Very nice local business of two brothers born in the village honestly trying to protect this beautiful nature area.
Main focus on tigers, like most people in Bardiya I guess. So much great nature around, we didnt come for tigers but felt disappointed leaving without seeing them since everybody was just talking about seeing tigers. All other species seem to be less important.

We had the most unforgettable stay at Wild Planet Eco Retreat! From the moment we arrived, we felt like we were truly in the heart of the jungle. The retreat is surrounded by nature, and the sound of the wildlife around you instantly transports you to another world. It's the perfect balance of comfort and immersion in nature. The staff and guides are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the wildlife. Our guide was an expert in tracking animals and had an incredible eye for spotting wildlife that we would have otherwise missed. He not only knew the behavior of the animals but also shared fascinating stories and insights about the flora and fauna in the park. We learned so much during our safaris, and it made the experience all the more enriching.Wild Planet Eco Retreat isn’t just a place to stay—it’s an experience. You feel deeply connected to the wilderness from the moment you step in, whether you're sitting by the fire in the evening, listening to the sounds of the jungle, or out on safari, witnessing the raw beauty of Bardia National Park. The team ensures you have the best wildlife encounters possible, and they genuinely care about the environment and conservation.Highly recommend for anyone looking for an authentic wildlife experience. We'll definitely be back!

A Blissful Retreat That Exceeded All Expectations
I recently had the immense pleasure of staying at wild planet , and I must say, it was an experience beyond compare. From the moment I set foot on the premises, I was enveloped in an atmosphere of serenity and luxury that lasted throughout my entire stay.
The accommodations were nothing short of exceptional. The attention to detail in the design (eco-friendly) of the rooms was truly remarkable. Every corner seemed to have been meticulously crafted to create a harmonious blend of comfort and elegance. The plush furnishings, tasteful decor, and abundance of natural light were a testament to the thoughtfulness that had gone into creating a truly inviting space.
What truly set wild planet apart, however, was the unparalleled level of service. The staff members were not only attentive and professional but also genuinely warm and welcoming. It was evident that they were dedicated to ensuring that every guest's needs were not just met, but exceeded. Whether it was the personalized recommendations they offered for local dining or the seamless assistance with any request, their commitment to guest satisfaction was truly commendable.
The amenities available at wild planet, were second to none. The all the jungle activities absolutely for life time experience. They are true hero of Bardia. Baba and his brother(Prakash) ,they are stand for conservation. they are so worry about human wildlife conflicts. I had life time experience.
What struck me most about wild planet was its idyllic location. Nestled in the heart of nature, it offered breathtaking views that provided an instant escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Whether it was the serene walks through the lush gardens or the awe-inspiring sunsets that painted the sky, every moment spent outdoors was a reminder of the beauty and tranquility of the world.
my stay at wild planet was an experience I will cherish forever.

My stay at Wild Planet was simply amazing!
The place is very beaitiful and peaceful! All areound is green 🌿🤍
I was staying in a mud cottage with two beds and a private bathroom, the cottage was so cute! I had everything i needed, and everything was very clean.
The wifi was working perfect.
The price is more than good for what they offer!
I was arriving in Bardiya very late in the night and they made me feel safe since i was in my way by bus. They arrenge a tuk tuk to pick me up at the bus station.
When i was leaving they also helped me with the bus, booking a place for me and even meeting me at the bus stop.
I felt really at home, everyone at the place is very kind, helpful and respectful.
Thank you for everything 🙏
It was not hot water but for me is kot a problem, the weather is very hot, you don't need it!

Cozy stay. Very authentic cottage.

It was an authentic ‘jungle’ experience with the hand built mud huts and resort. In addition they had very comfortable beds and great Wi-Fi. The owners Baba & his brother and the staff were absolutely brilliant, really friendly and welcoming and provided lovely food and company. The jeep safari was good, in addition to various deer we managed to see a Tiger and an Elephant at close range. Baba is a photographer aswell and can provide shots from the safari. Baba & his brother are very passionate about the local area and the enthusiasm for spotting big game was apparent. Great experience all round and would highly recommend a visit.

