This is a large space which is close to town. It needs a few updates to become a high end property. The biggest issue was the main road directly in front of the property which made relaxing on the balcony impossible and getting a cross breeze too noisy. It’s a great space in a loud location.

The apartment was nice and clean. We were able to spread out and enjoy the space. The living room gets lots of sun and has a nice area where you can stretch and do yoga. We also enjoy the deck overlooking Mendocino and the location overall. Much better experience than staying at an Inn.

Excellent location, good view, comfy bed and couch; and clean!

This suite had all we needed and was well-located for walking in to town for meals or a stroll down to the beach or along the headlands. Very responsive to inquiries.

Great location -- we enjoyed being able to walk and ride bikes to Mendocino's amazing coastal areas. Inside: we liked having room to relax in the kitchen and living room and the views are wonderful! We had enough space to have our friends - who were staying at a nearby place - come by for a glass of wine. Nice short walk to town too. Great dinner at Trillium and excellent bakeries in town - Cafe Beaujolais - yum!

This was our second visit to Mendocino View West, a top shelf accommodation: Tidy, clean, well equipped with a great view. On the trivial side: Two sinks in the bathroom lessens the stress for two type As. We will be back.

Great, quiet location. Easy walk to town. Comfortable beds and pillows. Highly recommend. We would be happy to stay there again.

Loved the fireplace, the jacuzzi for two, windows and light everywhere, view of the village and water, felt a part of the village while at the same time felt apart a bit, cute cats wondered by, and an abundance of daily walk options.

Everything was as described. Great ocean views, lots of light and fresh air (when desired) inside. Within easy walking distance of downtown and the headlands. We felt appreciated and welcomed with a complementary bottle of wine AND a Happy Anniversary card! Great sized kitchen with all the necessities. Great shower, tub and deck for two. I highly recommend this location.

Great location , very comfortable and amazing views.

Spent a long weekend in Mendocino. The house was a short walk to central Mendocino and a little longer walk to the Headlands. Everything was nice and comfortable. Really enjoyed the hot tub. Checking in and out was super easy. Only complaint was a lack of a baking sheet in the kitchen, but we were able to improvise.

This was a wonderful place. The balcony was lovely, with great views. It is a full apartment with an entire kitchen. We loved every moment of our stay!

The property was clean, spacious and well equipped. Great views of the town and ocean from the bedroom, bath tub and living room. The outdoor deck is small but a nice place to relax in the afternoon sun although there is some road noise. I would agree with previous reviewers that the couch is uncomfortable. If the owners could change this, it would be a dream rental.

Very nice property with a beautiful romantic tub for two. The balcony is great and the place is well maintained and clean. It is on the main entrance road to the town though which wasn’t as clear as it could have been in the listing. Not a horrible thing but I thought it was closer to the ocean and farther away from route 1.

The place was nice and we enjoyed our stay but there are some issues. Little Lake Road is a main thoroughfare and makes for a lot of road traffic noise. Most of the time we did not want to open the double doors out to the deck because of the noise. The sofa and easy chair in the seating area are really uncomfortable to sit on for any length of time. It was warm during our stay and the bedroom stayed hot and stuffy at night even with the windows open. Last but not least the miniblind in the bedroom fell down but my husband was able to replace it with a knife.

Peaceful getaway with beautiful deck, spa for two and comfy bed. Property owners are so nice and super responsive. Would love to stay again.

Great balcony, gorgeous inside, incredibly close to downtown.

The place was awesome!!!! So comfy - the bed was great - the bathroom luxurious! We love to cook and the kitchen had every cooking utensil we could have asked for although - just a FYI - there were no condiments- not even salt and pepper. Anyway - we had a magnificent time and Hank is so nice dealing with questions etc - on the drive home we both said we can’t wait to go back!!!! ❤️❤️

Our stay was completely problem-free at the View West unit. Parking was a snap, the few stairs easily navigable, and the unit extremely nice and spa-like. The double shower was lovely. The morning muffins delivery was sweet. Everything required in the kitchen. The sofa bed was fine, the bedroom bed super comfy. We felt well taken care of, and enjoyed Mendocino immensely. The Cafe Beaujolais was divine and a short walk. We enjoyed the botanical gardens, and the many walking trails about the shore. Also, a lovely canoe trip up the Big River (Catch a Canoe...) in a redwood outrigger canoe revealed a cormorant breeding colony, river otter, and mergansers.

We had a fantastic one night stay here. We’ll definitely be back again!

Excellent experience. There was a somewhat acrid smell, perhaps from the septic, but otherwise we were very impressed
