The warm and genuine hospitality of the owner made our stay. The farm was generously stocked with essentials like farm fresh eggs, ham, lots of bottled water etc... and unexpected treats like a bottle of wine and fresh Alentejan bread. We also got given daily edible treats like iberian ham one day, a freshly baked cake on another and fresh cheese and were told we were welcome to use herbs and veg from the farm garden. While the owner spoke only Portuguese, he went out of his way to make our stay comfortable and communication via the booking.com was always prompt and answered fully in perfect English. The location is excellent for escaping the city and visiting some of the highlights of this part of Alentejo on day trips. The owner has taken time to add little touches like a bbq area, dining spots, hammocks and a pool area that make this a perfect place for a few days break with friends and family. The beautiful mornings and sunsets, sounds of birds, bleating sheep and lambs and nesting cranes would make nature lovers very happy!

The location is really perfect for some peace and quiet and beautiful scenery, but is a reasonable distance from any amenities/mini markets. You'd be best stocking up at a supermarket for your stay before you get there or doing a big shop early in your stay. The place is typical of a rural farm stay and is best suited to a 3+ night stay - we found we appreciated the place more the longer we stayed (5 nights)
