The pictures don’t do it justice. The house is clean, spacious, and comfortable. The ability to divide sections off for different activities is fantastic. And the outside living space is DEVINE. The jacuzzi was hot, and the stargazing from it was magical. Beds were comfy, neighborhood quiet, kitchen well-supplied, lots of towels, everything worked and the documentation was clear. Josh was communicative and very responsive. We were sad to leave and hope to come back soon!

Everything we would need and more in the kitchen. Game room a fun and comfy place to hang out. Nice views and lovely outdoor spaces. Heaters took a while to warm up the house but it was cold and windy when we arrived. They eventually caught up. Pictures made it seem a little more wild and remote than it was, but it was still a private, quiet retreat while being easy to get to town and the national park. Very responsive host!

The Rockwood Hill House is a lovely stay in the high desert, with amazing views overlooking the Yucca Valley. Getting there was easy with detailed instructions. The kitchen, dining, and living rooms are spacious and there was lots of outdoor space for eating and relaxing. The game room is a huge bonus! I only wish we could have stayed longer. We will certainly be back, maybe with friends!

We really enjoyed our stay on your property… just walking around the grounds alone and watching the wildlife that roam throigh was an experience in and of itself. Shooting stars from the hot tub… and the views of the city lights below.. What a nice experience in a clean friendly environment

Everything about our stay was wonderful! We met up with our graduate school daughter and her friend at a place none of us had been to prior. Josh and Don were amazing hosts from the welcome snacks to providing everything you could possibly need during your stay. Their beautiful home is so close to the west entrance of the park where after enjoying lazy mornings having coffee together and maybe throwing in a game of pool we would pack a lunch and head into the park. Joshua Tree park is surreal and worth visiting and Josh and Don’s house is a perfect homebase to come back to every afternoon/night. We loved spending time in the hot tub at night watching the stars and the distant lights, playing trivia and pool in the game room which was a perfect gathering place when we weren’t out exploring. Josh & Dan- Thank you so much for your hospitality! We made so many great memories!

We stayed for three days while visiting Joshua Tree National Park and surrounding area. The house was so convenient to the entrance to the NP. The sunrise each morning was stunning. The house is so cute and had everything we needed for a wonderful vacation. I highly recommend this house for your JT vacation!!

Rockwood Hill House was the perfect launching pad for our family adventures. The home was impeccably clean, tastefully decorated and well stocked with bathroom and kitchen supplies. Our first morning we saw one of the most stunning sunrises of our life. It’s also a fun house to spend time with your teenage and young adult children. We would definitely stay here again. Cheers!

My small family enjoyed the relaxing setting of this adorable home. The views are endless, the decor is a fun play on vintage features and the game room was a wonderful bonus! The park is a short drive and the downtown area is even closer. The hosts are very responsive and friendly.

Our family took a quick trip to LA to visit my son then to Joshua Tree with him for the weekend. The house was absolutely perfect! Beautiful, clean, and bedding & mattresses were amazing! We were close to entrance of Joshua Tree and town yet had plenty of privacy. Josh was great and so responsive! Definitely would stay again!

We spent 2 nights in this house and wished we had a few more. If you think the pictures look good, it's even more impressive in person. It was 100 degrees out when we came and were very comfortable. There is always a spot with shade where you can sit and there is AC in every room inside. We've had unforgettable memories in our few days at Joshua Tree and this house is a big part of it.

Our 1st time in JT, and this house set us up for success. This House on the Hill had it all. It was clean, spacious, quiet, and just perfect for us. From sunrise to sunset, we didn’t want to leave. We saw lots of wildlife (coyotes, roadrunners, ravens, hares, & more) , enjoyed our nights grilling out and watching the stars in the hot tub. Kitchen had everything we needed, A/C worked perfectly. Very Close to town and West Park Entrance. We can’t wait to come back!

What a wonderful family vacation we had. This house is so clean and well appointed, everything from extra blankets, to towels, to pots and pans, glasses. Everything is exactly as it is listed, from the clean and well maintained hot tub, to the working fireplace. We had an amazingly wonderful time. Short easy drive into the park, and perfect home base to relax, spread out, and enjoy our time. We can not wait to return. Thank you for a wonderful vacation.

Great spot on the edge of Joshua Tree. We loved the dessert plants and animals. We heard the coyote and saw jackrabbits, Gambles Quail and road runners. The house is quiet and well equipped.

Perfect house for our first family location with an infant. Very cozy, warm and beautifully decorated. We spent most our days in the park but it was so nice to come back to the house and relax in the jacuzzi or sit outside and take in the stunning views. Josh was a wonderful host and excellent with communication.
