The location is really great...lower floor unit with direct access to Breakwater way that leads directly to the Strand and the beach. The beach is literally a 2 minute walk. The large patio is much better than the upstairs units with balconies because you have more room and direct access to just walk out. Here's the bad thing about the location: because it is located right at the end of the Strand, the frontage one way road that runs parallel to the beach, you have vehicles going past ALL DAY AND NIGHT LONG. And for some reason a lot of them are blaring music, gunning their engines as they make the turn and just in general being pretty obnoxious. Also, this end of the Oceanside beach, (about a 15 min walk from the pier) is not super glamorous. There are public restrooms right as you hit the beach from Breakwater and many days there were quite a few homeless folks hanging out there, going through the trash, etc. But the beach itself is lovely and was never too crowded to find a place to make our camp. The unit itself is nicely appointed with an updated well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. Beds were comfortable and linens and towels were fine. The furnishings are definitely older in the main living area but they were clean and the unit had plenty of room for 4 adults (my husband and our two grown kids). The decor throughout the unit is odd. Like, most beach rentals really go in on the "beach" theme and while this unit had a bit of that, it also had some odd choices and things that looked like they just grabbed from a garage sale. It didn't bother us at all, but if you're picky about high end or modern decor you definitely have to be prepared. North Coast Village is a MASSIVE property with many amenities. This unit is not really part of the main, towering condo-type rooms, but much easier to get in and out of whether you were walking or driving. It was a great stay and we'll be back!

This was a great location... close but not too close to the strand where you hear everything while you are trying to sleep. The only thing we were disappointed in was all the closets that we couldn't use because they were owner occupied, especially in the kitchen. We only had one and a half closets to use.

Great stay! We love to stay at North Coast Village and buildings C and D are the best, especially first floor units. C7 is one of them. We love the beautiful patio that leads directly to the beach. The unit was great size for our family of 5. Beds were very comfortable, with plenty linen and towels. Will definitely stay again in the future!

The condo was great for our family to have the space we needed in close proximity to the beach. Back patio is steps from the beach! A small drawback for us was the lack of a boogie board, beach toys and beach wagon. Also it would have been nice to be able to lock and unlock the back slider door with a key to have easier access to go to and from the beach. Other than that, it was a very nice place!

I wasn’t able to get a condo in the same building as my other family members this year so I stayed in C-7 Dolphin Dreams this year. It is SO close to the beach and it was very clean. What was unusual compared to all the other condos we’ve rented over the years is that decor is older and looks like mismatched garage sale purchases, there is very little in the way of small appliances and bakeware available to renters as most of the kitchen cabinets are locked. Beach chairs and umbrellas are rusted from being stored outside in an unlocked storage bin. Overall, the stay was comfortable but not what I’m used to compared to other condos I’ve rented at NCV.

This was a great place to stay - close to the beach, very clean and comfortable, and all the amenities of North Coast Village (pool, hot tub, game rooms, etc.). We will come back again.

There are no beach toys anymore, there always was so we didn't bring ours. Last suggestion is to upgrade the mattresses in the guest room they are very uncomfortable. Overall, we love the unit and will return, just on a lengthy stay those are some things I noticed.

These seem like first-time renters who made some obvious mistakes: * No key to back door: Yes! you're near the beach, but the front door doubles distance to the beach, adds stairs, and a security gate. * Men were landscaping & repainting within 5 feet of our patio half of the days we were there: I suspect we got unlucky, but be aware if you plan on choosing this apt for the outside. * You feel a bit unwelcome: There is so much storage, but half of it is locked: kitchen cabinets locked, storage closets locked. Bedroom closet locked. I suspect some things (measuring cups & spoons) we're accidentally locked up. In addition there are a lot of personal photos? Didn't bother us, but strange choice for a rental. * Fireplace didn't work - not a problem if mentioned in the listing, but just a note in case you were looking forward to this feature. * Gave wrong keys to mgmt, so we had trouble checking in. We really enjoyed our stay. Plenty of space for 3 kids and 2 adults. Didn't even use the pull out sofa in the living room. Only downside was check in. They did not have our reservation and we had to show our booking and wait for them to find us. They were very kind about it, but never fun to worry you don't have a place to stay after driving all day to get there.
