Great stay. The owners are very communicative. We checked in easily with the door staff. We arrived early and the door staff was helpful and allowed us to store our bags and explore the area. The inside matches the pictures. The outside has to been seen day or night to appreciate the pictures. Beds are very comfortable. Kitchen is well appointed. (A grocery store is ten steps away from downstairs entry.) the bathrooms were clean. The washer and drier are very useful. It is a two story unit. But a blessing is that you can avoid dragging bags upstairs possibly damaging you or a wall by taking the elevator one floor up and entering through the upstairs master bedroom. The location for convention center shuttles is very convenient as it is 200’ from the from door. The proximity to entertainment, dining and shopping is excellent. Very safe. We have stayed here for a number of years and look forward to being back next year. Thank you Jeri-Lou and James.

The pictures don’t do this property justice. The views of Chicago are the best in the city. The property is spotless and modern. The location is incredible for shops and restaurants and you’re right on the red line to tour the city. The hosts are wonderful and available for any questions. The best place to stay in Chicago!

Drinking coffee 55 floors up on the balcony was a highlight of this property. It is large, comfortable, secure and close to everything.

The location of the property was perfect. Easy to walk to many locations. The condo was comfortable and had a beautiful view of the city.

The property is exactly as described and photographed, the view is indescribably breathtaking! The owners are wonderful to work with. Check in/out was uncomplicated and straightforward. Parking passes are HIGHLY recommended, this option is not an additional revenue source but a must if you are driving within and around the city; otherwise the public transport city planning did a fantastic job for areas that are a bridge to far to walk. Our penthouse was beautiful but livable and comfortable to come back to after long days from working away from home.

We are a group of six 70+ year old women who have been friends for over 40 years. We stayed at the Grand Plaza 6 years ago and loved it. This is the first time we have vacationed together since Covid, and the Grand Plaza did not disappoint. We loved the location, the views, and all the amenities. Mostly, we loved being together in such a beautiful place.

Extraordinary views, clean, perfect central location

Hands down, one of the best properties I’ve ever rented in the 10 years I’ve used VRBO. The apartment was IMMACULATE. A gorgeous penthouse with a huge wrap-around terrace where we enjoyed our morning coffee with spectacular views of Lake Michigan. The location couldn’t be beat with easy accessibility to the red-line subway and short distances to most major attractions and both Lake Michigan and the Chicago River. The apartment was well-stocked with linens, paper products, soap/shampoos, tea and various sweeteners, foil/cling wrap and even a loaded spice rack! The building has wonderful amenities with the kindest, most helpful staff. The owners could not have been more wonderful and accommodating. Detailed instructions on check-in/check-out as well as how to get to the property were provided and the owners were so accommodating and accessible if we needed any assistance. Would definitely rent again!

This is a great property in a fantastic location. It was perfect for our family and allowed us to see Chicago and have a home we could return to. Fantastic views, great amenities and a homey environment made our family trip a success.

First time bringing our daughters to the city after my wife and I lived there in our younger days. Everything was perfect for what we wanted. Location was awesome with grocery store in the same building and red line stop on the corner for easy access to Millennium Park and Wrigley Field. Walkable to all downtown attractions. Will definitely try to stay here again when we come back. Girls were sad to leave and already excited for a return trip!

Excellent property….perfect location for exploring the city. Easy walking distance to many restaurants, grocery store at ground level. The view from the balcony is amazing. We will definitely consider this property for future trips to Chicago.

This property exceeded our expectations. We enjoy the pool. We enjoyed the views. It was very easy to come and go, the doorman and the staff were very kind throughout our stay. We had no issues. The people sleeping on the pull out couch were very warm in the morning as the sun comes through the glass windows, so just keep that in mind and be sure to bring sleeping masks because it is very bright throughout the condo.

This apartment was perfect in every way. We celebrated our granddaughters birthday here and the accommodations show very well in all the photos. The city views are amazing! The home is well stocked with everything needed (including q tips and cotton rounds, shampoo, conditioner and bath soaps). The store downstairs (Jewel) has everything you need, including a bakery. The rooms are comfortable with beautiful views. The views comes with a price…. Be sure and close the blinds at night. The morning sun is bright and will warm up the home in a hurry. The wrap around patio is the very best part!

Spectacular view. Very Clean. Great location. Very Comfortable.

The view of the city is lovely. It was unfortunate that the dishwasher went out so two of our days were interrupted with maintenance crews. We did not have any use of the dishwasher for the entire stay. That was quite annoying. We also had to go buy toilet paper as they only provided a few rolls per bathroom. The view and the property were nice but it seemed that the dishwasher should have been replaced before our stay, not during it.

The property is as advertised with a beautiful of both the city to the north and Lake Michigan to the east. The location is extremely convenient, within walking distance to Michigan Avenue plus many other restaurants and sites to see. The hosts make sure that every detail of the stay is well communicated, which can be a little overwhelming, but in the end is helpful. The hosts also make sure that the property is extremely well supplied for your visit and was very well cleaned prior to our arrival. The only thing that would keep me from giving this a 5 in every category is that the level of finish was not quite what I would expect for a luxury penthouse but that also didn't detract from enjoying our stay one bit. It is a wonderful property and we would definitely stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay here so much - the location was perfect for walking! We had our vehicle along but never felt like we needed to pull it from parking. The VIEWS were incredible - the pictures online don’t do it justice! We loved seeing the Navy Pier fireworks from the balcony at night. Thanks for a great stay!

Very good communication with managers. Very comfy beds! Super clean and we had everything we needed. Very bright in the morning- could use room darkening shades.

The property was clean and the location was close to restaurants and shopping. Overall we have a great stay, the condo is a bit dated and the bedrooms can get very hot in June when the weather is warm. The view was like no other and we enjoyed going out on the balcony to look at the city everyday.

I’ve stayed here multiple times and can’t say enough about the property. The views are incredible and the location can’t be better. This is close to everything you want and even has a grocery store in the first floor for small items you need during the stay. The hosts are easy to work with and respond quickly to any questions or concerns. You won’t be disappointed in any way by the property. I have three stays here this spring/summer alone.
