Patrick and his entire family has been so welcoming and so communicative up until the day of arrival. I've never had a host be this positive and who provided with excellent communication and care throughout the days leading up to it and up until the end. We had planned our stay for months, but we could have never predicted it was when the Tamarack fires hit. Patrick and I communicated back and forth regarding this and he was so accommodating. The cabin was super clean and had all the necessary amenities - I didn't even have to think to myself, "Aww, I should've brought that". The bunk bed/game room was perfect for our kids and the adults enjoyed the big screen downstairs for watching the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. The high ceilings made the huge cabin feel more roomy and there was a space for everyone if people felt like they were spending too much time together and need a break, hehe. (Like a break from the kids). The back deck facing the green golf course while the kids played horseshoe was so picturesque in the evening time. I'd love to stay here again soon. We made so many memories here and can't wait to plan another trip in the distant future.

Right next to the golf course and the neighborhood was quiet. There was a small issue that was IMMEDIATELY addressed and fixed. The house was awesome and the kids loved it. This isn’t 12 people crammed into a small space. Plenty of room for everyone to move around.

Location is a bit north of Tahoe so it would take 45-55 min drive to visit the main Tahoe attractions but we didn't mind. Patrick was an AMAZING host! We communicated frequently and he was great every time. We absolutely loved the house and we got comfortable right away. Our kids forgot their laptop charger and he was nice enough to ship it back to us. I do wish the house had been a bit cleaner due to all this covid stuff, we wiped down surfaces and floors upon arrival (but my sister's also a clean freak). Other than that it was wonderful!

January: arrived just after after it had snowed. Roads and drive way was clear on arrival. Garage fit our two cars, negating the need to clean the cars off in the morning. Clean, spacious, well laid out property. Warm, good linens, easy to keep clean. Kitchen well stocked with range of pots, pans and dishes. Easy commumication with property manager. Kids room was excellent and vary spacious. Location was perfect for snow play as it is on a golf course, resulting in a lovely surface to collect lots of fresh, clean snow! We snow shoed round the fresh snow, made an igloo, snow man, snow angels and small sledg run all out the back of the house. A wonderful stay.

Great house for three couples and kids. Location was very convenient for our activities. Easy hikes for families in Donner State Park and Summit Lake. Swimming in Donner Lake and Lake Tahoe. Went to music fest on the beach at Tahoe City. Loved the beach at King's Beach where we rented an SUP and kayak and water tricycle. Even saw some mule deer at the house. Cooking at the house was facilitated with a great gas grill on the deck and a large variety of cooking stuff in the kitchen.

The open floorplan and location on the golf course contribute to making the property especially pleasant for our extended family. The owners are gracious, helpful and accommodating. This was our second stay at the house; we highly recommend it to other families.

what a great setup for family with kids! the house was clean and, more importantly, uncluttered. the upstairs play area with bunk beds was great for the kids. the kitchen was well stocked too! we had a blast and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!

We loved the home and location for our winter family vacation. Close to Squaw, Alpine and several other skiing resorts. Lots of good restaurants nearby, grocery store, and other stores. Amenities were nice including nice large backyard for kids to play in the snow. Loved the large room upstairs for the kids. They loved to hang out in there and we loved hanging out down stairs. Large kitchen area with lots of utensils and cookware.

I cant say enough good things about the Sweeney family - they were so thorough and attentive to all of my inquiries. Their home is spacious - the perfect size for two families with multiple little ones. A very short 12 minute drive to the beach made it the perfect location for us. We will be back.

Very roomy home with all the amenities. Can easily sleep 2 or 3 families. Owner has guest membership to Tahoe Donner facilities including pools, lake access, golf, horse back, skiing, etc. Conveniently located near Truckee.

This home was incredibly comfortable and fit our whole family! We felt like we were in another world, as peaceful as it was. All the beds were comfortable and everything was very well described by the owner. I could not ask for a better home to stay in and hope to be able to stay there again! We had all the information needed to explore Truckee and the surrounding area. Donner Lake is so close by and perfect for a day at the lake or a leisurely hike. There is also a Natural Food store close by for anyone that has special dietary needs. There is truly something for everyone!

The house is beautifully appointed inside with all the comforts of home. With a cozy gas fireplace, WiFi, cable TVs, Nintedo Wii, and sleds under the deck we enjoyed it so much we wanted to stay indefinitely. You can sled out back on the adjoining golf course or drive a few minutes and be on the slopes. The owners communicate well and are really thoughtful. We plan to go back soon!

You don't need to go to boreal to play snow tubing, so I save money . Kids having fun playing the snow and snow tubing . My daughter and her cousins love it because they can play all they want. House is big and everything you need is there. Room for kids is huge. My family wants to go back next year.

Plenty of room for 10 people. It’s so relax to look outside the living room window into the woods, even though it was all snowed in. By far the best house I stayed in. Highly recommend it. The owner responds to your messages really fast.

The home was great and spacious for our two families and grandparents. It was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The kids loved the room with two bunk beds and an entertainment area. The space in back of the house was great for playing in the snow also.

We all appreciated the location & easy access to recreation of all types. We swam & worked out at the Tahoe Donner Recreation center and at Donner Lake, visited Tahoe, hiked, biked, cooked and just had a great time. The house is nicely furnished and decorated throughout and the beds are comfy! The kitchen is roomy and well supplied. The kids loved the bunk room, the loft, & the deck in particular. Thank you to our gracious hosts!
