Enjoyed our stay very much. House worked well for our extended family of 7. Covered deck was a hit when the weather changed. Frequent visits to Bemus and walks to the ice cream shack made the week complete.

Everything was GREAT. We had such a good time that we went on line to re-up for next year and saw the huge price increase. WOW......

Great house, great host, great everything. First off I have to say that it was a very special stay this time. We have been coming to the lake for 30 years and this year was something different as we lost MOM recently. The lake was her favorite place to be with her family and Elizabeth couldn’t have been a better host for this. Everything is provided. Kitchen stuff that you wouldn’t even think of, outside chairs, kayaks, bikes, etc. is all there. The dock is beautiful and the deck addition is perfect. I am glad we were able to dedicate her life this week at a house like this. You won’t be sorry with this property. Cheers!

Elizabeth’s rental was absolutely perfect! CLEAN, COMFORTABLE, AND THOUGHTFUL!! The location is amazing and she has stocked the home with everything you need! From extra blankets and pillows, to board games and cleaning supplies. She had it all!! We were a family of five and we will certainly be returning! 4 minutes from Southern Tier Brewery and distillery and 6 minutes to The Chautauqua Institute! And that lake view… we loved every minute of it!! Thank you for a relaxing fall weekend getaway!! It was just what we all needed!

This home is absolutely perfect with so many personal touches and gorgeous decor! Many vacation rentals leave you scrambling to the store for necessities but not this beautiful home. There was dish soap, k cups, spices, cooking oil, plenty of high quality towels, etc. The view from the family room is so lovely. We had a wonderful stay and definitely plan to stay again!

We have stayed ay many VRBO homes across the nation and by far, this one is among the best. Communications with the host were outstanding. The home was so nicely appointed with very nice furniture, lovely accent touches, and color schemes. And importantly, is was so clean. All of these gave us the feeling of being at home and comfortable. And reciprocally, we wanted to make sure we left the home exactly like we found it, and ultimately take good care of everything in it during our stay. The views of the Lake are so beautiful. Even though the weather was crummy and we could not take advantage of the amenities (kayaks, bikes, a covered deck, outdoor tables and chairs, firepit), we still enjoyed every minute. We would highly recommend the Blue Heron Cottage!

We enjoyed our stay and amenities. We explored the area. We visited several local museums, hiked trails and climbed rocks, golfed, explored Presque Isle , tried out the SkyCoaster in Ellicottville , kayaked, read books and rested. Great location for a launch pad into Western NY and North PA. Lovely rental opportunity.

This is the second year we have enjoyed a vacation at the Blue Heron Lakehouse. We really enjoy everything about it. Clean, delightfully decorated, so many amenities, right on the lake with 2 kayaks included (bikes also although we didn't use). Such a restful place to enjoy Chautauqua Lake.

The house is very nice, good location, easy to go to restaurants and supermarkets. We enjoy the beautiful lake view, owner provides bikes,kayaks and some outdoors toys, very good for family activities. House inside is very clean, and cozy,has enough supplies.Happy with this place.Thank you !

We booked and paid one yr in advance. We chose the property because it was close to friends. We had friends over when we checked in prior to going out to dinner by boat. This is strictly forbidden! . I was expected to know this based upon fine print from one yr prior even though I had never run into this issue on prior rentals. I was told to comply and I did. After dinner friends returned by boat and gathered their stuff and left. My wife and I went to bed. I woke to a message from the night before kicking me out. I explained it was only my wife and I there. Others were not there and we are complying. She accepted this and said don’t break my rules again or disrespect my property An hour or so later , she sent me two separate pics of myself from her ring doorbell. I had two different outfits on and she said that was proof that I had other guests there. I called her to explain and she refused to believe me and she evicted me She also refused to give me a refund. I lost my money and my vacation. She is not fair and Vrbo so far hasn’t helped me out at all.

Love the beautiful update to the deck including wooden craftsmanship of the floor, the new fan, and the extension of the deck to the front of the lake house. The grandchildren thought the new color-changing lights on the dock were pretty cool.

This was our first trip to Chautauqua Lake and this house in Lakewood couldn't have been more perfect. Set right off the main road (but wasn't noisy) and directly across from an ice cream store, it was super convenient. 3 bedrooms and 2 baths were more than enough comfort for our family of 4. The covered side porch was amazing, the 2 hammocks, fire pit and of course the private dock also made our week amazing. Everything around the lake was easily accessible with Jamestown area being about 15 mins away to the east and Mayville about 20 to the west. Bemus point was also quickly accessed from this location. House was nicely stocked for visitors, kitchen had ample counter space as well as 2 coffee makers (drip and Keurig). There is a window a/c in every bedroom AND Living room (don't miss this one as we did because we didn't open the curtains on that side until day 5 haha). However the house stayed very comfortable without a/c also. Quiet area, neighbors pleasant and welcoming. Plenty of parking in front driveway. Exiting driveway can get a little tricky during rush hour, but it was a minimal issue for us. Owners provided 2 bicycles and 2 kayaks for use, but we didn't utilize either. Yard space was great for our kids to play. Plenty of seating on porch and around yard. Definitely will want to stay here again for our next trip to Chautauqua Lake.

We had a wonderful time this past week. The Lakehouse was clean and so comfortable. We loved everything it had to offer. Best lake View, clean access to swimming, kayaking , great dock for sitting and fishing… beautiful fire pit…we sat out quite late enjoying the lake. We all sleep well…best ever! Wonderfully maintained well appointed. Kitchen well stocked. Included lots of towels and linens. Crib is great place to tie up boat. Excellent location close to shopping. Ice cream shop across the street was frequently visited. Owner was very attentive to our every need. Really enjoyed our stay.

This place delivered on the views and location and the house was very clean and had everything we needed. Especially enjoyed the decor it was nicely done. We did run into an outdoor issue that was beyond our control and only reason for not rating with 5 stars but over all was a great relaxing birthday weekend.

Wanted to find a place with a great view and in close proximity to my wife's favorite brewery for her birthday celebration, and we picked a perfect spot! The house had a panoramic view of the lake from the living and main bedroom, as well as a mile drive to Southern Tier Brewing. The house was also fully stocked with any and all personal needs that may be forgotten at home. Highly recommend. Next time I will need to bring our boat!

Had a view of the lake from the moment we stepped out of the car and it only got better from there. The house is beautifully decorated in a nautical theme and was so comfortable. There were several comfortable spaces, actually, from the living room to the deck seating and the comfy and colorful Adirondack chairs around the fire pit. We would definitely book this home again. This lake home was delightfully decorated. It was great to be right on the lake with a private dock. Enjoyed the kayaks and the hammocks. So many amenities provided for guests. We brought a lot of items which we didn't need because they were provided! Lot's of thoughtful touches in this home. Elizabeth was very responsive to our questions prior to our visit. We definitely plan to book this home again.
