We had a wonderful vacation. The place was quiet. I enjoyed stepping out of the back patio and walking on the beach. Definitely a family place. It was nice to be able to cook in the kitchen and do our laundry when needed. We were also 5 minutes from the Gulfarium.

The condo was clean and provides lots a amenities. Property manager responded quickly to any questions we had. We will absolutely be back.

We really enjoyed our stay here. I loved the access to the beach and no stairs to climb.

Nice, peaceful, beautiful place on the beach.

The positives: First of all, we loved the location of this condo. Super easy to access beach and pack stuff to and from. No shoes required just a few steps to the boardwalk. Easy with kiddos to travel back and forth for lunch or if we forgot something. Also, the beach service was excellent with providing two chairs and an umbrella and the guys were super nice. The beach was not crowded since the condominium is only three stories and it was family friendly. Parking was easy to get to, steps from the door. The water and the sands was beautiful! The condo was fully stocked with lots of towels, rags, dishes and everything we needed! The negatives: When we arrived the whole condo smelled like rotten seafood/curry. It took us a while to figure out that it was coming from garbage disposal. We had to go to the store buy bleach and garbage disposal cleaner to try to get the smell out. It was awful. It got the smell out somewhat. The wifi never worked and the coffee pot leaked when you poured it.

We've stayed at the Island Sands condos several times during the past 12 years. This is our 2nd year on the 1st level and it was nice not climbing the stairs at our age. Miss the balcony view of the gulf, but the convenience of 1st floor access to parking and beach compensated for the loss of view. Condo was clean, except for a few dishes and cups. Kimberly and her staff were great and very attentive to any concerns or needs. We're coming back next year.

Location is great, condo was clean. We had a few issues with the kitchen & the property manager was in contact quickly & brought new items within an hour of speaking with her.

1st floor right by the boardwalk was very nice. Small complex so getting chair and umbrella on beach was easy. Place was very clean and just as shown in the pictures.

The property was really close to the beach which was the best thing about this place. Not very far from Destin at all…so gorgeous beach minus the Destin traffic. No major issues that needs to be addressed.

Location is fabulous especially with a 4 year old! Cleaning could improve. Beach was beautiful & close. I was sad not to see the beach every morning but happy to to have to struggle to bring in groceries. Restaurants are very convenient to this location. Overall great stay.

Family friendly condo. Perfectly located between the beach and the pool. We absolutely loved that we could walk right off the beach and straight into our condo from the back door.

The property had everything we needed and the communication with the property manager was constant. Would love to stay here again.

Perfect for families. The condo is not busy and it’s right in front of the beach. With an active 7 year old, being on the ground level was a plus. The only things to note: they do not have additional beach chairs, sand toys, and the pull out voice facing the TV could probably use a new mattress. Overall, would definitely return.

Unit 103 in Island Sands is a beautiful newly renovated waterfront condo steps to the boardwalk over the dunes. All the amenities you would ever need for a beach getaway. Umbrellas and chairs set up daily by a very friendly beach attendant allow you to enjoy the beach without having to bring your own chairs. Convenient to restaurants, shopping, activities and grocery.

We came down as a family for my daughter's cheer competition. The condo was lovely and very clean. Everything was as expected. Even though we didn't have a view of the ocean because we were on the first floor, the short walk to the boardwalk and beach made up for it. It was very convenient. Our only complaints were the wifi being spotty at times and the shower water pressure being poor. Overall we enjoyed our stay and we were very comfortable the entire trip.

Definitely booking again

Such a great location, could not be closer to the beach. You walk out the back door and over a short boardwalk, and there it is. The chair service was excellent. With two small kids, it's really liberating to just waltz up to the beach and grab a chair without having to truck it all in yourself. The condo itself was well maintained and clean. Bed was comfortable. The pull out couch would be terrible for an adult to sleep on, but for our 4 year old it was fine. Kitchen had all necessary cooking utensils/pans/etc. Check in was very smooth, we were able to enter earlier than stated check in time. Only complaint is that the locks on the sliding back doors seem to need replacement. I couldn't get them to lock at all, had to put the wooden dowels down and walk around the front if we wanted to secure place while we were out at the beach. Not a dealbreaker though and probably an easy fix. Will definitely be back!

Very comfortable, single king bedroom condo just steps from the powdery white sand and turquoise gulf water. We loved the abundance of toiletries, kitchen supplies, and beach towels. The complimentary beach service was an added convenience. We would definitely come back!

Enjoyed our stay very much. Accommodations were comfortable, and well provided for. Access to the beach couldn't have been easier! Sunrise and sunset walks were both spectacular & soothing. We look forward to returning!

Easy online booking; responsive management. Location was only minutes to businesses we needed. Property was as advertised. Clean, well-furnished. Great to have a full kitchen for easy meal prep. SO much better than a hotel stay! Patio was great for relaxing and eating outside, and is just steps to the beach walkway. Our November visit meant few people on the soft sands at the water's edge. Our first late afternoon, we were greeted by a Blue Heron, and a "fever" of rays swimming and jumping out of the water close to the beach! Weather was cool and comfortable. Sunsets were wonderful, and relaxing on the beach at night under the full moon was magical.

We love staying at Island Sands! This condo had everything we needed! We plan to come back!

We had a great time! A few steps to the beach, kids loved the pool, short drive to plenty of restaurants and attractions. The condo was just the right size for our family of 4, clean, and well stocked with essentials.
