Everything was amazing Debbie Thomas and Chris are a credit to your hotel. Amazing hotel amazing rooms massive bath. From the minute we walked in to check in we was made to feel extremely welcome we didn't want to check out so booked an extra night. We will be back without a doubt Thank you

Everything perfect

It was an amazing experience so chilling and peaceful we didn't want to go home . All the staff went above and beyond their duties but mostly the manager tum so welcoming . My hubby is a fussy eater but Tim got something from the kitchen for him to eat not on the menu so thank you for that . The rooms are period drama based . It actually felt has tho you was in downtown abbey or Bridgerton . Bathroom massive. Bed super deluxe king .

stayed 1st Jan - 2nd Jan the staff that were on shift with us (I think his name was Tim who served us and night porter chris ) made the whole experience so much better and they were just so friendly and chatty it was Lovely to talk about the history of the building and they both did everything for us during our stay so special Thankyou to them

Quite remote so very peaceful. Lovely room, great food, open fires burning warm cosy cannot speak highly enough of it. Will definitely be going back

this is a magnificent property , being lovingly brought back to its Victorian / Edwardian time. the work done over the last 10 years on amazing and the rooms are beautiful.

Fabulous place and the staff were amazing!

Generally very helpful and accommodating staff who were lovey to our son and took the time to make us feel very welcome and valued

Substandard and bad value food served for dinner. Fire did not draw properly and was constantly burning leading to very smoky corridors and even, bedrooms

Beautiful historic building. Beautifully decorated inside with all original features. Fabulous breakfast and great staff.

Grand old building, would have been amazing in its day. Staff were helpful. Parking was good. Bed queen size and comfy.

Poor decorative order in places. Safety issues (speaking as a H&S professional). Shower looked great but didn't have any pressure so was a dribble. No shutters, so had to use very heavy ornamental /show curtains. No window dressing in bathroom, no obscure glazing, so aware that could be seen from outside after dark. Breakfast shown as £5.95 on booking.com but was either £17 or £25 and definitely not worth that, although setting was grand. Poor refreshments in room. Grounds not grand, featuresless. Definitely lacking investment. No lift so only attend if able to use many staircases. No help with luggage.
