Loved our stay in this friendly village

We enjoyed a great week here in the area for the first time. The property met all our expectations and was a lovely base for activities in the area. We had some conversation with the host before our stay, checking a couple of things and responses were what you would hope for. The house is very comfortable with everything we needed for a good week's holiday - would be a super family base as well - the little beach opposite is a constant pleasure to see and pop over to for an outdoor coffee, etc.

The setting is just perfect, lovely to be so close to the beach! The cottage had everything you could possibly need and Tom was great at responding when we needed assistance. Highly recommend staying here and hope to return in the future 😍

Excellent stay all round! Lovely house, with a superb location opposite the beach, in a cracking little village. Great reception from the locals who made us welcome and gave advice on pubs, restaurants and places to visit. Will definitely be back!

A very cute wee house right on the beach with a stunning view. Easy access to the costal paths and East Beach and just a very short walk to the rest of Findochty. Good location for exploring the area. The house is relatively new and although we were 2, it would suit a family of 4.

Fantastic location and a great time had by all.

Lovely house near beach front. The house itself isnt massive, but feels spacious and well looked after. We had some challenges with heating, but owner was happy to help. Lights at stairs probably need new batteries as they werent working, but all in all a lovely holiday home.

Warm and cosy, well equipped. Plenty of hot water. Impressive scenery especially after two days of gales. Good location opposite the beach.

Had a great stay. The cottage itself was very nice. Large and comfortable and had everything we needed. Location was great next to a pretty little beach. Hosts were easy to communicate with and very helpful.

Last minute booking to visit our daughter and grandchildren who stay near Keith, and also to celebrate the youngest’s 4th birthday. Location was perfect. House very clean and warm on arrival. Well equipped kitchen. Spacious rooms too. The village has a dog friendly pub which serves delicious meals. There is also a little, well stocked shop which also sells newspapers and there is a chemist and post office too. All you need on your doorstep 😊. Really clean and welcoming. Good amount of cooking utensils and the view from the property is completely breathtaking. We saw dolphins, fished and had a wonderful break. Thank you ❤️

Really lovely area and cottage.

This is a great holiday house in a wonderful little fishing village. Contemporary furnishings, very well equipped modern kitchen and two large (one huge) bedrooms make living easy. The house sits opposite a small, sheltered beach with views towards Norway. Outside living is enjoyed on the beachside grassed area to the front, with picnic tables and stone barbecue. It is a 2 minutes walk in one direction to a larger beach, and two minutes in the other to the centre of the village and the pub. You can buy seafood fresh from the creelers at the harbourside. Spoil yourself. The Moray coast is fabulous, the beaches at Cullen and Findhorn being our favourites. To be fair if you stayed a fortnight you could have a different beach every day. And let's not forget that the mountains are just 30 minutes away for the hillwalkers and wildlife spotters. If you're thinking of booking this property, don't hesitate. You will love the house, the area and everything it has to offer.

We had a wonderful stay at the Hythe cottage, lots of beautiful beaches and woodland walks. The Admiral pub is fantastic and lets dogs in the bar and lounge. Thank you to the owners, the cottage was well equipped and very comfortable, we will be back.

Well equipped and perfectly situated, whether you just want to relax with a gentle stroll around the streets of Findochty, with its beautiful houses and harbour, or be a bit more energetic and walk along the coastal paths to nearby Portknockie and Cullen in one direction, and Buckie and Spey Bay in the other. Angus, our airedale terrier, had an absolute ball, on the beaches and in the sea every day. Would highly recommend the area, and Findochty in particular, for a perfect week away.

The house is comfortable and well-equipped and its situation next to the little bay is stunning; the bay great to swim in, and the benches are well placed for witting watching the sunset. Findochty is delightful and very pretty, with plenty of walks, and the whole coast is lovely. Everywhere is so peaceful and all the people are very friendly, I was very sad to have to leave.

Beautiful property with everything you could wish for inside and out. Stunning location, idilic views a perfect quiet retreat to relax and unwind. We will be going back. Highly recommend to all if peace and quiet is what you are looking for.

The area is a must to visit and opening the front door every morning to a beautiful cove with lovely walks right on your door is perfect. There is so much to do around the area most of it within 15 mins drive that one week wasn’t enough time. Even our teenage daughters really enjoyed it and our doggy seems depressed since we got back - think she misses the sea as much as we do! Seeing the 50+ seals at Port Gordon was wonderful.

The house is has a spacious and very well equipped interior, whilst outside, the small beach with picnic tables are just across a quiet road and with spectacular views across the bay and Moray Firth. We saw dolphins from our bedroom window! We would not hesitate to stay here again, if we revisit Moray. Nothing to find fault with and a beautiful setting. Many thanks!

We stayed at this property for 4 nights in Aug 23. It is perfect. The town is just lovely and the locals super friendly. If you love golf or walking this is the place and the coastal walks east or west are just breathtaking. The property itself is just as described with everything provided for and, I genuinely mean this, super clean-probably the highest standard we've ever had in a holiday rental. The communication with the owners was second to none. The views from the property were lovely and just across a quiet road you can sit on a picnic bench and enjoy your morning coffee. If the owners ever wanted to sell I'd be at the front of the queue. I cannot recommend highly enough.

Fantastic location. Cottage very comfortable and was very well equipped which allowed us to prepare home cooked meals. Would recommend to family and friends. Communication with Tom and Ashley was excellent throughout the whole process.

A beautiful little fishing village with a splendid view of the sea from the property. We had a wonderful time walking the local harbour and walking the beach at Cullen. To complete our visit we were lucky to see dolphins.

We couldn't have hoped for more for our introduction to this lovely part of Scotland. The accommodation was clean, comfortable and in a great location, with a little cove just opposite. We really enjoyed Findochty and the walks along this part of the coastline too.

Great spot, right on the Hythe. We loved the peace and quiet.

Very clean and modern inside. And spacious. No complaints at all. Location is what makes it so special. The little beach opposite is sooo handy. Dog loved it. Beautiful views over the cove. Some gorgeous sunsets. Topped off by a swim past of a pod of dolphins. Findochty itself is picture postcard pretty as are many other places nearby. A great stay. Recommended

Sun sets to die for,relaxing and chilled pace of life. Beautiful cottage. Brilliant correspondence with the owners. The views from the bedrooms and lounge are fabulous. Locals very friendly. Recommend a meal at the Admiral and port Gordon to see the seals on the beach.
