finding a parking space, no frying pan, remote for the TV did not work, downstairs shower was scalding water, bedroom on ground level - one of the mattresses is worn and has a dip in it, overall needs a little TLC

the central heating was not working, the remote for the tv was not working even after putting in new battery's, the beds advertised as king size beds they were not Kingsize at all. kitchen was ok but not a lot of utensils for cooking meals for 8 people. Garden area out back was weedy unkept, stairs down to garden area very steep not suitable for small children or adults with mobility issues. pictures of property showed plenty of towels in each room sadly same as above there was not had to purchase more towels for the stay

The number of bedrooms was suitable for us.

Location and parking was not convenient,

number of beds beds were comfortable closeness to Alton towers

not enough space to dine. only four could dine at the table with their backs to the others who had to eat on the sofa. The living space and seating did not match the number of people who could stay in the house! other parts of the house where tired looking and needed fixed. wires in some places made it unsafe for younger kids. blinds were not blackout and very thin so there was little affect with keeping out light. the outside space was unattractive and again in places unsafe for younger children

To be honest, I actually have no negative sides to this stay.

Description and facilities given for this property are not correct. There is no High chair, toiletries and baby safety gates. Additionally, the so-called “Extra-long beds” are actually just two single beds joined together, the TV does not work and most importantly, the property is not clean, hypoallergenic or safe. If you have any allergies or skin sensitivities then stay away from this property. Moreover I do not recommend anyone with young children to stay here as the stairs are unsafe without safety gates. This was especially frustrating and inconvenient as we had to be constantly vigilant for our two year old falling from the stairs rather than enjoying our stay. The smoke alarms did not work and the date for recommended following check on the gas safety certificate was overdue. The host does not take any liability for the above-mentioned hazards and your queries will simply not be resolved. My family has developed a very dangerous rash on the skin and asthma problems after staying here. If you cannot be honest but still want to earn money then at least you should have the courage and dignity to admit and compensate if someone politely reminds you about it, instead of putting the blame on someone else. The host was notified within the first hour of arrival yet none of the above issues were resolved during our three-night stay and no compensation was given. I do not want anyone else to go through this. I hope my review will save your well-earned money.

Needed a bit of looking after -the electrics seemed dodgy, lots of sellotape over light switches and broken rails, doors etc

The property location is generally good and the of the property was brilliant.

In terms of general maintenance of the property there were numerous elements that require attention to make this a good property, including: -If you have toddlers or travelling with small people, we would not recommend this property. - Broke/uneven steps out of the back down to garden. Very dangerous for smaller guests. - Downstairs shower room, tiling broken under shower. - The smell of dog and dog hair was present throughout the property. - Kitchen cupboard doors broken and off hinges. - TV is poor. Having to use a manual aerial for signal. - Metal strip at the top of the stairs requires tightening or replacing

We stayed here as a cheaper alternative to the Alton Towers hotel and we were not disappointed. The house was very spacious and accommodated our large group perfectly. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to stay in that area or visit Alton towers. The advert states that there is not space for a travel cot, however there is ample space in every room. Fantastic choice of restaurants on deliveroo too which is always a bonus.

I had to buy 3 light bulbs for bed lights as they were missing had to replace battery's in central heating controller also top landing smoke alarm,the back garden could have done with weeding as it took away from great view.

The location and size of the house was perfect to allow the family to stay together.it was also a nice quiet street,

The location is quiet, convenient for shops and food, good base for Alton Towers and when we had a problem with the WiFi the owners were responsive.

WiFi coverage was not very good outside of the downstairs bedroom and living room, the accommodation is in need of some repairs to wear and tear and the garden needs some attention