I went to this place because a friend of mine recommended it to me. I didn’t do any research and had no idea what to expect. The first contact was great Prakash and Baba went out of their way to make the long trip to Bardiya as easy as possible. They picked me up when I arrived and all through my time with them went out of their way to make my time special and memorable.
The rooms are absolutely adorable. Very clean and traditionally built. You have some spots to chill in the sun or the shade and can hop into the canal that runs by for a cool down.
I did also do 2 walking safaris with Baba and felt safe and well informed. You feel the passion these guys have for nature and especially the jungle and the conservation.
If I could have I would have stayed a lot longer, in the end it was really hard to leave because I really fell in love with the jungle and felt so comfortable around all the people who welcome you to their home and heart.
Thank you so much.

wow what an experience!! I definitely can recommend this place. The people are amazing, it felt like a family, they helped with everything and the jungle safari was absolutely stunning. The room has everything someone need and the place itself was very beautiful. I’ll definitely come back soon! A place full of nature, morning monkeys, flowing river .

Our safari guide Baba was amazing. He was attentive to all of our needs throughout the stay and helped us organize onward transport at the end. The lodge provides free filtered water (instead of using plastic bottles), really living up to its eco lodge name.

Amazing place to stay! Made my visit to Bardiya national park absolutley perfect. Baba and his staff are the friendliest, most proffesional and most welcoming people I've met in Nepal. Baba, Prakas and the rest of the guides are super proffesional in the jungle. They know all sounds, animals and plants. They grew up their whole lives here. They will make your stay perfect and will make sure you see tigers and other animals. They also photograph the animals you see and send you the photos with no extra charge. Great rooms, great food in the restaurant. Location is a 2 minute walk from market and entrance to the national park. The retreat is beautifull and peacefull. Will be back here for sure next time! Recomend with all my heart to stay here when visiting in Bardiya.

In terms of value, this is as good as it gets. It's not a five star hotel room, but a basic lodge that comes with hot water, electricity and a decent bed with mosquito net. Wifi was acceptable, but not excellent. Everything one could need for an authentic stay, however. Outside area is spacious with several sitting spaces, and a good space for yoga as well. The staff is delightful; efficient, honest and humble - rare to find these days. The owner is a stellar photographer and could be a great asset for wildlife shooting inside the park. Everything from the menu is excellent, the Dal Bhat was among the best I've had.

Super impressed with this place. Had a great time doing the walking safari. Came across a Rhino! Pracash was an excellent guide. He wanted to see the animals just as much as me so he made sure to put us in the best places to find them. Also, extremely affordable place which is also a bonus.

We took the budget double room and we stayed there for 8 days! All rooms have bathrooms attached with hot shower which is great !
The outside areas are very chill and a nice place to take a rest in between safaris
we did 3 Walking safari with Baba, the owner, and it was amazing! He is passionate about the jungle and about the animals and he will always do his best for you to see the most you can!
It would have been nice if the staff had asked if we wanted the room cleaned and the towels changed since we stayed 8 days, but we didn’t ask for it either

BEST PLACE EVER!
I was reccomended Wild Planet from a friend who spoke so highly about the place so I thought I would give it a go. My expectations were blown out of the water and I had one of the best experiences in my life!!
The owners Baba and Prakas are the most welcoming hosts you could ask for and they are the biggest advocates for the local environment and mother nature. Daily jungle walks where you can see Tigers, Rhinos and Elephants are super special and make you feel connected to the earth we live on. If you a reading this review I hope you take the opportunity to visit Wild Planet and Bardia national park as it is one of the purest places on earth. Everything about the place is just magical.
10 days wasnt long enough.

