Chose this hotel for one night because a public transport ticket in VRR was included in the price and while booking, saw the option of a washing machine as I was sponatiously travelling with a light backpack and needed to do laundry. Breakfast was included in the price as well, which was okay. There was also a drayer in the laundry/public kitchen room.

No closet or hanging places in the room. This trip I travelled a lot in different cities and booked rooms in the same price range, this was the most empty room. Asked for the wifi password in the reception and was told to find it in a black folder that was supposed to be in the room, even that was missing. Hallways and some other places need renovation. Wasching machine is on the fifth floor, no booking slots, you can use if it is free. Need to use your own laundry liquid, you can buy a small container in the Rossmann across street.

Pysähdyin lomamatkalla Wuppertalissa kuvatakseni kaupungin poikkeavaa liikennevälinettä Schwebebahnia. Hotellin sijainti on loistava päärautatieaseman vieressä.

Suihku ei pysynyt telineessään. Vessa hieman ahdas 185cm pitkälle rotevalle miehelle. Käytävästä kuuluu äänet huoneeseen.

Lage: Die Lage ist superzentral. Einkaufsstraße(n), Bahnhof, Schwebebahnzustieg - alles unmittelbar am Hotel. Parkhäuser rundum mit kurzem Fußweg (Tipp: auch Contipark Parkhäuser mit PCard+ Angebot - halbiert die Parkkosten ;-)) Dauerticket für Bus und Bahn (auch Schwebebahn) für die Zeit des Aufenthaltes im Preis enthalten. :) Team/Service: Das gesamte Team war sehr herzlich, hilfsbereit und servicestark. Mein Rentnerhündchen wurde nicht nur geduldet, sondern herzlichst aufgenommen. Zimmer/Sauberkeit/Ausstattung: Ich bin nicht pingelig, allein schon weil ich mit Hund reise. Hinsichtlich Sauberkeit des Zimmers (inkl. Bad) ist mir nichts negativ aufgefallen. Alles war ordentlich und sauber. TV auf kleinem Schreibtisch, 2 Stühle, Papierkorb, Kommode mit 3 großen Schubladen und Kleiderstange, Haartrockner, Seife/Shampoo und Mülleimer im Bad. Alles funktional und ordentlich. Meine Highlights: die großen Fenster die den Raum am Tag gut belichten und natürlich das riesige, gemütliche Bett. Auf Nachfrage wurde mir auch sofort ein Wasserkocher aufs Zimmer geliefert. Ganz besonders möchte ich nochmal Danke für die spontane und wirklich kurzfristige Gassi-Aushilfe sagen, als ich nicht rechtzeitig von der Arbeit weg konnte - auch im Namen des Rentnerhündchens: Herzlichen Dank.

Mich hat nichts wirklich gestört. Und wenn, hätte ich mich sicherlich an das Team wenden können. ;-) Aber was noch schön wäre (kommt ja vielleicht noch, da die Zimmer wohl gerade nach und nach modernisiert werden): ein paar Kleiderhaken an Tür oder Wand für Jacken/Handtasche. (Die in der halboffenen Kommode-Schrankkombi integrierte Stange konnte/wollte ich nicht nutzen, da die Kommodenfläche mir gleichzeitig als Tisch diente. Ich hätte beim auf- und abhängen meines Parkas sicherlich alles Mögliche von der Ablage gefegt (Tassen, Teller, Flaschen...).

Great location and close to everything. Excellent Breakfast. Clean and Fresh and staff were very helpful and welcoming. Bonus tickets for the train added to the experience.

Everything was fine

Preiswert und in bester Lage direkt am Bahnhof, in der Innenstadt und sehr nah am Von der Heydt-Museum. Bei einem nächsten Mal würde ich mir in der kalten Jahreszeit gleich eine zusätzliche Woll- oder zweite Decke erbitten.

Leider stand das VRR-Ticket nicht wie zugesagt bereits ab dem frühen Morgen des ersten Aufenthaltstages zur Verfügung, sondern erst ab Mittag.

We got free tickets for public transportation for all days of our stay! And not only for Wuppertal but the whole region (VRR). It was an excellent surprise for us, we used them a lot to travel around.

The elevator could be larger and cleaner - but it's not a big issue.

the room of my latest stay was on second floor, rather tiny and quite noisy. bed way too soft for my taste. overall a decent package and worthwhile

I am very happy with my stay at Hotel Astor! Superb Location, Supporting staff, Clean Room. Very comfortable for the business traveler. The train station is like at a Door step! Well placed! right close to restaurants, mall and all day to day shops. I will surely re-visit this hotel in near future.

A pleasant stay, fairly cheap. Staff was friendly, and the Schwebebahn is right around the corner. The area around the Hotel (Schlossbleiche) now is friendly and clean. This used to be quite different.

There was no double bed, but two fairly light-weight single beds that were moved together. in the night, both beds would slide away from each other - not good if you are staying as a couple. We did not have a view to the rooftops of the curches sadly. If you are in the uppermost rooms facing away from the Schwebebahn station, the view is really scenic.

Just a good hotel, fine for the price, small but good shower, soft beds but fine, good breakfast with fresh bread.

A bit crowded but usable bathroom, small spaces used to the max. Not disturbing, especially not for this price.

Google Maps sends a few false trails out if you're travelling by car because the hotel is on the edge of a pedestrian zone and if you approach from the east you get led into a dead end. Breakfast was sadly unimaginative. There is meat other than pork............

Great value for money here! The hotel is located at walking distance to the Hauptbahnhof, the Wuppertal Schwebebahn and the center of the town. The rooms are simple but really clean. There is an extensive breakfast buffet included in the room price. Which is really great for this price! Staff is very friendly and helpful with questions.
