Value for money was amazing. The breakfast buffet was nice, the place is really authentic and the bed and bedding were comfortable.

I was overwhelmed with the kindness and hospitality that I received. As a Senior traveler, I was ill prepared to navigate the steep steps and winding walkways of Matera. The Receptionist, Ms. Cinzia that met me was extraordinary! I cannot thank her enough for her assistance. She went above and beyond and really made my experience more than I ever would have discovered on my own. She took a personal interest and concern on my behalf. She even recommended the perfect restaurant experience for me!
The room was great, bed comfortable, shower hot, ample electrical outlets, tea kettle provided, refrigerator with water, Table w/ chairs, etc. Lovely piccolo collezione (breakfast) in the am... great! They were super helpful with my ridiculous luggage and all around could not have been any more accommodating!
Mainly, I did not know that there were 3 steep steps up into my room, right at the base of the entry door. Just a little scary to navigate without a handrail.

Le Vie Del Mosto is in an amazing location right in the heart of the sassi. We stayed in the White Suite and had Ana amazing terrace with a fantastic view. The staff is responsive to messages even if they are not at reception at all times. Overal it was a very comfortable stay.
Across from the White Suite by the back door of the restaurant Osteria L’Arco there is a tiny little street kitten named Marco who lives outside the back door. As of September 2023 he’s about 3 months old. If you’re an animal lover Marco is adorable and will love you forever if you give him food. The restaurant feeds him too but he’s a hungry little guy. He is pretty much always there directly across the front door to the White Suite so hopefully you get to meet Marco.
Just note that while booking.com says air conditioning the rooms do not have AC (at least the White Suite did not). Luckily it was partially in a cave so it stayed cool and we had no issues. Also note that the wine in the room is not free to drink, which was not made clear to us at checkin.

Very comfortable and clean room right in the old town.
Stepping out from the room takes you straight away into the Sassi, and its also few minutes walk to the city centre for having access to taxis.
The manager was very kind to organise and pack us breakfast as we were checking out earlier.
Beds and room temperature were really comfortable.

The size of the appartement and the service provided (shuttle-, luggage and information) was outstanding. The location was perfect: beach, bus and ferry in front of the apartment as well as some fine restaurants.

The room was clean. Cincia was very polite and helpful! The view was stunning. If you want to go for a walk after check out, they provide you a room and you can store your luggage.

The location and the balcony overlooking the old town made it very special! It was well located and an easy walk to restaurants and major tourist attractions. The breakfast was good and staff was friendly.
The parking was easy to find but a 10 minute walk from the residence, but worth the effort to stay in the old town.

The view from outside the room was stunning. The room although tight was laid out very practically. Shower was great. Staff wonderful and breakfast area amazing.

Super comfortable, super clean rooms. The location is perfect, it’s in the middle of the beautiful old town of the city. The hosts are helpful and nice. Totally recommend it.

The location is excelent, basically you can enjoy the amazing city view right from your bed. The hosts are really nice and helpful and they provide you a lot of recommendations regarding area attractions and restaurants. The bed was comfy, the design of the room is unique and you even have a light breakfast included.

One of the best place I have ever stayed. Really grabs the essence of the city. The only thing I missed is pot, knife and other kitchen stuff. I mean there is mini kitchen however it's not even possible to prepare a sandwich. Other then that it was amazing!!
