We on purpose booked the room with terrace and sea view and absolutely loved it! The room (which actually is like a small flat) deserves 11 out of 10 for its terrace (wow!), design, location, hosts, cleanliness and its overall character. Thank you very much, we haven't stopped thinking about returning!

Nothing in practice, just staying way too little there... and not being able to use the boat trip proposed by the host. Comments below are to help the hosts and the guests understand the situation. The room has no wifi - it is written in the description, but there are too many not reading it properly. Wifi isn't really needed on Marettimo though... The construction of the room (house) is such that the wind sounds way louder and stronger than it really is. If you choose staying right on the seaside (literally) just take into account there can be wind. The hosts do not actually speak English (we didn't meet a person on Marettimo who does), however they do have some understanding of it. Just be prepared.

1. Spacious, modern, stylish, functional, well-designed, well-executed, well equipped, practically furnished, clean and filled with light! As for light, an excellent system of lighting and switches both in the apartment and on the stairs leading to the street and to the roof. 2. A lot of storage space, possibly most of the dozens of accommodations we have experienced in Sicily over the years. 3. Wonderfully located, within an easy walking distance to the ferries, shops, and fantastic cafes with great food and even better views. 4. Large rooftop terrace equipped with a table, chairs and drying racks. 5. Great kitchen, including a lot of various cooking utensils, cleaning products and a small welcome bottle of water. 6. Elegant bathroom, with a lot of shelves, a big shower cabin and very effective rain shower. To sum it all up, a beautiful place containing everything a traveller may need. ❤️

The pictures are misleading and make you believe that you will have a nice bathroom when the bathrooms are actually old and small, which leads to disappointment when arriving. The Double Room with Private Bathroom actually was at the B&B Scalo Vecchio that you can google to get pics and reviews. I would have preferred to know exactly what room I was getting beforehand. It also seems to be in a different building than the nicer Sea View Room with terrace. You also better have data to communicate with the hosts to be able to find the place.
