Just checked out of this amazing property today for a sisters trip. Endless amount of fun down water slides! Salt water was amazingly soft and the stunning view overlooking the bay and summer nightly fireworks were the icing on the cake! Host couldn’t have been anymore sweet and accommodating. Super fast communication. The house is fully stocked with anything you might need. Very much looking forward to staying at this property again.

This property and April are amazing. This is a beautiful place to relax, enjoy views and still be in great proximity to be being a tourist. Would stay here again.

We greatly enjoyed our stay! This place has everything you need to enjoy a wonderful weekend away. We had a large group (9) and had plenty of room. Honestly, I think the pictures online don't do the rock structure/pool combo enough justice. Two slides, a hot tub, and a spot to overlook the Pacific Beach area. So cool. Ask about the pool house - such a unique space! The only drawback is that it's a bit out of the way so you might want to look into car rentals. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better place to spend the weekend!

We stayed here for the night before and the night of our wedding. House was amazing. Everyone said they felt like they were at Disneyland!! Pool was unbelievable. My kids got to enjoy it the first night and I could barely get them out! April was amazing. Easy to reach and so kind when the boys got a little too loud in the jacuzzi. We will definitely be back!

This property was truly amazing. My family had such a wonderful time. The house is beautiful and the backyard is like having your own private resort. Hours of fun swimming, grilling and playing games out by the pool. Everything you could need is here and would absolutely recommend. Also the location and neighborhood are ideal.

We had the most amazing stay! I am not sure who had more fun playing in the pool the kids or the adults! As with some of the other reviews we chose to stay home one whole day just to enjoy the backyard. This house everything you would need beach toys, chairs all the essential kitchen utensils and appliances. We had the most amazing week at the house! I highly recommend this house to anyone considering it. The owners were fantastic and so wonderful with all their local recommendations. Truly a great getaway!

Great place for large family pool and hot tub were awesome very spacious house clean and close to airport beach and zoo

Obviously the backyard is impressive, but the owners don't rest on their laurels. April checks in to make sure the stay is going well, gets out in front of issues, and is always prompts with replies. The square footage in the house provides ample space to spread out guests. The backyard truly is an oasis, and there are plenty of towels, bedding, glasses, plates, etc...to accommodate your time. The only criticism was perhaps some dog hair found on the pull out in the pool house. Not a deal breaker. Our group needed the space, and the criticism is only mentioned to provide the owners and potential renters a fair review. Would I book the group again for this house? Yes. The entire process was so easy. While the trip was for leisure, stress invaded multiple layers when traveling. Booking, utilizing, and checking out of this Vrbo option, though, was not a part of any of that. All aspects made for a great experience.

Great rental for our family. Large living area with multiple sofas and large dining room table so everyone could hang out together. Pool was a hit with the kids. Slide not for small children. Good location easy to get to attractions. Great communication with owner.

What an amazing place for a great family get-away for 5 adults and 5 kids. Everyone loved the backyard and spent countless hours in the pool and on the slides. We even skipped a day out in order to stay and enjoy the backyard. Perfect multi-family get-away with all we needed!

Family and friends gathered in San Diego for our Grandaughter’s wedding. We looked at many properties, but Casa De Solis pictures of the backyard sealed the deal! It’s a resort!! Feels so relaxing yet exhilarating!! Slides, waterfalls, waterfalls and sparkling pool! It gets better, this beautifully decorated, spacious home is huge. Well stocked, organized kitchen, has everything for entertaining. Outside too! We all loved every minute we were in this beautiful home! The hosts were amazing answering all my silly questions, I wanted everything perfect before the wedding, it was so easy to communicate, and they were so gracious. Our trip will be a very special memory of a dream come true. Sandy Himel

Our family had an amazing time at this rental house. The photos don’t do it justice. We ended up canceling other activities we had planned to do and spending more time in the pool because the kids just wanted to play there all day! The slides are really fast and so much fun. There were lots of water toys and inflatables, plus boogie boards that you can borrow for the beach. The owner was very responsive to any questions we had. We hope to come back some day!

Getting everyone to agree on a house was probably the hardest task.I kept pushing for this house solely because of the pool and boy was this Gramma right!. Hard to get them out!. The location of the home is perfect. Love the fireworks every night. We've rented a lot of homes and this one was the best stocked in every way. The pool house could use a little more ventilation in the sleeping area and some areas of the house could just use a good deep cleaning, but it was nothing that turned us away. I would just lean on the cleaning lady a bit! I would rent this home again. April is a great communicator and came to our aid when a car top carrier needed some duck tape...she was there in a flash to help out. Loved how the lights were on timers outside. We all felt like we were at a resort! Being from Colorado we were amazed by all the different plants in the courtyard. Everything outside is so well cared for. Thanks April

Absolutely gorgeous Mid-Century modern home! The photos don’t do it justice. The neighborhood is beautiful, and the kitchen is incredibly well-stocked. There are stunning views from multiple spots on the property. As stated in other reviews, the outdoor area and pool are incredible. The owner is very communicative and attentive. The weather was cool–highs reaching only the upper 60s–,so we requested that the pool temperature be raised and it made all the difference for the little ones in our group. We had a wonderful time. Close proximity to all of San Diego’s offerings. Don’t hesitate to rent this property!

