The whole set up of the hotel, Breakfast and the location are great.

The pool is way too cold when it’s windy and not above 30 degrees. They are not able to heat it up so kids can’t stand longer then a few minutes in the pool.

The property was really nice - the design, the feel. Well thought through, serene, eco-friendly, the accommodation was spacious with all you really need. The food was really nice too.

we were given a room with a faulty fridge & freezer (that was already faulty prior, as it turns out) and the staff didn’t really address it (I had to talk to reception twice because for 6 h or so they didn’t do anything about it), there was no compensation for the food that got spoiled etc. I wouldn't expect a place like this to be treating guests this way...

location, accommodation, spa facilities and staff were wonderful.

some of the larger furniture, ie sofas, were too deep to sit comfortably. it was very difficult to get a good constant temperature in the shower, pressure wasn’t great. the restaurant lunch and dinner menu, which was the same, was not 5 star quality and therefore very overpriced. breakfast was excellent. there was a set meal with estrela option which no one mentioned until our last night, when we had had a larger lunch while out exploring

Floor of the outdoor pool was not clean. Indoor pool could be warmer.

Fantastic location only a short drive to the nearest beach. Great facilities, especially the combination of an outdoor, indoor pool and modern gym facilities. The yoga studio is also fantastic and the hotel does a great job partnering with yoga instructors to organise yoga retreats. Picturesque setting, overlooking rice fields and perfect sundowner spot to take in the sunset. Room was v spacious and facilities were great, include the use of a kitchenette if needed.

The quality of the food for lunch and dinner was not aligned with the general standard the hotel seems to be targeting. To be clear, the breakfast buffet is brilliant with good produce and lots of choice, however the menu based lunch and dinner sittings don’t seem up to standard. In particular, the dishes seem overpriced adjusted for quality, which is a let down as the restaurant setting is very impressive and could do with more refined cuisine. Not advocating for Michelin grade standing but we dined at the nearby restaurant 5 mins walk from the hotel one evening which provided a very relaxed setting, great food and much better value for money.

while each employee was very nice and willing to help the overall service is very subpar . ***one night the fire alarm woke us up at 2am and lasted for 30 min of insane noise. ***we were staying with a baby and used the “ do not disturb sign “ during her naptime…. but somehow housekeeping kept barging in, front desk calling to ask if the gardeners could come through ( waking the baby every time ) . I asked every other day to stop calling ir stop coming in when the red sign was there but somehow they kept doing it again the next day . maintenance in the afternoon did a lot of noise above our room ***heated pool in the spa was no more than 24 degree ( I asked many times to heat it more ) ***everyday no more towels at the pool after 5.30 pm *** restaurant is average and ridiculously overpriced (4€ fir filtered tap water . 26€ for poor and badly cooked burger with 9 fries )

The aesthetics of the property are absolutely beautiful. The design is super cool and the surroundings are lovely. The spa is fabulous. I had two wonderful treatments in three days. Huge beds!! Amazing bath! Breakfast was outstanding — lots of choice and delicious. They have bikes for rent so if you don’t have a car like I didn’t you can use those to get to the beach which I really recommend.

Some of the staff were great while others were a little lacking. For instance, I found a big bone in my fish at dinner and while the waiter briefly apologised, I wasn’t offered any kind of compensation like complimentary dessert. Also, during the daytime around the pool it was so difficult to get a drink. You had to go inside to look for staff most of the time just to order. I also had room service one evening and paid an extra €15 on top of the usual restaurant price (which is already high). The food in the restaurant was okay, but not worth the money. I’ve eaten much better elsewhere for less.

There were lots of children which we weren't expecting outside of the school holiday season. They were jumping in and out of the pool and generally quite loud and rowdy as you would expect of children by a pool - however not what we were expecting of a 'wellness resort' . We had a young family staying in the room above ours and were woken every morning without fail at 6am by the baby screaming. I think a separate pool area/section of the resort for families and children would be useful. There is a juxtaposition between the marketing of what the hotel offers and the reality which at time feels hectic. The service in the restaurant was very varied. Some mornings we waited over 30 mins for the wrong coffee order to arrive. Our toiletries were not replaced in our room over a week stay. One day our room was not cleaned until after 5pm

pool had algae growing in it. deferred maintenance everywhere.
