The staff was great, very helpful and friendly. The views of the lake are great, the bed was fairly comfortable. The private patio was really nice also. And the free kayaks were great as well.

The photos were a bit deceiving, it’s pretty outdated and they didn’t show photos from the specific room, so you don’t really know what you’re getting. Getting to the location and leaving was quite a hassle with it only being accessible by boats which only run until 730pm from Pana and only 530 pm coming back from San Marcos. Not to mention the corruption and over-charging by the boat operators. This is obviously out of their control, but some sort of explanation or warning would have certainly been helpful. The wifi password given for the room did not work, next day they gave us the correct one, and it worked but was extremely slow. Shower was luke-warm at best, never got hot. Lastly, prices for the restaurant seemed a bit much… our breakfast came to $30 for 2, needless to say we chose to skip dinner there. They also are doing renovations on some of the units so was quite noisy with construction during the day. Overall it wasn’t a bad experience, but I definitely would choose somewhere else next time for the price. I would not normally be so critical but when paying way above the average cost for a place to stay in the area, I am going to have high expectations.

Great views, very tranquil, lovely spacious apartment & terrace. Well equipped kitched. We enjoyed using the kayak and swimming off the dock (clean water in this part of the lake). Nice restaurant.

No daily room clean. Fine for 2 nights, but wouldn't have stayed longer. No staff around, so if felt like an airbnb.

Las habitaciones del hotel son muy bonitas, cómodas, limpias y con una vista increíble del lago, la ubicación es buena ya que está muy cerca de Panajachel, además de que se siente como un ambiente muy privado. El restaurante del lugar es muy rico con una muy buena atención por parte del personal y una vista preciosa a uno de los volcanes.

Un detalle que no me gustó fue el trato que se le daba a algunos de los colaboradores del lugar, ya que en algunos momentos me dio la impresión que se les hablaba de forma despectiva o altiva.

We came here after hiking Acatenango and it was the perfect spot to chill and heal our aching legs! The view from our apartment was beautiful and so serene. We got to hang out in the fire-burning wet sauna and natural hot tub that looked out over the water. It was also really nice to cook a few of our own meals in the kitchenette since the lake/water taxis stopped running around 6 pm. Buying groceries at the surrounding markets was a lot of fun. Everything about this property is perfection! Highly suggest booking if you would like a secluded, quiet location for your Lake Atitlan stay!

El espacio del lago donde se ubica Atitlan Sunset Lodge es un area privilegiada, y cada espacio del lugar es agradable, las vistas son increíbles. Y el acceso al lago para nadar, o hacer Paddle es excelente.

Amazing views from all parts of the property. Very chilled out and it felt super secluded and private. They have kayaks, paddle boards and a hot tub that you can use all free of charge. Would recommend walking to jaibalito - beautiful walk along the lakeside and can finish with a breakfast/lunch at el indigo.

Nothing we didn't like, but just be aware that you are very secluded and would either need to bring food with you or make a pre-booking at the restaurant. You would not be able to walk anywhere at night.

Atitlan Sunset Lodge is brilliantly located right on the lake with beautiful views all around it. The staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The food served in the restaurant was fresh and very tasty, even as a non vegan. The Lodge also provided kayaks and paddle boards which can be used free of charge which allows you to explore around the lake. Overall it was a lovely short stay at lake atitlan

Nothing major, however the room appeared to miss some basic amenities such as an iron, and the shower head was slightly loose which meant the water pressure in the shower wasn’t great.

It's the best place to crash at Atitlan, the Lake view is increadible, jacuzzi is just right to relax. They have vegan food and wine. Plus room service, since we stayed at the studio, I propose my girlfriend (now my wife), and privicy is Highly Appreciate The attention to detail is on point and it's a quiet place we slept like babies! Definitely a place to come back!!! ❤️

Maybe change check out time to 2pm but this is a beautiful place!

The staff was incredibly friendly. We met the owner and had cake with him for his birthday. He talked to us and gave us a free boat ride since he was on his way to Panajachel anyways. The view is incredible and the vegan dinners were delicious.

We were in grand apartment 1. There is an open shower and it smelled mildewy. I had trouble falling asleep because I'm sensitive to smells. We had to buy an incense to mask the smell. The kitchen smelled funny as well and you can tell that it's been a long time since it's been cleaned thoroughly. The bathroom next to the restaurant was under construction. They removed the construction sign even though it was still being worked on. My friend went in to find a surprise in the toilet.

The view is second to none. The best spot on the lake.

The bed was the hardest we’ve slept on and the pillows need replacing. We stayed in a Studio which has a beautiful bay window but unfortunately the room isn’t sealed so at night we got to share our room with a large spider, scorpion and too many flying ants to count.

The view is incredible and the cozy, rustic yet elegant feel of the place made it an amazing spot to relax and recover after a few days of intense work.

The view was fantastic! Beautiful spot on Lake Atitlan. The room was modern/clean/nice. The restaurant, when open, had a very good meal.

Problems included no hot water for shower and no staff onsite to address problem! And non-responsive owner. Way overpriced for a place without a shower and staff.

Beautiful view and private chef. The lodge was very accommodating we showed up early and they stored our suitcases until we checked in. We arranged for breakfast and dinners ! So good and we had a wonderful stay- very clean! we really liked the porch with a built in lounge/ bed! My daughter worked remotely and the Wi-Fi was great! We explored all of the villages around the lake- each one had its own personality! Very easy to catch a lancha from the dock! We really liked San Marcos and San Juan! Each lancha is 25 Qu per person wherever you are going! Easy to get around the lake! Each lancha is about every 15 minutes! The small village of Santa Cruz is a short walk away! make sure to take a tuktuk to the main town.- it is a long , hot walk! We really enjoyed the CeCap for lunch!

The window seat is absolutely beautiful and has amazing sunset views!

Unfortunately this place had the absolute worst customer service we ever experienced! The owner keeps blaming all faults on being a third world country, even though we have not experienced any of these issues anywhere else in Guatemala (or the rest of Latin America for that matter)... Here are a few examples: for half the time of our trip we had no electricity, this meant no light, food going bad in the fridge and no internet. We found 3 scorpions on two different occasions. The owners reaction was a sexist comment that my boyfriend as the "man" should just have taken care of it. The hot tub was not working 3 out of 6 nights. We made a reservation for the sauna, only to be waiting outside in our bathing suits and towels to be told they forgot. There is also no-one ever around to help with these issues.

the main wifi was not very good (wifi in our room worked well) but the wife around the main areas was weak and often I couldn’t connect.

Views over the lake are fantastic, very quiet.

Beautiful location right on the water, quiet and peaceful. Water taxi service runs constantly to reach all of the villages around the lake.

Everything was great. Potential guests should be aware that it is not a hotel, but apartments, with lots of stone stairs.

Really nice one night stay in the tree house room. Wish it could have been longer but not available. Large room upstairs and also a full kitchen and dining area downstairs, as well as a nice terrace. Super peaceful and so nice to be right above the lake with great views. Would recommend to others and would suggest 2-3 nights

Unfortunately the restaurant was closed on our one night there, we weren’t aware till after booking.. Not a huge deal and we would have booked anyway, the the restaurant experience sounds very nice

Great location on the lake with incredible views. The building is beautiful and situated in such a way that you have excellent privacy. Staff were great and eager to help in any way and the dinner was phenomenal.

It's a bit far from the town so just know if you're wanting to visit Santa Cruz la Laguna you have about a 20 minute walk. That said, it's a beautiful walk along the lake and really quite enjoyable.
