills, which was not a problem for us at all, the short walk down to the beach or into the town were actually very much part of the experience. We loved the town and the beaches and each of our travels exploring the surrounding area were just a short drive away. Parking and access at Channings is very straight forward avoiding the extreme narrow and hilly roads of St Ives.
We highly recommend Channings and St Ives as an ideal vacation experience.
