great time

This was a decent property. Gary was awesome to work with and the price was great. One thing I’d say is the actual town isn’t pretty. Some of the houses you drive by to get to the house are run down or burnt out. I know the coast of TX so no big deal for us. If you’ve stayed at some of the nicer properties in Galveston or other places(ie way more expensive and “professionally managed”) just know that this property isn’t like those. That being said- it was safe, plenty of room for everyone, and we would stay again! I can’t emphasize enough how easy Gary was to work with.

We took our boys on a mini vacation for spring break we had a great time Gary was right there ready and willing to answer any questions we had the weather was not that great but we still enjoyed our stay ... everything we needed was available in the house the kids really liked the swings on the lower deck

Very clean house to stay in. My husband and I enjoy fishing everyday. Quiet neighborhood and friendly neighbors. We really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely book again!!

This was an amazing nst5ay for the guys. They were so comfortable and had such a relaxing time. They were there on business but were able to have some relaxing fun also. The owner was a delight and very kind. Thank you Gary for a wonderful stay.

This was a perfect spot. It was a great blessing to have a place close to Galveston which was our real destination but this place had everything so we found that we made one of our days specifically about staying there and enjoying the water and paddle boat and fishing with the kids:) thank you Gary. Only a 30 minute drive into Galveston to Moody Gardens and the beach. The July 4th holiday made it a bit more of a challenge but well worth it. Highly recommend Louis’ Baitcamp Restaurant just a few minutes away! Home was perfect for our family with grown children and grandchild…separate bedrooms and bathrooms. Owner was very responsive to questions.

This was one of the most relaxing vacations we've had as a family since the kids became adults . We fished, trapped crabs, paddle boat, ate where the locals ate , enjoyed the sunrises &sunsets , & the drive into Galveston beaches took just a few minutes. The owner was great & the neighbors were friendly. This is a low- key non/ fluffy atmosphere, but if you like the country type atmosphere, this is your place! We will be back !

This place had plenty space and beds for everyone. The upper deck was nice to sit out on and watch the water but I would suggest and umbrella for shade though. This was perfect right on the water with our very own boat slip. Great water to go tubing on for the kids. This was the best spot to catch crabs right on the pier. The pier needs some work because my daughter tripped over a bad spot that has come up and fell in the water. No big deal cause we had been out swimming out there and she wasn’t hurt and we all laughed about it but there are a few spots that could use work but we loved it out there and spent most of our days right on that pier or in the water. Would definitely stay there again. Not far from any place we wanted to visit. Great communication with Gary and the neighbor is very nice. Definitely a must do again.

Our stay hear in Hitchcock Texas was excellent! We liked it a lot. It was 9 of us and more than enough room. The water in the back was great. The kids loved it. It had cable and WiFi that made it a big plus. That felt right at home. And it was right outside of Galveston which wasn’t far at all. Ten minutes out. The price was very reasonable no traffic with location right outside of Galveston and I would recommend to anyone and I will be coming back. Thanks Mr Gary for everything and Mr. Gary was a very genuine host and made you feel very welcome with your stay there. Always answered our questions that we asked and was very helpful with things we didn’t know that was a PLUS!!!!!!

It was awesome the house was clean and out off the beaten path away from all the noise of the beachfront. The evenings were great watching the sunset. The beds were clean and comfy .We will definitely stay there again. The drive to the beaches was short and we were close to the Dollar store if we needed anything and Walmart wasn't too far either.

My daughter loved the swing under the deck, the swing by the water and the options to use a paddle boat or fish off the dock. The location is good. Quite and the neighbors were friendly.

Owners must be cat owners as there was cat hair everywhere. The cleaners leave a lot to be desired. Extreme tide had the house completely surrounded by saltwater. Waded in Friday night. Then it was even deeper Saturday morning. Water completely across the road leaving my vehicle sitting in saltwater and us wading out. We called to cancel the remainder of our stay as wading twice was more than I desired.

Good overall, needs just a little maintenance. Not much on curb appeal, but had everything we needed and experienced 0 problems during our stay. Had a few questions and Gary was very friendly and helpful when we called.

We had a great time and Gary is a great host! Everybody loved taking the paddle boat and the kayak out on the water. House is on a protected estuary so water was always calm. Fishing was slow but everything was very relaxing. Lots of room for kids to roam around and interesting creatures to catch in nets both in water and on land. Caught baby flounder and baby gar and then a preying mantis on land. Be sure to bring bug repellant, mosquitos are bad.

Would highly recommend a stay at Gary’s place. We were initially booked for an earlier weekend but due to hurricane weather we had to reschedule. Thankfully Gary was very communicative and accommodating and we were able to stay during a weekend with perfect (but hot, as expected haha) weather. The house was comfortable and had everything we could have asked for. Had a great time fishing, crabbing, and kayaking. A very fun time!

Friendly people in area nice view just the problem was the cleaning like ace vent was not cleaned in awhile deep freezer had bad smell other than that it was ok I would rent again in the future

Overall our stay was very nice.

There was 9 of us. Ranging from 32 to 3 years old. We all had a blast. Location perfect and easy to get to the ocean from. Definitely being coming back.

Owners were really nice. We enjoyed fishing, crabbing and being out on the water on canoe and paddle boat. Short drive to the beach. Boys all enjoyed themselves!!! Hope to return again.
