The breakfast offered by the friendly staff was excellent for beginning the day. The staff was friendly during my stay in Kassel. The location of the hostel is excellent. I like the architecture of the hostel along with the comfort of the bed in the room that I occupied during my stay in Kassel.

Wi-fi absolutely sucks!!! Had to request to move to another room, for the first one just didn't hold the signal at all. And even in the other one, pretty close to the repeater, simple light stuff like sending an e-mail was painfully slow or impossible.

Very roomy almost apartment size double room. It even had a 3rd bed in a separate alcove. The room was clean, and the two single beds together were comfortable. Breakfast was simple but with a good range of choice.

No air-conditioning. It was a hot day's stay with two portable ventilators, the nights were very warm. Our room was on the 4th floor and the lift only went to the 3rd floor so two extra flights of stairs.

Quite friendly staff. The bed was comfortable. Hair dryer available on request only. The location seems bad at first, but is close to center. There was a problem with payment, booking.com did not connect to my paypal as they should have, but staff trusted me to solve it.

Only 4 parking spots of which staff takes one! The curtains do not cover the entire wall, waking you up early from the light. There was some hustling (drug sale) going on at night on the parking lot. The smoke detector in the hallway was missing.

The traffic on the street was heavy, the room on the front side was very noisy. Closing the window solved that, but I prefer to sleep with window open.

Ask for a quiet room. And apart from there being no internet (for me personally a great problem as I came to report Documenta, the art manifestation) the place was okay.

The noise from the street is overwhelmingly loud all day, so we couldn't dare to open the windows on hot summer days.
