The cottage was charming and located in a great neighborhood. It is in walking distance of the St Simons Pier and village. Property manager was especially nice to work with. We needed a porch light and my husband texted her and she responded quickly. Anyone who chooses to rent this cottage will be very pleased. Jerry and Laura

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It's nicely decorated and is exactly as shown on pictures. The fenced in backyard is a big bonus if you come with a pet, our dog loved exploring it. The location is very convenient, walk to the village and pier! We drove to the beach which is only few minutes with ample parking. The cottage is also within easy access to the main SSI road, so quick trips to sites like the Fort or Jekyll island are very easy to take.

Charming older cottage well suited for 2 or a small family. Pet friendly. Nicely decorated, everything we needed in the kitchen. Location near Pier Village ideal. Also easy to jump on Frederica Road for trips to north end. We enjoyed our week.

Mellette’s home was perfect for our visit to St. Simons. We had stayed in that neighborhood before, so we knew it was friendly and convenient to the rest of the island. The house was extremely clean, well-furnished, well-equipped and very comfortable. The back yard was great for our dogs, the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking and we could walk to Pier Village and everything it has to offer in less than 20 minutes. We will definitely keep this place on the list for our next visit to the area.

The house and location is exactly what we wanted. Easy drive to Savannah and Jacksonville and all St Simons Island and Jekyll Island has to offer. The house is perfect for any needs that you would have.

We've been coming to Saint Simons every year for close to 10 years now and we agreed that this place has been our favorite place we've stayed. This home is so charming with it's original hardwoods from the days that the WW2 airmen built the place. It has all the modern amenities we all love today though. TV in every room with live streaming, a full size washer and dryer, and a nice office area for those who need to get a little work done while away from home. The backyard is huge and fully enclosed which made it so easy with our pups. That was one reason we picked this place and it made all the difference. It was convenient for a nice mile walk to the village and close to that distance to the beach too. I went for a nice walk every morning and it was glorious. The neighborhood is mostly quiet and easy going. There's a little noise from jets taking off at the airport but it wasn't too noticable. We enjoyed the outdoor deck and our dogs loved all the nice landscaping with plenty of things to sniff and explore. The kitchen and living rooms were comfortable and fully furnished with everything we needed. We were a 4 minute drive from Winn Dixie and could easily swing by for staples like coffee and bottled water. One nice surprise is that there was a 5 gallon jug of purified water with a dispenser which was nice (call me a snob but I can't get used to the coastal sulfury water taste). The good water was an extra we hadn't expected! We plan to stay here again next year Lord willing!

This house is a perfect gem. The fully fenced and very private back yard is excellent for those traveling with dogs. The location is very quiet with very friendly neighbors. There are a few other rentals on the street but most neighbors are local residents. Comfortable queen bedroom with good lighting, plenty of storage. Separate office was very convenient for working and staying away from noise. Kitchen is better stocked than most houses I've stayed in - even good knives and glass storage containers! House is close to grocery shopping and not far from the beach. Overall a great stay!

Well appointed cottage in nice neighborhood. Bike to Pier Village and parks. Short drive to various beach access points. Renting a golf cart is ideal but not necessary. Convenient to grocery store. Equipped with everything we needed for a month long stay with pets.

Mellette's place was absolutely perfect! Immediately upon entering the home, we were ready to move in. I loved the location. It was close to restaurants and the beach, so it was easy to get out and adventure. And, it's nestled back in a neighborhood that was quiet and relaxing. Our dogs LOVED the backyard, and we also enjoyed sitting on the patio. We would love to stay there again!

Fantastic cottage. All the amenities anyone could want. The house is beautifully furnished. The backyard was great for my little dog and just relaxing on the deck. Super location and lovely neighborhood. It was a great trip. The manager is more than accommodating and accessible if needed.

My husband and I and our two pups spent 5 weeks at Melette’s place and never wanted to leave. The house is so adorable and comfortable. Melette was great to work with. Very responsive and accommodating. We will be back!

I had to cut my stay here short unfortunately due to a personal matter back home but Mellette was compassionate, accommodating and understanding of my change in plans. The time I did spend at this wonderful home was restful, relaxing and comfortable. Mellette goes above and beyond in welcoming her home and provides many welcoming touches to enhance the experience. It was the perfect home away from home for my dogs and me for our short time there. I hope to return one day!

Great house with well equipped kitchen, nice living room and good outdoor space. The location was convenient to stores, restaurants, the beach and the pier. The host was very responsive and made this rental into a warm, welcoming home. We really enjoyed our stay!

This was the easiest VRBO experience I've had! Mellette is very accommodating, friendly, and efficient. Our dog Toby loved the freedom of the fenced backyard and the freedom to RUN on the beach! Already planning to return.

This house was close to all dining and shoping. Within walking distance. The neighborhood was really nice. Alot of the homes have and are being remolded. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The fenced in back yard was great for our dogs.

Great place! Great host! We rented a golf cart to take to the restaurants and beach. Backyard is wonderful and private for the pups.

My wife and I were looking for a weekend getaway on St. Simon's Island that had a yard for the furbabies to enjoy as well. This property was everything we could ask for. Great yard, quiet location, responsive owner and very centrally located. The descriptions and pictures are an accurate representation of the property! We, and "the children" enjoyed our stay and will definately book again the next time we come to St. Simons!

The cottage was lovely and the pictures do not really convey how nice it is. We loved the convenient location to the village and being able to walk to dinner every evening. We biked all over the island and enjoyed coming back to the comfortable couches after busy days. The cottage has everything you will need and then some! The special touches like being greeted with fresh flowers and a welcome back with all the pertinent information made this a great stay. (Her book opens be saying the two things people usually want first...a grocery store and liquor store! PERFECT! We loved our stay and hope to be back again soon. I cannot recommend this host/location more highly.
