What a great property for a low-key relaxing get-a-way! We were greeted by the owner & gifted a horseshoe. Such a friendly guy-he welcomed us & then left us to enjoy the cabin. We had everything we needed to take advantage of the beautiful scenery & nearby towns. The breezes on the porch were amazing & went perfectly with our iced drinks in the evenings. We got to feed cookies to the horses and our puppies enjoyed the acreage for roaming. Our cabin was large enough to accommodate us & we loved the comfy furniture. Lots of supplies were provided, including coffee, bottled water, paper goods, and utensils of all kind. There was a good Wi-Fi connection & Dish TV. Lots of peace & quiet, but close enough to Boerne, Pipe Creek & Bandera to go antiquing, enjoy the local cuisine, Putt-putt & the Corvette Show! We thoroughly enjoyed our accommodations & the time spent there!

You couldn't ask for a better place to enjoy your weekend. We had an amazing time! When we arrived, Butch (the owner) checked in with us and welcomed us with open arms and great hospitality. He gave us cookies to feed the 2 horses on the property in the morning, such a wonderful time having them walk up to you and feed them out of your hand. We made a total of 3 fires in the fire ring with the wood provided. Roasted some marsh mellows and had a few drinks under the stars with a great hot fire. Cooked breakfast both mornings and used the grill on the second day. Everything was supplied to us for the grill. I would totally come back again for another weekend and maybe stay 3 nights. The house was so clean and we had everything for our stay. Thanks to Butch (the owner) and Spencer (property manager) for such an enjoyable stay for me and my date, who was celebrating her 60 th birthday. Glenn and April Austin/Cedar Park Texas

It was very comfortable and relaxing after riding all day on the bike! Loved our fire pit time in the evenings! It was all a great experience.

My biggest gripe is finding the place. Instructions were never sent to me and the address on the website takes you to the owners front gate. Once I called the host and recieved what I needed to get there, the owner came introduce himself. He's a really nice guy and gave us plenty us space as other reviews mentioned. Hoping to get my house built soon. If not, I'll give this location another go.

Loved this cabin! Peaceful, clean, comfortable and the wildlife was a bonus! Butch is a terrific host and made us feel right at home! Check-in was a snap, and we had all that we needed for a great little getaway! The firepit was wonderful on a crisp November night and the deer and horses on the property were amazing! Wish we could have stayed longer! If you're looking for a place to vacate the hustle and bustle, you will love the Hideout!

Enjoyed staying in nature vs a hotel. Nice to see deer running loose and the owner let's his horses run loose in the property. We were able to pet and feed the horses.

Perfectly matched the description. Butch, the owner, lives elsewhere on the property and was very helpful. The horses were cool and loved to come get treats. We also saw Jack rabbits and a ton of deer in the property. The location is great and is between Pipe Creek/Bandera and Boerne. If you ride a motorcycle, it’s a great starting point to get to Hwy 16 and the Three Sisters motorcycle route.

Butch was friendly, Warm and helped us getting the feel of rural area. Thanks for the experience. The place was calm, peaceful.

Everything was nice. The only issue is the tap water smells like sulphur in that area. The owner does supply a lot of bottled water for drinking. We had a nice quiet stay .

Came here to celebrate fiancé’s birthday and the stay was perfect . Butch was so nice and welcoming gave us a souvenir and even showed us how to feed the horses . The cabin is so beautiful and has every essential needed. We loved it and hope to be back again.

The property was great! Butch was very kind and hospitable. It was a very easy process from check in and checking out. The horses were the best part of the whole stay. The cabin itself was very clean. Overall, we were very happy with it.

We spent the weekend enjoying the hill country views from the cozy porch, cooking out, and exploring nearby Boerne & Bandera, as well as other quaint little communities in the area. This is the most beautiful part of Texas, so I highly recommend a trip - and this cabin is perfect for convenience & privacy. We loved it!

My fiancée and I can't say enough nice things about our stay at this cabin. The amenities and property are truly fantastic and a perfect opportunity to get away to a relaxing place. Butch was a wonderful host and very receptive every time we spoke with him. Also, the horses are just the icing on the property, would stay again in a heartbeat.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The way the property is laid out, you feel like you are the only ones within miles, although there are properties nearby. Nice views of the surrounding hills. Enjoyed having the horses grazing outside each morning. The cabin is attractive and comfortable, with ample amenities. An electric entry gate would be a nice addition for the future. Close proximity to Bandera and Boerne. Butch, our host was attentive without being intrusive.
