Staff were great and very helpful. Golf course really nice and the grounds man was doing a great job given the weather we have had. Breakfast and evening meals were nice.

The rooms are starting to look a bit dated and need a revamp but still clean. Shame the chief was only there from Wednesday-Sunday but the Chinese down the road was nice.

The bed was comfortable and room was spacious. Staff were friendly and helpful. Everywhere felt very clean.

Plug in heater did not work. Bathroom a bit tired. Balcony and furniture old and tatty. Only continental breakfast available as no chef on duty.

Cheaper choice could have been better

The staff here are dealing valiantly with a hotel that is well overdue for a refurb, short of staff and unable to open fully for catering. This could be a wonderful venue as we have tried (and failed) to find a good hotel in this area. This one is in a wonderful spot, rooms have a balcony and table and chairs, there are spa facilities and a pool in the building. I initially chose it because I thought i could have an early morning swim before the spa opened but this was not possible. It has all the makings of a great hotel, pity that it cannot be made into one at the moment..... Lovely bar terrace outside on a beautiful evening but no use as there was no food - shame.

No food. A pool that was tantalisingly unavailable, not enough staff, breakfast running out well before 10am.

As only continental available it was limited.

Decor in bad need of updating. Primitive air conditioning. Access for disabled inadequate, no marked parking bays close to hotel, no easy access via smooth path from parking area.

The view of the golf course

The room was dated and tired - it is described as a luxury room but the curtains were torn and frayed and the furniture and decor very dated - including the balcony and the terrace area. We waited for our pre ordered breakfast at the arranged time but were not even acknowledged by staff after 15 minutes, so we left. The hotel was not busy so there was no excuse for this. I have contacted the hotel directly for a refund but as yet have had no response.

Everything- staff very friendly, accommodating and professional. Made extra effort to ensure kids were happy at dinner. Room was huge, and very clean. Aircon unit was available which was great due to south facing sunny aspect. Beautiful views of golf course.

Friendly and helpful staff throughout the hotel. Very comfortable bed. Nice buffet breakfast. Lovely view across the countryside, although the balcony area was a bit shabby. I was only at the hotel for 2 nights as I was attending a memorial/celebration event for an old friend in the area so I did not use any of the hotel's other facilities, but it seemed to be very popular as a golfing hotel.

The lead for the electric kettle was very short and only just reached from the wall sockets to the surfaces so it could easily tip over. The portable electric table fan is desperately in need of cleaning.

Large and very comfortable room, very pleasant and helpful staff. Fantastic location. Loved the balcony with our room overlooking the golf course with beautiful views.

a good size room which had a great view and comfortable bed. staff were friendly and helpful. breakfast was plentiful.

decor was a little bit dated and worn. shower was over the bath and very narrow and had a shower curtain. you couldn’t help brushing up against the curtain as you showered. nobody enjoys a cuddle from a cold wet shower curtain.

The room and the view was exceptional

Not having a cooked breakfast. We went to a wedding the night before and a cooked breakfast would have made us feel better. Even if this was only offered on a Sunday morning. Apart from this everything was great marvellous views and really comfy beds.
