Breakfast and evening meals where great and my wife enjoyed ice with apple juice too

just that they need to up grade the showers mostly draining of water and extra bath mats

Cute bed and breakfast with a good restaurant in their gorgeous garden. Short walk to a lovely local beach, safe neighborhood, friendly staff, well-decorated comfortable rooms. For American visitors: it's like a Hilton Doubletree: nothing very fancy, but it has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Really enjoyed my visit.

It was a strange moment to be in lively, fascinating Mombasa, with the coronavirus bearing down on the world. I was somewhat stressed, waiting to see if my flights back to the States would be taking off as planned. (Air France sent me an email the day before I was to leave for Nairobi and then home, saying that my flight was canceled and that it was not able to re-book me. Thank goodness for Emirates, which made a customer for life.) The lovely staff members at this boutique hotel made my worries fade away, however. The room was comfortable, and the bar and restaurant were oases of friendliness and sanity in a world gone mad. It was very easy to grab a tuk-tuk to get around the area, but I also walked to the nearby mall for supplies and to various restaurants. The resort hotel across the street allowed me to walk along its beach (the public ones were closed), and the outdoor bar overlooking it was a chill spot to hang out, drink a few Tuskers, and chat with everyone about the crazy state of the world and the troubles that were facing Kenya and its tourism industry. I hope to return to Moffat Court and Nyali soon, in calmer times.
