Overall facilities are good, but noise when air conditioner is running.

It was serene, the view was wonderful, yet private. The food and course was delicious. The staff is very nice and genuine.

The taxi service is a bit limited, however taking a personal taxi isn’t expensive. If you end up needing it, they will estimate fair at about ¥1,300.

The food, the experience of everything, the silence and the beautiful room. Everything was perfect. I’d happily recommend this place to others who want to experience a great Ryokan experience. The onsen on the balcony was very nice too.

Wonderful room with private rotenburo overlooking Sagami Bay. Excellent food with attentive and friendly staff. They kindly prepared a lovely bouquet of flowers for my wife’s birthday.

ambiance was really serene and beautiful, staff was very attentive and kind - they really make you feel valued. We had the dinner and breakfast and it was more than enough food - beautiful plating and the food was overall pretty good. I would say the breakfast was most exceptional though. Our room had a view that was gorgeous and the Onsen was relaxing. also love they provide clothes for you to wear - it looks like Japanese traditional clothing.

Our 2nd stay here in 5 years, exceptional boutique hotel managed fantastically and with pride. We will be back soon again. Relaxing environment and traditional Japanese Ryokan with many modern amenities. Heated outdoor shower tile, private open air onsen, clean interior, and large/functional floor plan with sitting areas for dining/reading, fast WiFi. Complimentary tea, coffee, water, beer and bites are a nice touch. Service is truly second to none and was awesome! They even served us hand made mochi and heat pads for the evening! The chef makes very good meals and we were impressed! Excellent alcohol selection. Close to Atami’s main area near train station, plum garden close by. The cost of our stay vs what you get commends incredible value and we recommend staying at least 2 nights to soak in the experience.

Common areas and room are neat, and very clean, although there‘a dust built up in corners and above our heads on beams/air vents. My wife is very sensitive and allergic so she had a hard time breathing well. We were provided an air filter but a better job dusting should be done given the 4-star level. Maybe it’s a sign of how mineral rich the hot spring water is (which is good) but the outdoor tub could use cleaning/scraping of mineral build up. We were disappointed with the toilet bidet nozzles having black build up which wasn’t pleasant. Given the age and wear/tear of the room it could use general re-finishing/polishing of wood that’s been scratched/worn down. Overall these won’t stop us from revisiting but recommend some general upkeep in these areas.

incredible design, great spaces, outstanding views, luxurious onsen, incredibly elegant, delicious meals, heavenly sleeping.

Everything was just that the hotel says in its website. Our room was huge, clean and comfortable, with separate sitting room. The in-room open air hot spring bath, which was very private yet had a view on the sunrise was excellent. The deck, which has coffee machine and chair is also an excellent place to watch the sun rises from the ocean. Excellent staff who were trained with excellent courtesy, friendly and helpful. Both dinner (kaiseki meal) and breakfast were excellent. We could taste the freshness of the ingredients and the skills of the cook. The pick-up and drop-off service were also good. We would definitely return.

Very friendly staff, lovely room and the hot spring was very nice and had a wonderful view. Dinner and breakfast was great. The food was very tasty and well prepared. We are so happy with our stay.
