The best staff ever...very helpful indeed

Friendly and really helpful staff. Pleasant breakfast room and a good breakfast. Comfortable room, quite dated but nice clean bathroom. Great location for what we needed.

Carpet in the room is tired, but for a one night stopover I would definitely book again.

The owner helped to take luggage to our room. Room was very nicely laid out and dressed and was clean. Tea and coffee provided and other accessories. Bed was comfortable and pillows were great. Breakfast was wonderful. Freshly cooked to order and served individually straight from the pan and it was all hot. It meant a slight delay between each guest being served, but only a minute and this was acceptable. Toast was amazing. No thin sliced white bread, it was chunky malted farmhouse cob slices, deicious. Only the best butter, no plastic margarine on the table. Everything else you could need for breakfast, it was lovely. The owner was extremely well mannered and listened to requests and went above and beyond to give good service. It was so nice to be in a kind of old fashioned hotel and not a commercial noisy chain hotel.

We did not realise that there was no lift in the building, so had to use the stairs but the owner carried our luggage up to our room. The building layout does not suit a lift installation but we had not realised. Still, it would not stop us staying again.

Very close to the venue for our square dance weekend. Room was spacious and clean and the beds were very comfortable.

Room sizes were good. Location was good.

Decor was a bit tired.

We stayed in Room 6 and were all covered in bedbug bites!

As always the location and facilities were perfect, the staff were very helpful.

Only issue was the radiator next to the bed was unable to switch off so got very warm during the night

I was completely happy with all experience, if I will being the area again I will book room again