Very nice and huge pool, slides,waterfalls, hot tub and all heated. Lots of room to stretch out and enjoy inside or outside. Outdoor bar and grill area. We also had extra space with pool living quarters. Excellent hosts!

We loved San Diego, and this house was so cool. Had everything we needed. Pool and outdoor area amazing, comfortable beds. The host was amazing too and made it really special for us!

The house was located in a great neighborhood. The salt water heated pool with slides and hot tub WERE AMAZING! House could use some updating with lighting in the kitchen & the bathrooms. Quite a few light bulbs were burned out & mismatched which was hard at night. Only other complaint was the cleanliness of all the toilets. Would stay here again only for pool.

We had 5 adults and one kiddo and we had a great time! The pool alone was amazing. Great view. All amenities were there, lots of towels, pool toys, kitchen gadgets, and more. The owner was helpful with good communication.

Ages in our group of 8 people ranged from 4 to 72 years old, and we all had a wonderful time! April and Michael wanted to make sure that we enjoyed our stay and were very responsive to a few questions/requests that came up while we were there. The pool was an obvious highlight (it was even more impressive in person than in the pictures!), but it is worth noting a few things: (1) The water slides are not for the faint of heart. They were fast! (2) The pool is kept at 80 F, which did not feel warm enough to the adults in our party given the unseasonably cool weather we had while in town (the kids didn't seem to mind). A quick request was all it took to have it heated to 85 F, which made a huge difference. The owners were upfront about the additional cost ($50/day) given the high cost of energy in San Diego. The house was centrally located for multiple attractions (15 min to the zoo, 35 min to safari park, 35 min to Legoland, 10 min to La Jolla), which made it a perfect home base for exploring when we could convince the kids to leave the pool. Overall, we were very happy with our stay!

We were a three generation family of 8,m including four children 6 and under. This home was perfect for a large family. The 6 and 4 year olds...and their dad...loved the two waterslides and all of us loved the hot tub. Everything "works" in this home and that is very important on a vacation. It was very well equipped, has a great barbecue and the location was perfect...close to the SD Airport, Sea World, Balboa Park and downtown. A great place for a fun family vacation.

We had a wonderful time at this property. It was 7 adults and 5 children and we spent 5 days with rental of the pool house there was enough space for everyone. April was super responsive and accommodating, could not have asked for a better host. It’s a great location to get to any place in San Diego quickly and she gave good advice for places to go. The beds are cozy. The house is clean my daughters would have lived in the pool if I let them.

Fabulous house with amazing pools, hot tub and slides and amazing views of the downtown and ocean. Location was great and easy to get to, communication was good, and check in and check out process was very easy.

Wonderful experience! April was the greatest host! She set up the Christmas tree and decorated the house. She was just a phone call away and very responsive! Thank you April! The house was great, the outside amazing. The kids were in heaven and the adults also loved it. Had all amenities. We wished it had an outdoor fire feature. This was a trip we will always remember!

This property was beautiful and was like our own private waterpark. The family thoroughly enjoyed the pool, waterslides, hot tubs, backyard and views. The owner was very responsive, and the binder which provided instructions and recommendations was super helpful. The location was in a quite and nice neighborhood, near several great family activities that we enjoyed; pacific beach, the zoo, USS Midway, and sea world are all not far away. We had a great view of San Diego/Pacific Beach and even saw fireworks on the first night. The bedding and towels were fully stocked, and it was quite comfortable. There were just a few minor things that could be improved. The coffee pot and coffee maker didn't match and therefore, we had to cram something in to make it drip. The dishwasher pods were limited to only a few, and we did run out of toilet paper on our last day. I understand wanting to conserve resources and I am fully for this; however, we paid a lot of money for this property, and we expected a fully stocked house for the price. I have never stayed at a VRBO where we would be expected to buy our own toilet paper or dishwasher pods. I would also request that the owner's make it more clear in the description that the pool house is not included in the price. While I understand we only had seven people and enough sleeping spaces in the house, it was not until I arrived and spoke to the owner that I realized that it was only available for an added rate. I did go back to the listing, and I can see that they do state this at the bottom of the description. However, the Rooms & Beds do in fact show Bedroom number 5 and Bathroom number 4, which is the pool house and not included in the main listing price. In my opinion, if that is not accessible it should not be listed on the listing or it should be crystal clear that it is an extra cost. Overall, though, we had an amazing time, and the family got some great quality time and fun together. I would recommend this property to others.

We stayed at this house for our sons graduation from Marine bootcamp! It was hands down the best VRBO house we have been too. The house is perfect, the location is beautiful, and the backyard is paradise! Swimming in that pool with the water slides was a favorite of everyone. The hot tub was perfection and the views were breathtaking. The response from the owners was awesome. We had a problem with some lights and they were at the house with in 15 or so minutes and fixed them. Super nice and very responsive:) The location is great because it’s just far enough away from the city but close enough that you are there in no time. It’s about 15 minutes from MCRD and 20 from downtown. If we find ourselves back in San Diego we won’t hesitate on staying here again!!
