This property is as advertised. Beautiful sunset views. Plenty of space for our extended family of 13. Owner was easy to work with and communicated well. We made some great memories. Highly recommend.

I wish that I owned a house like this! I would spend every available moment watching the water or cruising around the lake in the pontoon boat. The house was immaculate when we arrived. Everything was exactly as the listing showed. We had a great week at the lake house with our family. We may be back again!

The property manager was friendly & responsive. The house was clean & accommodating for our large family with kids & babies. We especially loved how peaceful the lake was.

Until I seen the cottage on Ackerson Lake. This lake cottage ended up being exactly what we needed. The place was just as it looked, homey and spaceous. The water access was easy and parking was simple. The neighbors were kind and helpful. Even the weather cooperated for us! This place was just as advertised, and better . Fun and peaceful all at the same time. My 4 teenagers loved it as well as my mom,dad aunt who visited. The caretaker was next door were very welcoming and helpful. Owner was very gracious and pleasant as well. This property is a true diamond. The people involved with it make it that way.

The cottage was pristine when we arrived and Dave made every effort to make us feel as if we owned the cottage ourselves for the week. Every detail listed in the description was fulfilled and more. There were some comments from previous renters that the pontoon boat was in rough shape. It was, which Dave acknowledged when we arrived, but as an add-on to our rental (at no additional fee) it was a huge benefit for our stay. The pontoon ran great and our family had a great time taking rides. As a long-time renter of cottage properties this exceeded my expectations by far.

This was the perfect summer getaway for our family! Dave was super nice and easy to work with. The home was the cutest cottage that was recently updated. Plenty of room and fully stocked with everything you could need. We enjoyed swimming and fishing off the dock and the boat. Lake was super clean and warm which was a nice change from our trips to Lake Michigan where it can be cold at times! We will definitely be back!

Found plenty to do when the rain came some even went swimming in the rain. The cottage had plenty of room to do things other than fish and swim. Neighbors where very helpful and pleasant

We had a great time at this house. Two picnic tables, fire pit for s’mores, music, and stories. Plenty of space at the dinning room table for a group of 6-8 to play some cards late in the evening (or was it early in the morning?). The small town of Brooklyn had some great shops to visit and the Cascade Falls are pretty neat to see (the cool light show started at 10pm the night we visited). Also there is a very nice putt putt golf course in Jackson. The boat is a little rough, but more than perfect for the price we paid. The ceilings in the kitchen, dinning room, living room are low so I would not recommend this house for anyone over 6’4”, but since our group maxed out at 6’3” it was perfect!

We had a wonderful week on this small, quiet lake. It was great for the 7 young kids that were all just starting to try water activities. Lake was clear and sandy bottom, some weeds as you get further out, but perfect for swimming all day...which we did! Owners were wonderful to work with and quick to respond, always friendly. A few issues with the boat, but no major mishaps. Neighbors were friendly and helpful as well. Fantastic trip.

We had a couple of families last week and a fun time was had by all. Dave and Matt were very accommodating.

The cottage was a great place for our family group of 12. It was really clean, the neighbors were friendly and so helpful, the owner answered my question quickly. We enjoyed the pontoon boat and the paddle boat. The kids enjoyed fishing off of the dock and paddle boat. A great vacation. We hope to return next year. Thanks

We really enjoyed our stay. The home had speckled counter tops and older furniture and decor-making it feel cozy and comfortable like visiting grandmas house. 5 bedrooms was unheard of for us, the kids were excited to have their own room! The use of the pontoon boat was a super fun bonus that we thoroughly enjoyed each day. The lake is small, manageable, shallow, and warm-perfect for us. The house is well equipped with anything you might need and the owners were the most responsive, friendly, and on the ball of any VRBO rental we’ve had. Thumbs up!
