We had a lovely stay, the property is spacious and the large deck just perfect for meals and afternoon drinks. Close to the beach which is great. The kitchen is well equipped, great water pressure in the bathrooms and excellent parking for multiple cars.

We stay in a different house in Mangawhai heads once or twice a year and this time We went for a little girls weekend, the house was amazing the views were amazing, 2x bathrooms with 7 women was a bonus, you could comfortably have 4x couples or 2x family's, we had bad weather but it did not matter there was enough room in the house and the views were still fantastic. Loved the We definitely look forward to staying here again.

This was the perfect spot for a family holiday - so, so close to the surf beach and also the calm estuary which was great to paddleboard and for the little kids (and for adults too!) house had everything we needed - spacious and lovely views. Highly recommended.

We had a ladies weekend with 6 of us. The property was immaculate. The kitchen was really well stocked plenty of cutlery, crockery and most importantly glassware. The location was amazing with a very short walk to the beach. The markets in town were great on the Saturday morning.

The house is beautiful with big wide sliding doors opening on to a huge deck in front of amazing sea views. The kitchen, bathrooms and lounge are all high-spec and a pleasure to spend a weekend in. Just a few minutes walk from the beach - it's idyllic.

Well presented, spacious house with great deck. More bedding required - for winter stays bedding provided is not warm enough.

By far the best Bach in my four visits to Mangawhai. Clean and well appointed with excellent facilities. Will definitely return.

Stayed with a group of girlfriends and everyone enjoyed their stay. The accommodation was well appointed, very comfortable and the view is stunning. Close to the surf beach and five minutes drive from the village it was a very relaxing base from which to explore the area. Thank you

This property has a estuary view to die for from its upper storey spaces - living/ dining and two of the bedrooms. The lower floor is ho-hum but would be fine for say children under 15. Bathrooms are well appointed but the kitchen facilities were a mixed bag - great coffee machine, heaps of crockery/ cutlery, generally good cookware and fittings but a missing few smaller things like decent cutting boards, prep knives, etc ......but probably fine if you embrace a Bach mentality. Only real gripe was the maintenance - lack of a working vacuum cleaner affected us (and obviously the regular cleaner) and it would have been a nice mid-winter welcome if the gas bottles were full on arrival - both ran out during our 4 night stay -though there were some good bedroom electric heaters as back up. Beds and furniture was generally well provided for and suitably comfy - sufficient for 9-10 people. The location is 5 mins easy walk to the surf club and surely one of the best beaches in NZ - the stunning cliff top walk (a must) starts/ ends a further 15 mins from there. There is also the harbour estuary to the south of the surf club. Mangawhai Heads shops/ cafes are 5 mins by car and Mangawhai township (and its TWO Sat markets and Choc shop) a further 5 mins away. So all in all a great place to get away from the city - and boy, especially that view.....

Clean and welcoming, this was a wonderful property for a bunch of Mum's escaping the kids for the weekend. Perfect location, friendly and helpful shuttle service and the views!

Very comfortable and great location

The home’s situation is perfect for the surf beach and estuary access. The views from the front decks are spectacular. The open concept works well for multiple families and is tremendous for entertaining and meal prep. If there were ammenitíes missing we did not notice. BBQ, espresso machine, stereo, fireplace (although it was too hot to use it) and a TV were all available. Multiple fridges and laundry were also included. Parking was easy for multiple vehicles. Bedrooms were well appointed and the beds were comfortable. We’d be happy to book it in the future and hope to have the opportunity to do so.

Spits End is the most magnificent house! We booked the home for our accommodation for our wedding week. The house is huge and flows beautifully and the views are simply breathtaking. Everybody that came over to say hi was blown away with the house and the views. Would recommend the home to anyone looking to get the best view of Mangawhai whilst staying in a warm, clean, large home!