I dont know where to begin here. It was all perfect! The rooms were big and really clean. They have hot showers! The food was AMAZING! The best dhal bat we've had in Nepal. The staff are so friendly and go above and beyond to make sure you have a comfortable stay. They really treat you like family. We arrived by bus which got in at 5am, Baba was already there waiting for us with a local Tuk Tuk, to take us to the lodge. Our room was ready and so we were able to catch up on some sleep after an 18 hour bus ride from Pokhara!
We only planned on staying 4 nights but we were there for around 10/11 days in the end, the jungle walks are so exciting and the 3 guides, Baba , Prakesh and Shriva (I hope Ive spelt all their names right) really put so much time and effort into them. We were out from 6.30 - 5.30 every time. You really make the most of the days. We saw wild elephants and rhino on the walking tours ! Plus many birds and deer. The jeep safaris are also long days, but worth it - we saw a rare species of dolphin, and a tiger!!
Honestly we just felt so welcomed and at home here. Thank you so much to everyone at Wild Planet Eco Lodges for making our trip to Bardia unforgettable.

I loved my stay at wild planet eco retreat. Baba, his brother and the rest of the staf welcome you with a warm heart and make sure you have a good time. It was a great experience to go on the safari with them, even I didn’t see a tiger. Their love for the park and the tiger is contagious. They are the best guides! Also a very good place to just relax and discover de the villages.

I had a wonderful time at Wild Planet Eco Retreat thanks to Baba and his staff. Great service, delicious food, laidback vibe, beautiful scenery surrounding the accommodation, birdwatching is just too easy in this place, plus add the possibility to enter Bardiya National Park which starts just opposite the accommodation! I had great conversations with Baba who is a knowledgeable nature conservationist and much fun in the evenings with his staff and he. Thank you my friend, I will be back!

If you are looking for somewhere to stay near Bardiya National park this is the place. I don't often write reviews but some things are just too good not to share.
So what makes this place so special? It's true that the location is good and the rooms are charming.. but as with most things it's the people that make it extra special. Never have I met a warmer, more accomodating team. When you wake up early to head into the park, you are met by hot tea and grins of excitement.. these guys are so passionate about nature and they really love to share it with you. Unlike some guides who are only focused on tigers or rhinos these guys will show you it all. They are extremely knowledgeable and are constantly pointing out things you might otherwise miss. When you meet other groups in the park you can tell all the other guides really respect Baba.. they are always looking to him for guidance or asking about his most recent tiger sighting.
You know that feeling when you're out for dinner somewhere new and when the food comes you realise you've nailed it and ordered the best thing on the menu.. and you can feel everyone else looking at your food feeling slightly jealous? Being out with these guys is a bit like that!
The fun doesn't end at the park gates... the whole team are really welcoming and in the evening they will invite you to sit round the fire swapping stories. Baba told me all about the education work he is doing to try and help reduce human wildlife conflict (a real problem in the area) and it feels good to be supporting a family run business with such strong commitment to conservation and the local community.
As for all the other stuff, like picking you up from the airport or helping you out with ATMs they are great there too... there really isn't anything I could fault this place on... But it's their passion and commitment that won my heart.
The only thing I didn't like about this place was the fact I had to leave..
I will definitely be back

This place is truly a retreat. It is so peaceful.
Baba and his family/staff are incredibly efficient and kind and friendly. The food was delicious, fresh and local. We were a big group with lots to celebrate and they helped us every step of the way. Even getting a cake for us! They really go above and beyond.
Our group went on two excursions through the jungle - rafting and a jeep tour. Baba and his crew make the experience a lot of fun. He is very passionate about the animals and nature. Ask him about conservationism and he will be happy to share.
Book this place, you will not regret it!
Cannot think of anything.

We love the staff, they told us many interesting stories about the area and wildlife, the food was very tasty as well and of course the walking safaris, we spot some amazing animals with the brother's help. Thanks for the staying and we would highly recommended it.

Bhawani g (Baba) , Prakash G , Sivaraj bhai were ready to help us anytime.
Bhawani (Baba) seems much worried about the conservation of tiger.🐅
🐅Though we didnt spot the tiger, the team had promised for the next time.🐅
They provide the amazing camera lens so that we could have an amazing photography.
Applause !! No marketed mineral water, pure filtrate water on their own😍
Fresh and hygienic food as if it was prepare in your own home.
The jungle trip fee could have been little bit cheaper.
