The common area of the kitchen, dining and living room is nice (a fourth stool for the kitchen island would have been great). Enjoyed the hot tub very much also. The house in general is dated but adequate. The negatives are mostly about cleanliness and clutter. The carpeting in the upstairs bathroom smells like pee and at least needs shampooing as does the carpets in the bedrooms… dirty and dingy. Old raspberries and dried cheese were obvious under the refrigerator crisper when we first opened it and the whole thing could use a good cleaning. The exterior is literally a dump with useless debris everywhere. Cigarette butts on the ground all around the fire pit which had stacked cinder blocks for seating. A dump run would make a huge difference. This property simply needs some attention. The neighborhood is nice and quiet and beach access terrific a block away. Also enjoyed the option for a late check-out.

Yes, it has a hot tub, and the kitchen is beautiful. The rest of the house goes from bad to worse. There is a distinct feel of a home that hasn't been updated in 50 years. The entire lower floor is downright creepy feeling, as well as being cold, damp, and musty. We immediately requested a different rental from Vacasa. We were told that our situation had been escalated to the highest priority and that we would hear back in minutes. After waiting an hour for any resolution, we decided to take our chances with a refund and just booked somewhere else. I would not stay in this house for free. Ultimately we did receive a partial refund, but the fact that we were still charged for cleaning and booking fees is ironic, given the state of the house and the fact that Vacasa clearly has quite low standards when it comes to screening their rentals.

We love this house it’s the second time we’ve been there and loved it both times.. we love the easy access to the beach we found a hind hiking trail.. the hot tube is fabulous after a breezy day on the beach.. the remodel look fabulous.. the only thing is I wish they stock it more we are a clean family and needed more trash bags and soap.. 😉🌅

We had a blast on the coast. This house is in a great location a block from the best access point to beach. You can see the ocean from the deck/kitchen, which is cool. Interrupted views. Like most Vacasa homes in Cape Meares, the house was pretty shabby but the kitchen was functional for group cooking. Needs a grill. Hot tub was nice. Front carport area is a little muddy. Ground floor living room has a lot of mold growing behind the television and smells musty. We wouldn’t stay here again but it was comfortable enough for a fun week on the coast.

The upper kitchen/family area is spacious with great views of the ocean. The location is just a quick walk to the beach.

Overall it was a great location. Super easy beach access. But there is hardly any service even with Wi-Fi. The tv wouldn’t connect to anything (Netflix, Hulu, ect) and none of the dvd/vhs players worked. So bring something to do in the evening. The house was clean and nice. Good view of the ocean and hearing the waves all day and night was fantastic.

Lots of space. Would be easy for two families to enjoy with a separate lower level. Great proximity to beach access and nice deck. Furnished with appropriate accessories and furniture for the needs of the space. Updated open upper level kitchen. Would stay again.

Nice location. Easy check in and out. We come to Cape Meares many times a year and we’ve stayed in this house a handful of times. unfortunately it’s not our first choice. It needs some tlc. There’s been some upgrades to the kitchen, but the bedrooms, beds, bathroom and the entire downtstairs needs to be fixed up + the linens could be replaced. Carpet in the bathroom and bedrooms upstairs smells like mildew and I hate to say it, urine. We don’t use the downstairs when stay in this house, which is unfortunate because it’s a three bedroom and it’s not cheap. With a few small upgrades this place would be awesome!

The house is large and the upstairs is updated. The upstairs rooms were nice. But the downstairs bedroom was extremely cold at night (during July), no space heater and the light switch is on the other side of the room. Not by the door. There was an outlet behind the head of the bed that my plug kept falling out of. No hangers in the closet for my clothes.

The property is in very good location. Very quiet and relaxing and a short few minutes walk to the beach. I think the beach is enclosed by the cliffs on both sides so it was the least amount of wind I had ever experienced on the beach in Oregon. The house has been updated partially and the kitchen is amazing with the amazing view of the ocean. The bed was very comfortable in the master bedroom. I always need a chiropractor after staying somewhere but I feel rested now even though my 1 year old did not sleep very well. The hot tub was amazing and very clean. There are some updates that still needed in the house. Mainly downstairs would be good to make it more homey. A king size bed would be awesome there. Upstairs I was not crazy about flooring in the bathroom especially in a rental. Overall we loved our stay and if possible would love to come back next year!

This was a great property for out family of 6 to stay near the beach and have a great vacation. The internet was a bit slow, but the setting was great.

Our stay at this beach house was great and we would love to stay again and longer! We enjoyed the hot tub it was amazing! Also the view of the beach from the house, the walk to the beach is very close. Recommended for others!

The fully fenced wraparound porch was wonderful to have as we could just let our dog wander around and find patches of sun without having to worry that she would get out. The house was clean as was the hot tub. As others have mentioned, everything except for the kitchen is older/dated but understandable at the house's price point and we didn't mind that much as it was nice to find an affordable house with that type of location and hot tub. There was a slight maintenance issue that had to be taken care of while we were there but they were very prompt in addressing it and provided great customer service.

We enjoyed our stay, found the house comfortable and clean. It's a bit quirky/outdated, but my family didn't mind and really enjoyed the hot tub, the deck with amazing views, the large open kitchen, and most of all the wonderful location at one of our favorite Oregon beaches!

We have stayed in the house a total of 2 times now. We chose to stay here again as we really enjoyed the location and the house met our needs. However I was really disappointed in the cleanliness of the house this stay. I know that the home is animal friendly but I expect at least the extra fees bring your pets would go to the extra cleaning needed in the home. I am sad to say that was not the case. The table was covered in animal hair, there was hair on the couch and under the couch. It does not take much to move a couch on hardwood floor and mop under it. The dishwasher was full of dirty dishes and every dish we got out of the cupboard needed cleaning before we could use it. The fridge also was dirty and the griddle on the stove had burn food on it that needed cleaning before we could use it. We received a text message survey about the cleanliness of the home on the first day and I responded to multiple replies for pictures and descriptions but no one reached out to us to remedy the issues. We chose to stay here again mainly because of the location and that the home had a hot tub which was an amenity that we wanted. We got there the first day and the hot tub would not heat up to temp. We called the next morning and asked for it to be fixed and was assured it would be. We left for the day and when we returned 8 hours later no one had been there to fix the hot tub. When we called VACASA they had no record of our previous phone call. We ended up fixing the hot tub ourselves so that we could use it. We received a phone call the next day from the maintenance manager who assured us the problem had previously been resolved by and electrician and we would get a credit for our troubles. Either the electrician took the homeowners money and didn't fix the issue or the maintenance man was telling us what we wanted to hear. We have yet to see a credit on our account. We have many memories that will last a lifetime from both of our stays in this home which will be cherished. However we will not be returning. We made the most of our stay here despite the issues we had.

This house was great for our family of 5 vacation. It has a very modern kitchen stocked with most everything you could need. The wrap around deck was great for the pup to run some energy off too. Super close walking distance to the beach. We would definitely stay here again!

Our trip was wonderful! Beautiful weather. Clean quiet community . Home was comfortable and accommodated our needs . Great location ! We will come back
