Firstly, I loved my stay at Calypso Boutique. The views were incredible, it was as pictured/advertised, and I will definitely return if I'm in Puerto Rico. The location was insanely peaceful because it's the other side of the cliff and not on the main shopping centre/bar side. It was so quiet, literally silent at times, and one day I even had the pool to myself! The bedroom was clean, comfortable and modern, there's a thermostat on the wall so you can set the room to whatever temperature you like. The kitchen has all the essentials and modern tech, and the bathroom was equally as good. The receptionist was really friendly and helpful. She ordered me a taxi the morning of my departure. It was also fairly priced. Thanks.

This is just being extremely picky, but I am a bit of a perfectionist so I thought I'd mention some things. In the apartment it had a few marks on the walls, and there were a few small bugs that I had to spray and dispose of (they provided bug spray so maybe this is a common thing in Puerto Rico). Outside the pool surround could do with a fresh coat of paint, and the flooring around the pool and shower was a little bit tired. It also does have a few steps (around 150) to get there, it's not too bad but if you can't deal with them that day then it's only around 4 euros from the beach and 5 euros from the main centre in a taxi. There are taxis and ranks everywhere, or you could rent a car, there's always space to park outside. Besides those minor 'flaws' I couldn't fault it, and like I said I would definitely return. Absolutely nothing. It wasn't for us after checking the location etc. We didn't see the room so cannot comment on the room at all.

The apartments are lovely, built less than 7 years ago, with modern basic facilities. The gym area and laundry facilities were a bonus. Great location with lovely restaurants nearby. Helpful staff who were able to respond to our questions very quickly. If not on site, messaging was also very responsive. It's not a major problem, but be prepared to climb up and down a few steps to get to the beach and restaurant areas. Or you can also walk up and down along the road, which is slightly further but more gentle.

Gorgeous rooms! 1st floor 202 Overlooking Pool Pool Area lovely, always got a sun bed. Sun from early morning till about 4.30pm (November) Down about 100 steps to supermarket , beautiful restaurants and 1 Irish bar. Taxis cheap. Lovely stay , will come again!
