Reviewer Comments: Upon arriving at the Waikiki Banyan we were greeted by a very friendly fellow in the parking garage who gave us excellent directions on what to do. You could certainly tell that overall the property as a whole is quite dated. Elevators ran very quickly considering the number of floors and we were on the 20th. Our unit was very clean and had everything that you would need for a short stay. The bathroom however, is quite dated and could use a refresh. The biggest issue was with the shower head that kept falling off!! We made it work as we didn’t want maintenance in while we were there. The faucet lever to fill the tub does not work so no way to have a bath. Also the sliding doors between living space and bedroom were off the track. The bed is super comfortable and we slept extremely well. Cushions for the outdoor chairs would be a nice added touch. Location in Waikiki is excellent...1 block from the beach but away from the noise. All in all a worthwhile expense. Management has been informed regarding the bathroom issues and we were told they would be sure to look into it.

I stayed here with my daughter. Check in was so easy. I appreciated be able to go straight to the room. Location was great to get to the beach and all the shops and around the island. We loved all the windows to see the city and the ocean.

Convenient location to all of Waikiki, easy check in and out, free parking was super helpful compared to every resort nearby, nice to have a full kitchen to save some money on meals too. Would stay again!

This is a great alternative to a hotel, but you get a bear hotel like experience. The elevators are slow sometimes. That’s the only negative thing I could say about the place. That’s a problem that’s impossible to fix, so deal with it.

Communication prior to trip on what to expect from the rental and Hawaii in general was clearly communicated by Capt Cook resorts. We easily found the unit and check-in was smooth. We found the unit moderately clean and tidy. Frankly a deep cleaning is needed. Kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, studio condo sufficient for our needs. We were able to locate a Safeway close and ABC stores for things required. A car here is a must!The location in Honolulu was fantastic! Only 1.5 blocks from Waikiki beaches and all the restaurants/stores. That was a plus.Parking garage had ample spaces on 3-5 levels. Felt safe. The door key from the garage to the elevators was open all days except 1 oddly enough since our concierge stated we would need to get into elevator lobby's. Elevators worked OK. There are 4 and with 30+ floors. Seemed like the last few days only 2 were working so at times wait times occured.The pool was good. Hot tubs could be warmer. We spent alot of time at Waikiki beach and the pool.They also had a samll general store and coffee shop. There was little noise(good). We had some problems getting TV to sync up between streaming and regular TV. Called our concierge and he stopped by Super Bowl Sunday to assist. Thanks Byron!Overall we enjoyed our stay.

This might be standard practice for many VRBO lessors but it is a little misleading. Bathroom is small but adequate. Bathroom sink being located outside of bathroom is also a small compromise. Fold away bed has slightly bent frame and takes a little technique to close ( push to left side of bed frame at top left corner of mattress as it is folding away). Trash trucks come in at 5:30 am to empty dumpsters from hotel across the street! If windows are closed you won’t hear it, but it woke me up several times. I realize this is out of the control of the owner but it is reality. Otherwise a great unit in a great location. Full kitchen, nice balcony, nice city view, a bit of ocean view, easy in and out, building has a convenience store, coffee shop and parking was easy and available, guest could also park temporarily which was nice. Oh and fireworks on Friday night! A good value and responsible management. Would rent again.

Close to everything, restaurants, ABC stores, etc... The parking is included which is a big plus for us. The unit has a number lock which is convenient to make sure you never have to worry about losing them. It has a full on kitchen equipped with everything you need. The problem we had staying here is that the bathroom door was stuck. It had one of those doors that slides in and out, and unfortunately it wasn’t functioning at, so Byron (the manager) had to improvise on getting us a curtain and curtain rod as a replacement, coz it wasn’t an easy fix for them and we didn’t people fixing anything while we’re on vacation. The bedroom door had the same issues as well, it wasn’t sliding in and out as it should be. Overall, we had fun in Hawaii, but would definitely stay in a another place next time.

We loved the location of this rental! Huge comfy king bed, in a separate room from living area and kitchen. Two blocks to both Waikiki Beach and shops, restaurants. Parking is easy (and included!). Property manage Byron was very responsive and helpful!

It was fine. A little smaller than we had really thought. Bathroom was tiny! Banged my elbow everytime lol!

This property is within walking distance to everything Waikiki has to offer. The condo has all the essentials you need and definitely gives you the home away from home feel. I'm not a fan of those fancy remote control toilet seats but thats just me. Lastly, the free parking is a big plus.

Extremely impressed with this unit. One of my top priorities is cleanliness and this unit exceeded my expectations! It was not only very clean but comfortable and had everything needed, including beach towels & chairs. Parking was a definite plus! Location was also ideal. Walking distance to both the beach and Waikiki strip. Had a memorable stay & highly recommend!

Fine apartment. Clean. Very good location. The only negative comment: the apart. lacks a bit of equipment. Me my Husband and our Daughter enjoy our stay in this condo.very clean and very nice location. We are really empress at the way the condo has been design we’re the mirror in the Bedroom enhance the beach view like you’re being surrounded by it the and especially you can see the fire in both direction. during the fireworks. The condo is fully equipped and have everything we needed. Instructions are self explanatory. Everything went well.
