We really enjoyed our stay and it worked out great for us to enjoy time with extended family that came to visit us while there. The house has great light and beautiful views And was very homely.

Our family visited Liverpool for the weekend and loved our stay. Amazing views and super clean home. Julie was very attentive and responded to all our requests and needs. The home was clean and tidy with many amenities. Coffee maker and plunger coffee pot with some treats left for us on the counter. TV with most of the streaming services available. Bedding and towels as well as soaps and hair shampoo. Washing machine available too. Location was perfect for our needs. Shops nearby and town a short Uber ride away.

We booked this property as home base while traveling between family & friend gatherings in Blackpool, Liverpool, and Manchester. The sweeping views of the sea and sounds of the ocean were spectacular. The house was spotless and beautifully decorated. Julie was an attentive and responsive host. She provided the most lovely welcome basket and little touches throughout the house which made us feel welcome and pampered. We highly recommend it and will be back if our travels bring us back to the Liverpool area again!

The house certainly lived up to its billing. Based on the listing, we anticipated and experienced a truly outstanding stay. The house was clean, bright, roomy, and extremely welcoming. It had everything we needed. We were impressed by out hosts' welcome and with how they ensured our requirements were met throughout the stay. We are a family with children who had a fantastic stay in this lovely house. Plenty of space, fully equipped kitchen, a big garden and a fantastic sea view. Perfect location to go to beach and close to train station that easily takes you to central Liverpool. Julie and Steve are great landloards who can help or give suggestions for restaurants and other things to see during your visit. We are looking forward to come back.

We booked this, pretty much last minute, as a base to explore Liverpool and the surrounding area from. We’re so glad we did! We had a lovely, friendly welcome from the owner Julie, who was so helpful during our stay, thank you 🌟, ………and the welcome pack was the best we’d ever seen! Every aspect of the property is excellent. It is clean, warm, tastefully decorated, well equipped. It has good Wi-Fi ( a must if, like us, you have teenagers) It is wonderfully spacious, light and airy with stunning views out to sea. You would certainly never tire of the view which takes in Anthony Gormley’s “Another Place” sculptures and the Welsh hills can also be seen on the horizon. Walks along the long sandy beach are a must! Liverpool is a 20 to 30 minute drive away ( depending on traffic) and there is cheap all day parking at King Park across the road from Wapping Dock. We have no hesitation in highly recommending this beautiful cottage as a place to stay, so much so that we would love to come back again in the future.

One of the best experiences we have had when booking accomodation. Travelling from Brisbane, Australia to visit our home town of Liverpool for a few weeks, the whole process was faultless. The initial booking reservation, the beautiful house in a fabulous location to checking out, Julie was the perfect host and extremely accomodating in meeting our needs as a family. Even the welcome pack was such a lovely gesture when you don’t have the initial supplies. All in all we had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back to stay when we are next in Liverpool. We had a wonderful stay in this gorgeous house. The perfect location, huge outdoor space, view of the sea and luxurious interior. The sunsets were stunning, ship watching became a new pass time as we watched the ships sail to and from Liverpool with a glass of fizz on the patio. Julie was the perfect host, greeting us on arrival and making sure we had everything we needed. We would highly recommend this beautiful house if you are planning a trip away. It has everything you need and more. Simply beautiful.

We loved our stay at Crosby. A super comfortable house, decorated to the highest standards and with every comfort we could think off. The house is very handy to drive into Liverpool, with the train station just a short walk away if also needed. Shops are just a few minutes drive away for any shopping, albeit Julie our host, as well as giving us a very warm welcome in person had also left a lovely welcome hamper with some essentials and goodies too. We would love to come back another time, and hopefully get the same unbelievable weather. We would totally recommend this property and hope you have as much fun there as we had

We stayed here as a group of 6 adults and we all found the house to be great , lots of space , clean fresh and airy the views are amazing . The house has everything you need and even if it didn’t Julie would help out straight away . Thank you for having us if we was looking for a house for 6 again we would Hesitate in booking here 😊

We returned to Crosby to have a family holiday. The Garden and beach were excellent and better than we remembered from a previous visit. The property was perfect for all of us. We will definite return as my 5 year old loved that he could get to the beach in minutes and play sport in the garden. We couldn’t ask for more and Julie and Steve were there for every need we had. Nothing was too much trouble. Excellent break and I’d recommend it to anyone!!

What a a great weekend we had staying at this property. The accommodation was fantastic, felt like a luxury hotel but with a homely feel, the best of both worlds!!! The views of the sea are amazing, it was so peaceful and relaxing watching the sunsets & the many ships sail in & out of the docks. We can’t wait to hopefully visit again at some point in the near future.

Our family had a wonderful time here. It has stunning views of the sea and Gormley's statues. The location is very quiet and peaceful with just a few minutes walk to the beach. The house is beautiful and immaculately kept. The host is also very welcoming and helpful. All essentials are provided (bedding, towels, toiletries, breakfast cereals, milk, bread etc) for a truly wonderful break. There are fantastic golf courses nearby and lots of lovely restaurants to dine in. We really can't recommend this enough!

Internally modern, spacious yet still charismatic property just far enough away from the beach to be peaceful even on a busy bank holiday. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others and hope to find the opportunity to visit again.

We held a family gathering at this beautiful property in our home city of Liverpool. Three generations came from 4 different countries. The place is just perfect- the views are exceptional. The house is well equipped and spotless. The decor, furnishings and appliances are all high end and better than most holiday lets and the owners could not have been more helpful. The logistical challenges of coordinating this family gathering during the pandemic were made so much easier by Julie's flexibility. She allowed us to change our original booking (during lockdown) for a later date at no charge. The wonderful large garden meant we could socially distance with relatives staying elsewhere and the whole holiday was just perfect. Could not recommend Gabel Cottage highly enough!
